I talked to about four companies before I settled on Sandridge. I met Chuck at the house I was buying before I moved into it. I was in a time crunch because the previous owners were still ripping out carpeting while I was actually moving my furniture into the house so, I was not able to have the floor laid until I was moved into the new house. I had a few other projects that had to be scheduled around the flooring job. Chuck was able and happy to accommodate my weird schedule and timing. He and his crew were professional and friendly and skilled at what they had to do. The first day of the job the crew had to level the concrete floors by grinding them and using a filler for some of the low points of the concrete slab. The next two days they laid the floor in four bedrooms and closets and the large living room. The rest of the job had to wait for another project to be done first. Fast forward about a year - there were a lot of projects - Chuck and crew came back and started where they left off and had the dining room, large family rooms and the kitchen floor laid in one day. Chuck also sells hardwood flooring but I decided to purchase my flooring from another company who had what I was looking for on clearance and I really liked it. For an extra $50, yes - $50 - Chuck drove from Placerville, where he lives, down to Hayward in the South Bay Area, picked up over 2,200 sq ft of the flooring and delivered it to my house - you can't beat that for a deal. Before I hired Sandridge, I talked to one other independent flooring contractor who was not a personality fit for me and S&G Carpets and the Costco Flooring Program. S&G Carpets was competitive with Sandridge but Costco's job actually came out to be more costly than Sandridge's even with the rebates and gift cards Costco offers for using its program. Chuck told me about the proper way and cleaner to use when cleaning the floors. About a week after the first half of the job he stopped by to check on the job and to make sure I was happy with everything. He stopped by after the crew was finished with the second part of the project, too. So, to sum it up: Sandridge Flooring was professional, competitively priced, flexible with my weird schedule, and a pleasure to have in the house doing a great job. I highly recommend their services.
Description of Work: I needed hardwood flooring laid in the entire house after I tore out all the very old and uncleanable carpet from the previous homeowner. I had to have it done on a weird schedule where half the house would be done at a time.

Chuck and Doug and team did a great job on the whole project. Nice people doing quality work. They were happy to accommodate my schedule for other renovations in the house so that one half of the house was floored until I could get my kitchen remodeled, then the other half of the house was floored. My flooring material was delivered to the manufacturer's warehouse in Hayward and Chuck and Doug and team drove to Hayward to pick up the materials for an extra fee that was much less than the manufacturer wanted to deliver to me in Citrus Heights. It was a really big job so the cost might seem large but they were competitive with the other three bids I got. In fact, I even gave Costco a shot at a bid and it was $8,000.00 more than Sandridge. And, Costco would not accommodate my home improvement schedule nor negotiate for a lower cost. I've included a picture of the kitchen floor area they did but they actually did the whole house.
Description of Work: Leveling concrete slab by grinding and filling as necessary. Lay hardwood floor throughout house - 2300 sq ft.
