The first meeting was great and the price was reasonable (not the lowest but they aren't marketed as the cheapest game in town). But as the date of the project drew near communications dropped off until we just never heard back from them again. A September/October start became post-Thanksgiving and then emails and phone calls went un-returned. I always feel a bit grateful when that happens- at least I found that out before i wrote any checks. But needless to say they get a low rating given how easy it is to communicate and then chose to just go silent.

I had the same problem another customer described. No answer from them, job not done.. At the time of the initial bid, Russ Craig told me I would have to wait 2 months until they could do the repair.That would have happened mid September. I agreed, there was no emergency. Since 9/2016, I sent messages and phone calls, and was told that " it was a small job, and they were going to fit it between two big jobs", then , that" they would be on my street in 2 weeks and would contact me ". It was 3 weeks ago, and they did not contact me. We are mid November, and the repair has not been done. Lately, I saw a deer in my yard eating the plants! With time, what was a simple repair has turned into an emergency! You can guess how upset I am! I have canceled my work order with them and shall not use them again. A Franc

I got a referral from a co-worker who had a fence built a month before. Craig Fencing wasn't lowest bid; however, I liked the fact that the company uses premium redwood and has done business for a long time. The crew finished in two-days and the fence looks great!

We have a flag lot, so the fence between us and the neighbor faces our front door. Very visible. About 15 years ago we had a decorative fence installed. 6x6 posts, extra, heavier than normal rails, etc, to dress it up and show well. Recently we noticed it was starting to lean, which revealed several rotting posts. We called 5 well regarded installers. 4 replied. Three were so busy, it would take them 10 days to look at the job and give us an estimate. And the work itself would be at least 6 weeks out. We needed the work done soon, to preserve the fence and before we left on a trip. Russ Craig was our savior. We talked and he came and gave us a bid 2 days later. He could do the work the following week. Perfect. He bid the job 2 ways: take down the fence, install new posts and rebuild it, or, install cripples by taking out the concrete on one side of the posts, digging down and installing the new stabilizing posts, about half the height of the old posts and then would be bolted to the old posts. The cost of the cripples was about 2/3 the cost of the replacement. I did some homework to see exactly what kind of best grade, pressure treated Douglas Fir posts we wanted. They came tagged with the specs from the supplier. The crew, Guiermo and Costantino did a fabulous job. They are true craftsmen. Plus personable and helpful. They added some extras that made the job even better. They showed up on time and left the site spotless. We were happy to give them a nice tip... they deserved it. We recommend Craig Fencing 100%.

They were really responsive to our needs. We have dogs so you can imagine how important a fence is for our property. They came out, quoted us a price, and when we booked the job they were here punctually at 0800. The crew was very professional and extremely pleasant. They got the job done and not only does it look great, but its great quality! Talk about piece of mind!

The installation went as expected. The workmanship is excellent. Craig Fencing's estimate was the highest of the three that I obtained but my neighbor, who was sharing the cost, had previous experience with the company and wanted to use them. I would recommend them.

Craig Fencing was well worth the wait. Russ gave us a good quote. And his schedule worked well with ours and the fence is beautiful. Lots of cement in those post holes unlike a contractor we used for the other side of the yard a few years ago. This was a good-neighbor fence and our neighbors contracted for gate replacements too. I was a bit envious of those incredible gates! Russ and his crew were punctual, organized, clean and quick. Nearly 100 ft of fencing and 2 very large gates done in about 2 1/2 days. And talk about clean-up, not a spec of sawdust anywhere and they even cleaned up the debris left over from landscapers that had pulled out the overgrown ivy the week before. My DYI husband was pleased enough to contract another job. Craig Fencing is on my short list for a patio cover later next year. Russ arrived at the appointed hour to look at the job and render an estimate. His experience and professional manner was in evidence. Received an emailed quote, called to discuss a few details and alternatives and contracted for the job: removing and replacing a 24" wood retainer wall. His crew arrived on time, went about their work in a workman like manner; left the site clean and neat prior to leaving every day. Crew checked in with me on occasion, e.g.: where did I want to keep the excess soil, etc. Russ came by to ensure the work was being carried out per spec and wood was delivered on time. At the end of job Russ asked me to accompany him on an inspection, answered a few remaining questions; I gave him a check. Could not be happier with the new wall; even the neighbors are impressed with the look and quality.

They were great. They did a really good job. The work quality seems to be excellent.

This contractor was very generous and put us ahead of some other customers in the job que because our fence was blown over on both sides of our home following a severe storm. Initially, he was professional, and the job was started and completed on time. The work was excellent. However, it has been about 9 months and he will not return my phone calls or emails to follow-up on replacing new hinges which were ordered when the job was initially completed. Currently, hinges on one large driveway gate are inadequate for the weight of the gate and he is completely unresponsive to my email/phone requests to follow-up and fix the work, which is still under warranty. Shortly after our job was completed, I gave this company a very positive referral to a friend and there was no follow-up whatsoever by Craig Fencing to offer to do a quote. I am very disappointed in the professionalism of this company and would not recommend them in the future, although overall, we are happy with the fence.

It was a very positive experience. They were excellent. They were on time, worked quickly and the crew was great. I would highly recommend them.

I think the quality of the fence is good and we were fairly happy with their quality of work on the fence itself. We had some issues with them. The existing vines on the fence were broken and did not replaced back as they were. They did not do what they said they would do as far as taking care of the existing vegetation. I did have to call them several times to get someone to come back and fix it. Also, a week later, they came to do work on our next door neighbor's fence. They came through our backyard and were working from our yard on the fence and did not bother to call or even knock on the door to inform me.

Excellent work. Has a very good crew. They were fast and cleaned up after themselves.
