We cannot praise this business enough! Last fall, we purchased a new Lopi woodstove from Sierra Home Alternatives to replace our 25-year-old Vermont Castings stove. Everything went very smooth: Installation was perfect, instructions were clear & everyone we dealt with was very professional & courteous. Over the wood-burning season this past winter, we came to realize that this particular stove was not what we wanted in a wood stove, so we went back to Sierra to talk to them about what we could do to replace it since it was only several months old. During the ensuing discussion, we came to realize that we wanted another Vermont Castings & there was a new one being phased out of their showroom. We ended up buying this one & again, the whole process was flawless. The workers who installed the new stove left our house looking spotless. They took the almost new Lopi to their showroom & agree to try to sell it for us, which they did. We so appreciate this business because they go over & beyond for their customers and are so easy to deal with. Don't go anywhere else if you need a new wood burning or gas stove!

Have get "proof of destruction" from Sierra Home Essentials to claim rebate for replacing old wood stove. All has gone well, and expect that to continue through there good service.

Sierra Home Alternative replaced the original gas fireplace (house was built in 1997) with a Valor H4 series gas fireplace. They answered all our questions, arrived on time, and completed all work to our satisfaction. Follow up questions with them has also been easy over the years.

Very nice folks in the showroom. Informative and helpful. Installation crew was prompt and swift. They needed extra supplies due to some issue in our setup. They went and got them and returned and completed the job on time.

Since they were the ones we bought our fireplace insert from and they installed it, I wouldn't use anyone else to maintain it. They are thorough, professional and fair prices.

I wanted to convert my wood burning fireplace into a gas insert. They walked me through the pros and cons of different manufacturers and models. Came out to my home and provided an estimate and installation time frame. Called me to confirm appointment times. Handled all permits and assisted me on applying for an AQMD (El Dorado County) rebate. Very positive experience.

They were excellent. I would highly recommend them. It was a little bit more expensive than other places but they used higher end parts. They are very knowledgeable about their product and the installation process. They were willing to negotiate the installation price a little bit. They cautioned me about shortcuts that other people might take.

I called the company with the additional order. Though they were very busy with the installation of woodstoves, they were able to fit me in even though I live some distance from their shop. Willie came out again, advised me on a better placement for the tubes and the work was quickly and profesionally done. Excellent folks.

They did a very good job. They were very thorough and clean. The service technician was very courteous and he did good work as well.

They have a lot of experience and I have used them before. They are very efficient and the work looks good. I will use them again in the future.

I called about two weeks before the installation. They estimated the price based on the description of the roof and attic that I gave them, and, because of the size of the order they were able to use their installer, Willie Jones, even though it was a 40 minute drive each way over mountain roads for him. Willie and I had to move the time up abit on the scheduled day because of rain, but the work was finished by 4:00 PM and was immediately tested by a rainstorm in the next 5 days. Perfect work. I really like these folks.

Sierra Home Alternatives were absolutely great from start to finish. The sales people were very helpful and knowledgeable, and not high pressure. The installers were great; very competent, clean and friendly. We had a rebate from the Sac air quality district that they had not dealt with before. Time was almost out to use it, so they went the extra mile and got qualified with the air district in order for us to get the rebate. When we got a check in the mail for the rebate I was totally impressed. Sierra Home Alternatives has great customer service. We had the fireplace insert installed about 1 1/2 years ago and it has worked just great. I can't recommend Sierra Home Alternatives highly enough!

They were very professional, reasonable and effective. Did everything they said they were going to do on a timely basis.
