Description of Work: Had duct work inspected and was recommended to replace all duct work do to damage from kitchen contractor and leakage of air under the floor and attic. was quoted for replacement and also for repair. Did not go forward with repair yet, but would consider in the future.

Description of Work: When you have a 50+ year old HVAC system, you expect anyone who looks at it to pitch you a new one. That didn't happen with Stewart HVAC. Rather, Jamie took a good look at the system and declared it in outstanding condition. Then, he took the time show us what we needed to do to maintain the system we have. We were thoroughly impressed with his professionalism and honesty. We will be using Stewart again the next time we need the services of an HVAC specialist - which might just be when we upgrade to modern, energy efficient equipment.

Description of Work: I made an appointment on Thursday for Saturday. The company has a special at $49/ Furnace and this was the best price I found. I have two older units in my house. The appointment for 9:00 to 11:00 and Jamie showed up at 9:15. He had booties for cover his shoes and was very nice. He inspected both units, cleaned the units and checked everything over. He also asked about CO detectors and how important they are. We have two co / gas detectors and I am going to buy some more since we have three gas fireplaces and two gas furnaces. Walmart has these for $41. i would recommend Stewart and will be looking to get my air ducts cleaned. Good job guys!

Description of Work: Don came and got right to work. He serviced the furnace located in the attic cleaned the parts. He also changed the air filter. When I mentioned that we have an unbalanced heat issue, he suggested that we close the vent upstairs when we are in living room located downstairs. That did the trick for us. The heat is now balanced throughout the house. Thanks

Description of Work: When my thermostat did not work, I called Stewart and someone came promptly and found the problem quickly. I paid the minimum fee for the house call which was around $70. Previously I had called them to find out why the furnace would not go on. It turned out to be a switch that would not go on because the furnace door was not closed properly. They made a free inspection of the attic and found that some ducts needed retaping and one section needed replacing. They offered to retape all the duct joints, replace the crushed duct, set traps for rats (they found some dead ones in traps), secure air ducts in the garage from animals entering, and seal around the furnace where air was getting in. They namedr a price but I did not have them do the work.

Description of Work: I was disappointed with Stewart. I was told that I could save lots of money by getting an energy evaluation (not the correct name for it). I paid $200 to do so. I found that I could save only if I spend much more than I planned on or was willing to pay. He did not give me a firm figure for his services until I made it clear that I was not planning on spending all that money to save some money. If I had gone along with his idea, the HVAC system would have cost more than anyone else quoted. I am left with a bad feeling
