+ -1 moreTHe experience went great from beginning to end. Despite having sold and purchasing a half dozen properties, we learned some valuable insights from Westgate.
Description of Work: We used Westgate Realty as our buyer's agent. We are moving to Petaluma from another state, and really needed a real estate agent that could represent us remotely in order to acquire a property in the most highly coveted neighborhood in Petaluma. Our expectations were surpassed. Sue White listened intently to our objectives, and monitored our reactions to a variety of properties. Based on this, she visited properties as they came up and did a remarkable job in filtering out those that were not a fit for us. When a property did come up while we were on vacation in Hawaii, and Sue was also taking a week off - Steve Gavriloff (the firm's owner) stepped in and did an incredible job of walking through the property making video and commentary. Based on this, we made an offer with the wonderful support and experience that Steve was able to provide. It's not often that I would highlight the high integrity and ethics of the real estate community, but I certainly would in this case.I cannot recommend this firm highly enough!

+ -1 moreI cannot express enough how easy and thorough Mike was to work with for 6 months. I found Mike by accident when I called on my own to look at a home his office had listed. After our first meeting, he sent me by e-mail all the homes that fit my criteria. I called Mike to just show me homes and he was always quick and right there for me. He never judged what type of house I wanted to view. I looked at everything from dumps to palaces. I dragged him around to other towns and took MY time to buy a home. He never pressured me or made me feel I had to make up my mind. Even though I could have easily worked some kind of deal out to save myself paying a commission to Mike, he proved to me that I needed his 25 year plus experience. He kept me from making errors and pointed out faults in homes that were necessary for me to see...like drainage or electrical or plumbing...that could have been potential problems. I think of Mike as a friend now, not just an agent.
Description of Work: I needed a Real Estate agent to show me homes. I have an inactive RE license and I was searching for a home on my own, but I needed help getting in and then I needed help buying the home and the transaction. He guided me through the whole process and was professional and easy to understand and work along with. He's not pretentious or assuming and knows the market.
