Liars! Liars! Liars! Do not use this company. I was sent a plumber from Plumbing Express ( based on recollection- ~ 45-55 yo, 5’5-7”, Caucasian, goatee) via the home warrantee company. The plumber sent did fix the drain which was broken (although installed it in an unlevel fashion- which is less than ideal) but in the process chipped the porcelain and/or chipped a coat of paint over the porcelain (I am uncertain still). I believe the damage was done in the process of removing the old drain, I surmise, since the plumber left some hard pieces of concrete/plaster which was around the drain which he removed in the process, hence I know that the removal was traumatic. I reported this to the company in an unemotional manner and asked how they planned to address it. They told me that the plumber reported that he didn’t do it (that it was like that beforehand). They said that he has worked for them for 26 yrs and has never had an issue. I then impressed upon them that such was not the case. I of course have no photo proof of the condition of the sink immediately prior to the plumber’s visit, but nor does the plumber have proof that the sink was ‘supposedly’ damaged before initiating work (which I would have assumed he would document if such did exist so to ward off false accusation)/protect himself). I do not yet know how much will it cost to repair the sink (per Google between $500-2000) . A reputable company would assume responsibility for of the damage they caused, rather than lying about it. I plan to take them to small claims court and let as many folks as possible know not to use this company if possible. (Also, they supposedly fixed the running toilet. Instead, he made is much worse and another plumber will need to come to fix it)

I had gotten a quote from another plumber but since my realtor was paying for it he opted to go with Plumbing Express since they were cheaper. The plumber who showed up was named James. He was nice but not very professional (kind of gave me the shady vibe). He did the quote and work the same day which I was thankful for. He did not turn the gas back on since he said he did not know how to light the heater and we couldn't leave the gas running without doing that. When my plumber came a few days later and turned on the gas it was leaking from where he fixed it and from a new spot. James came back and fixed both for no extra charge which I was very appreciative of but I would have rather had it fixed right and tested the first time. In addition, I asked James for a quote on a few more jobs around my house. I did not hear from him for a few days so I called and left a message with the company. Finally a few days later they called back and said he had been in a car accident and that is why he hadn't gotten back to me. The problem is that the lady at the company knew I was waiting for a quote since they day James came to my house and could have called me to let me know about the situation. I just wrote them off as flakes for not returning my phone call within a few days of me leaving the message. I don't know if there work is always this quality but one way to ensure that you do a good job is test it. And customer service goes a long way so follow up with people. Needless to say I would not recommend them to anyone but I only had them work on one small issue in my house.

Horrible. What else can I say.
Description of Work: This company was hired by my home warranty company. I wanted to add to my prior report on Plumbing Express. Their work was so shoddy I couldn't pass inspection. It cost me $1500 to fix their work. Their defense - and I quote - no one uses the Uniform Building Code, and city inspectors don't go by it. I finally had to file a claim with their bond company whose expert stated that Plumbing Express' work was so substandard that they reimbursed me for all my costs. That says it all.. AS AN UPDATE: I filed a complaint with Plumbing Express's contractor's bond, who assigned an expert to assess the problem. The expert concluded that Plumbing Express's work was so far below industry standards that I was awarded every penny I spent fixing their work.

DO NOT USE PLUMBING EXPRESS!!! They were sent by my home warranty company to replace a tankless water heater. They didn't fill out the proper paperwork; didn't tell me I needed a city inspection after the work was done; they didn't let me or the warranty company know that a different gas line was necessary. Now the warrant company will not pay for the new gas line, and I can't get the heater signed off on until I pay TWELVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to put in a new gas line. If I had known this, I would have put in a conventional water heater. Plumbing Express knows nothing about the Building Code, and now that my warranty company has fired them from their list of contractors, I can't even have them backcharged. Now I have to file a claim with their surety bond. Save yourselves the headache and money and don't EVER use Plumbing Express!!!

Their rep (Brian) came out due to our bathroom sink being stopped up and our shower faucet was dripping. He barely looked at the sink and insisted that the both things couldn't be fixed (even though we have had people fix the shower faucet in the past and have the invoices to prove it) and left. The amount paid was under our home warranty. Afterward I found one of our good bath towels hanging there soaking wet. He must have tried to clean up the water in the sink and in the drain as now there are black marks on a towel that was clean and dry before he showed up.
Description of Work: No work was performed - came out and decided that there was nothing they could do.

The work was fine. Unfortunately, after I paid for the work with my credit card, my information was stolen. Luckily my credit card company flagged all the fradulent charges and I was not out any money, but I did need to get a new card. The plumbing company was very unhelpful during this situation, denied that they were at fault (their charge was the only time I had used the card in 2 months), refused to explain their security procedures or detail any changes made to safeguard customer information in the future, and made no amends, such as a sincere apology.
Description of Work: The main water line to my house broke. The line is buried under concrete. We chose another route for the line, I pulled up some plants, and the plumber dug a trench, took up some concrete, laid a new pipe, back-filled the hole, poured new concrete, and installed a new shut-off valve.
