AAA Dryer Vent

I hired this company through the Angi app. The mix of quotes were 159-199. I scheduled with the first company that could accommodate my schedule. Michael (owner) came and did the job - no problem there, took him 30-40 minutes. At the end he asked for cash or a check made to him for 350. I told him that was higher than the estimate and he said because I was a first time customer it was 350, but when I call him next year for a cleaning, it will be 159. I won't be calling next year, and after reading the other reviews, I don't think my experience was unique with this company. Beware.

It took him 35 minutes to do the job and charged me $500.

I was given a quote of $159 or $199 depending on what he found. This was a lie. My cleaning was very easy - he was in and out in 15 minutes. He charged me $199 because I was a new customer, so there was no way for me to get the $159 price he teased. He asked to use my ladder - not a problem, but he did not put it back when he was done. He blew out the lint and left the lint on my ladder and the ground. He was about to leave when the dryer still had one leg on the rug that was originally next to the dryer. I had to ask him to make sure the dryer was level and not on the rug before he left. When asked, he did move the dryer off the rug and made sure it was level.

The work performed was good. The technician (Michael Eary) was polite. What I did not appreciate is that he gave me a quote for $155 (over the phone), but charged me $199 instead. When I reminded him that his quote was $155, his response was that he normally charged between $155 to $199 for the type of work he performed. That, for me, is unacceptable. Specially since he himself told me that my ducting was a lot cleaner than most houses that he did (he did not even fill-up my small dust pan with the lint that he removed from my ducting). I would have given him an "A" rating, if he only honored his own quote. Am I going to call him again? Most probably not. Do I recommend him? Like I said, he did a good work, but be aware that he might charge you way over what he quoted.
