I had some minor to moderate dry rot repairs that needed to be done, along with painting the exterior house. After getting about 5 different estimates, most estimates resembled very closely in price, except for one. At first, we had decided to hire the cheaper company to save a few dollars. Then, when speaking with the owner (of this cheaper company), he started telling me about his last job. He stated, "that he just painted an exterior single story home, which pretty much fell to the ground". He says that he advised the owner prior to painting; about major issues with dry rot that must be repaired first. Apparently that was not within the elderly owner's budget, so he painted the outside anyway (knowing it was going to cause a problem). So, after hearing this; I decided not to hire this painter/company. It was obvious, that his ethics were just about making money and not doing the right thing. Then, I gave Lee (Wine Country Painters) a call. Lee came out and took a look at the project in great detail. Within a few days, he emailed me an estimate, along with copies of his workers compensation insurance, business license, business card & past reviews. I reviewed and researched all his documents and everything checked out to be legit. After, Lee & I signed the contract; work began with repairing some minor dry rot. We'll the minor repairs turned into a little bit more, when the workers noticed a few other areas of dry rot, that wasn't detected earlier. Lee had given me an estimate to repair only so much dry rot; but he was generous to repair double that (only charging us for the extra materials and giving us extra time to pay). The team of 2 workers with the owner was on time each day, very courteous and keeping us up-to-date each step of the way. They took their time and did a quality job, that was above my expectations. The dry rot repairs and painting the outside took nearly two weeks to finish. On their very last day, they cleaned up very nicely. We couldn't be happier! I was fortunate to be able to hire the very best contractor for the job ever. Final words of wisdom! I'm blessed, that I did not hire the cheaper company to save a few hundred dollars. In the long run, it would most likely cost me more.

They recently painted the outside of our house, and they did an excellent job! It was a pleasant experience. We also thought their prices were competitive. We will use them again.
