I myself was a little wishy washy about what I wanted done at first (there were a few emails exchanged). But in the end, I thought we landed on an understanding of the scope of work and what was actually done was not what I exactly wanted. We initiated contact w Jakela during inspection period on our home, and at that time the scope of work only included asbestos removal. We expanded it to include removal of all ductwork and insulation and clean out the crawl space- ultimately not all the insulation was removed. I also noticed that the air ducts in one section of my home were not taped up, so I'm assuming the asbestos materials floated down into that room? They also didn't put the vent covers back on in the rooms where they removed them which was annoying for me to have to get up there and put them back on and I think they broke one of my can lights, although I didn't notice it for about a month afterwards. Otherwise though, where the ductwork was removed and insulation and everything cleaned out, the area is very clean and they did what we wanted in those areas. Again I think some of the confusion came from me, but I'm not the pro! I rated C for professionalism bc I felt like we never landed on a totally clear scope of work...however overall they did a pretty good job and I think their price was good. They were responsive to my emails which was good.

When we paid Jakela Inc they took 3 months to cash the check. They were unprofessional and the negotiation for price was awkward and difficult with them, it wasn't very upfront.
