He did a good job on the retaining wall. His name is Herb Morean. The work took 3 days. The retaining wall looks fine but it is modest. I went with the cheapest price. I had gotten bids from other people and he was cheaper. I didn't want to spend a lot of money, its an old house. It was exactly what I needed. He was here everyday like at 8:30 and they worked really hard.

He was here promptly, he looked at it and said it was going to cost this much and it would take one day. He was here with 2 other guys and they just did a really good job. His specialty is fencing. He came on Monday at 8:30 and the fence was up by 3:00 and really looked good. I paid him that day. I paid him something in the morning and then when he completed it, I paid him the rest. I shared the cost with my neighbor because the fence separated two homes. I paid 650 and the neighbor paid 650. He had worked for my neighbor before and my neighbor said that he'd done a good job. So that's why when the fence between us was falling down, she recommended him and that's why I used him. I watched them put the fence up. He was here when he said he'd be here, ready to work.

License Number 837254. While the quality of his work is acceptable, his attitude and professionalism need a lot of work. I contracted with him on May 6. He did most of the work the following day, but didn't finish and also needed to make some important changes. He didn't complete this simple job until early August. He is very difficult to reach and when you finally do get him he is impossible deal with. He believes he is always right and the customer never is. It wasn't until I contacted the California State Licensing Board that he was forced to fix the problems and finish the work. I've been a real estate broker, owned several houses and have worked with a lot of contractors over the past 35 years, and never had this level of difficulty. This guy was by far the worst. Save yourself some frustrations and headaches and go elsewhere for your fencing needs.
