Description of Work: Mike Wallace was to perform a termite inspection for a home purchase transaction. He would not crawl under the house to inspect due to hanging insulation from heat/air ducts. I inspected the hanging insulation personally. It certainly would of not stopped me or any other termite company I do business with! We sent contractors to inspect and clear a path for mike to inspect. He still would not inspect until we spent over $500 to repair insulation. Once repaired, Mike would not make the effort to re-inspect quickly and took 4 days to complete the inspection which delayed the escrow. In 25 years in the real estate business I have NEVER encountered such a Prima Donna that did not care about his customer's needs. Mike demonstrated the most un-professional attidude I could imagine. In this market and economy most companies are providing Excellant customer service! Prospector termite and Mike Wallace would not even provide Average customer service. I encourage everyone to AVOID doing business with Prospector termite and mike wallce as there are numerous companies that look forward to the oportunity to provide Excellant customer service!! prospectortermitesucks.com

+ -1 moreA routine termite inspection by another company revealed dry rot on fascia boards. The location was difficult and our eaves are closed and covered with stucco, so we were told the gutters and some roof tiles would have to be removed to complete the repairs. We had estimates from two companies ranging from $2,500 to $3,500. A third contractor said he wouldn't touch the job. We were referred to Prospector by a realtor friend. They found an ingenious way to remove and repair the fascia without completely removing the gutters and without removing any roof tiles. The job was completed professionally and looks great. We were stunned that they could complete the work for one-tenth the cost of the previous lowest bid and that the completed product looked so good. The contractors were prompt, professional, skilled and courteous. They showed us where they were treating all adjacent wood and new wood to ensure the problem did not recur.
Description of Work: Replaced and treated fascia boards at eaves where we had dry rot.
