A Thorough Guy Home Inspections

Description of Work: I cannot recommend Mike highly enough. He inspected two properties for us. One of which we now live in. He saved us from a money pit in the first property. I will without fail call on him again in the event I need an inspection.

Description of Work: Mike did a very thorough inspection of the interior, exterior, attic, and roof of a single family home (detached). He photographed and commented on all issues whether in need of repair, out of code or likely future problems. He provided a detailed report of over 100 pages. Even though some things seemed minor it is a great way to prioritize a "to-do" list for the new homeowner.

Description of Work: 7 hours of observational inspection. Very helpful onsite. Arrived early and began exterior review before we arrived with our realtor. Yielded roughly 115 page report complete with photos and clear descriptions. It took us to the next level of examination on our pending purchase. Ultimately, we chose not to buy the house, in part because of questions raised in his report.

Description of Work: We had a home inspected before purchase and hired A Thorough Guy to do the inspection. Mike showed up on-time, was professional and thorough. He went above and beyond to cover all bases and made sure that we understood the scope of his review. He took a few hundred photos and took time right after the review to go over all of the content in detail. He might be a bit pricier but is well worth it. I will definitely use him in the future.

Description of Work: We can't say more about Mike who did a home inspection service for one of our potential purchase of a investment homes. We wish that we would known about him earlier. he runs the most professional service there is. Instant print-out photos and a DVD and a binder with all the knowledge of the home he inspected. Not to mention all the explanation the problem of the home with photos which show the right way of the installation. He even offers us drinks and optional letting us use his I-pad to kill time. He call and arrange for payment very professionally. Mike will the only guy for all of our future home inspections. Description of Work: This was a home inspection for my new home in Anaheim Hills. In my opinion, Mike Okamura definitely is a deserving namesake of his own company. The amount of knowledge and the studious nature of Mike's approach to his task of home inspection is bar none. His price is certainly not the cheapest out in the market, but, in California, when we deal with very high real estate prices, his services are absolutely worth every penny. Mike worked approximately three hours on the home inspection and then an additional one hour to show us his report, which he prints out on the spot with tons of pictures of potential issues and their severity. He even brings a cooler full of refreshments! Of course, the seller's agent didn't like Mike at all, telling me at the close to not to recommend Mike to any potential buyer, since his thoroughness may break many future real estate deals, since it may make the seller run away, when they're faced with all the issues that Mike rightfully points out to. To me, this is the best reccomendation for Mike, and, if you want to make sure that the biggest investment you'll ever make in your life is secure and free of any hidden flaws, you gotta go with The Thorough Guy!

Description of Work: Mike describes himself as “a thorough guy” which is an understatement. He went through everything, calling our attention to old rust stains that might be indicative of past problems. He pointed our several issues that were minor and could be easily repaired. . He found an area that was obscured from inspection and added a comment that the obstructing material be removed for further inspection. Before leaving us, he provided us a though final report which was completely organized and actionable. Although we had his check ready for the agreed upon price, he reduced his price because he was able to do a thorough inspection in less time and said he tried to bill based on his time rather than the job itself.
