Painting By Dustin O'brien

Dustin O'Brien and his crew painted the exterior of my 1906 home (and separate garage) this summer, and they did a fantastic job from start to finish. Beginning with helping me to select colors and planning for all the required prep work, Dustin was extremely knowledgable, responsive, thorough and dependable. His crew did careful prep work everywhere, protected plants and landscaping and were extremely professional throughout the project. They completed the work on time and on budget, and the results are fantastic. Pls note: I did not get competitive bids for this project, so I did not give his company a grade on price.

They were on time, communicative, respectful of the fact that we work at home and a pleasure to have around. ON top of that, they did an excellent job. It was money well spent.

We recently purchased a house in Petaluma and had O'Brien Painting repaint our entire house, walls and ceilings. They did this in a totally professional manner and cheerfully accommodated our schedule. They carefully masked off surfaces not to be painted and did a fantastic job. Their attention to detail is second to none. They cleaned up after the project and carefully labeled any remaining paint cans so that we knew what went where. I would like to especially commend their crew for clear communications and soliciting our input as to various details. I highly recommend them for your painting projects.

Our Craftsman Bungalow house turns 100 years old this year and it was time for a ground-up paint job. We obtained several bids and selected Dustin O'Brien because of his reputation and mostly because of a gut feel that they would perform the quality job we desired. The gut feel paid off. We are extremely pleased with the end result. Dustin is 2nd-Generation painter (father Don O'Brien was a premier painter of old homes for many years) who was on the job site working with and supervising his crew every day. Dustin and Don consulted with us to select colors. Dustin worked with us to fine tune color selection and placement throughout the project. It took us 4 tries to get the right red. He was patient and provided us with the opportunity to make choices and decisions. During the job a few areas of rot were found and pointed out. Ironically the rot was in the 20-year-old part of the house. The 100-year-old part is heart redwood and has withstood the test of time. They coordinated with our building contractor on repairs. Dustin and his crew were incredibly respectful of our home and personal space. Out plants and yard took a beating, but we are re-claiming it now and the plants will grow back. On to the next 100 years with fresh paint and a smile . . .
