Gilmore Heating & Air

Went great. Arrived on schedule. Performed work in a timely manner. Thought service included washing outside unit. Fine print didn't include it. Like them well enough to order a future service. So they cleaned my unit while here. Good business.

I was very disappointed specially when you spend that kind of money you are hoping to get some rebates. They said that if I was under a different program it would be a piece of cake and I will get my money back really easily. Under PG & E it is a lot of hassles because I have to pay money upfront to have them come out to look at this and that and I don't end up getting enough money to make it worthwhile. Well, that is not the final impression that I have; they should be able to get a rebate and that the provider is supposed to submit the paper work and I have now from the PG & E signed twice sent email to say let's revisit this issue because you guys said "no we can't get a rebate"; that's not what I believed to be true. I have not heard anything back from them at all. I will keep on following up on this one. However, it went fine but what was surprising was they came out one early afternoon then within an hour or two a salesman came over and I think they started working the next day. It was all really good in terms of turn around. We found out we have another cold air returned vent installed so it was a lot more work. This house was originally built in '89 and then they put a thousand foot addition on it but I am getting the impression that they didn't take care of that well when they should have. So some of the motors were burnt out than they should have been. It was good to know all of that; if I look at the name of the unit I don't recognize them and that sorts of bothers me. I don't know anything in terms of did we get overcharged; it sound like an awful amount of money. Everything was done very professionally and we don't have a problem with that.

Gilmore is always punctual, polite and professional. They explained why we were having the different Temps and what we could do to rectify the situation. They also cleaned all the filters for us since we have the lifetime filters the worker cleaned them and re-installed them which is so kind because with ten foot ceilings it is a pain to drag a big ladder all over the house to clean the filters.

The tech talked me into a service plan to get a 20 % discount on the repair quote. Then I asked for a replacement estimate. Salesman came out next week and provided a quote and coaxed me into signing agreement because he is giving me a discount to get his crew working on it the next day. Next day salesman called and said crew had another job. Got 2 other quotes, one of which was much less, so I went with them. Had to send in 3 day notice of recission to Gilmore, and asked for refund of service agreement.

Nice guy came out promptly to quote, unfortunately final price wasnt competitive.

The service tech came out at the appointed time and did the inspection. He was very professional, courteous and informative. We liked the tech very much, and the fact he was very respectful of our home...cleaned up after himself, wore shoe covers, etc. definitely a good experience!

They came out as scheduled and they up-sold us on a device that we did not need for the house. They did give us some good information but I think that the technician they sent out was more interested in picking up an extra sale and talked us into something that it was not necessary. We ended up putting in a new heating system with another company. I did not like the way they handled themselves. They have since called me back two or three times about follow-up visits, and I have told them that I got a new system and that I'm using a different company so they should stop calling me. I'm not terribly impressed with my experience. The guy was nice enough but he was fast talking an obviously interested in the sales aspect of it. I think the companies are using the Big Deal's to get their companies in there to book service contracts. The guy that came out to our house and tried to sell me an entire system. They were here in time and the did perform the service. the technician was very smart and he gave me some good information about my system. There was good value in having them come out but I would just tell people to be aware because the guy was very smooth in making me feel like my system was going to go down. I don't like that they up-sold me while trying to quote me a new system at the same time.

Service went well.

It was fine. They were very nice and thorough. They did what they said they were going to do and suggested a lot of things but I decided not to do that. The price was worth it.

It was very good. I didn't spend anything other than the cost of the deal and the service was fine. I would give them an 'A' overall.

Contacted me promptly, very friendly staff on phone. Technician on time and explained all he would be doing. Just a checkup on heater so cannot really comment on quality of job. Overall friendly and prompt, well organized company.

I was persuaded to buy a contract for two checks of service this coming year. However, as the furnace may be getting old, I wanted it to be checked twice in the next year.

They did actually what they said they would do at the time they said they would do it. All for the money they first charged us!

Allen was on-time, very polite and informed us at each stage on what was being serviced. Was very competent & explained everything.

Excellent fence. Allen cane on time.told we everything he was going to do, explained it all, did the work proficiently,cleaned up after, and was overall pleasant to have in my house.Excellent employee.

The tech was very professional. He looked at my ductwork, checked the equipment for function and safety. He made a few suggestion for how to increase efficiency and installed a CO alarm in the heater cabinet. I would definitely good with their company again for any future service.

We had to replace the attic furnace, outside air conditioner, some damaged duct system ,and have an additional air intake system installed, updated thermostat, ect. They started at about 7:30 am and left at about 6:30 that evening. It was completed in one day...the 2 instillation workers barely stopped for Lunch. We are pleased with the new system. The price was a little difficult for us but on the whole we are well pleased.

The technician showed up on time and was very friendly and professional. Before starting the inspection, he took the time to explain to us the details and workings of our heating and cooling system. He provided us with a very thorough inspection and insight as to what parts may be needing replaced in the future and why, (Even taking the time to show us the individual parts he was talking about.). There was no high pressured sales to replace everything or buy anything new, just information presented in a very professional manner, which we appreciated. We will definitely be using Gilmore Heating, Air and Solar again.

The technician was well trained, but spent about half of the time here asking me questions. He assured me that he was familiar with my system when he arrived. I had to show him access points. He wanted to sell me a drip leg $132.00, blower clean $132.00, Indoor coil clean $132.00 and a needed air return for $760.00. Technician was not fluent in English and was offended by my resistance to his sales tactics. In short their tactics are back room boiler type sales. Stay away to be safe.

They were very prompt about when we called to complain about everything. They did send someone out the very next day to put the proper part in that was the right capacity. The only thing is where was the value in that part with that cost because we looked up the cost of the part and it was less than $100 dollars. They have trained service technicians but also they have sales guys that try to up sale you.

Nice service people. I called with an emergency and they were there in just a few hours. No extra fee for fast service!

Very professional people. Their quote was lower than some others we got and they just seemed like they knew what they were doing so we contracted with them. They installed everything in one day and it was working when we arrived home from work. The initial bid from Mike Olsen was very thorough and he was very knowledgeable about what it would take. There were no additional charges. The two guys that installed the furnace were clean and timely. They spent all the time I needed to understand the programmable thermostat even though they had already been working for over 8 hours.

They're really good, very reliable, and quick to respond. They're dependable.

We asked for our annual check up on our furnace and air conditioner and found we had some problems with ourair comprssor and furnace.E

The service man was on time, very knowledgeable and pleasant to work with.
