First, Matthew showed up about 2 hours late. He did not call to update the time until about an hour after the scheduled arrival time. In addition the work on my property, the job also included trimming some branches from my tree that extended into my neighbor's yard. After finishing the work on my property he said he would not have space in his truck for the refuse from cutting the branches in my neighbor's yard, so he made an appointment with my neighbor for the following week. I made the mistake of paying him for the whole job. He did not show up for the appointment. I left several voicemails and emails for him and after about a week I received an email from him apologizing and saying he was on vacation out of the country and had confused the dates and would contact me when he returned in 3 weeks. When I didn't hear from him for a week after the specified return date, I again left several voicemails and emails. This was about 2 months ago and I have gotten no response.

First of all I hired this guy mainly due to positive Angie's List reviews Cutting went well. Very responsive BEFORE doing the work. BUT Promised to take stumps to ground but left them 3 feet high Promised to treat all stumps with tree killer and didn't Never came again. Left a small mess. Even left a small cut tree as trash. Unfortunately I paid him in full with promise that "Ill be back tomorrow to finish this off" Now- Wont return my phone calls. I would NOT recommend them

I would like to think our interaction with Strictly Trees motivated seeking a license. Who knows, but great to see they now have one. WAY TO GO! That's when the deal went south. Performing due diligence, we checked the license # taken from the estimate/contract. License was no longer valid and belonged to the previous owners of Strictly Trees according to the state license board website. Giving Matt the benefit of doubt, We called him to find out what his license was. He stated "I must have used an old estimate sheet but my license info is in the office, can I call you on Monday"? Well, Monday comes around with no call, so I called him and had to leave a message. I didn't think much of it but then he was a complete no show on the agreed upon date. I suspect that he is operating without a license or liability insurance. Do you homework before contracting with Strictly Trees. He might do great work at a fair price, but is it worth the risk if something goes wrong?

They were great. It was great. It was a complicated tree work where the trees were mixed in with the electrical wires and so I didn't want my husband handling it. They were pretty cost effective and responded right away. They cleaned up all the mess and all that so it was great.

The tree looks fantastic. It's now more like a large canopy tree than the 50' tall 'bush' it had become. It was, as requested, shaped back from overhanging the street, the house and the neighbors house. There was not a spec of debris left behind, they cleaned up ever bit of their work. The team also, at no extra charge, did a light pruning of two Chinese Elms in the yard, and they cut beck a couple branches from our redwood that were too close to the chimney.

They were extremely professional and very nice that went above and beyond service. They were on time, curious, safe, meticulous and hardworking. They did a beautiful job trimming our tree and removed old stumps that were left behind from the pervious owner. I highly recommend this company and would hire them again.

We have half a dozen beautiful, mature live oaks that needed some trimming, including branches rubbing on the power line and overhanging the house. We also had a large bay tree that was half-dead and a smaller oak in similar condition. Two things impressed about Strictly Trees. First, they were responsive. I left a message seeking an estimate and Mary called back within a couple hours and scheduled a visit for the next week. The estimator was there right on time and immediately got to work looking at our situation. He wrote up the estimate on the spot and that was that. Once we decided to go with Strictly Trees, they scheduled the work promptly and were again right on time. Second, they seemed to know what they were doing. They were the only tree company we contacted who mentioned anything about Sudden Oak Death (a real problem here in the north bay). And they weren't trying to sell additional services! In fact, they recommended that we do LESS work than we'd planned because SOD spreads in the wet months and more extensive work should be done during the dry months. So we contracted with them to deal with the immediate hazards (remove the bay and decrepit oak, trim branches away from the house & power line) and we'll deal with the other work next year. He also suggested ways we could keep the cost down on the maintenance work. The work was completed this week and again they were prompt, efficient and professional. The results look great. We will definitely be calling Strictly Trees when we need more tree work!

they were very thorough, trees look beautiful, my yard and house get much more light. Strawberry tree had been terribly pruned last year--looked like a popscicle with no middle. Now more like a tree; olive tree was like a bush, never shaped after planting, now will be a graceful tree.

Excellent work. Came on time. Very professional and knowledgable. Exactly what we needed. We would not hesitate to use this company in the future. May use them again for some tree trimming.

We got a response within a couple of days of our call. Mary came by to give us an estimate. She was friendly and knowledgeable. She understood the issues relating to the species of tree. (I believe a European White Elm) Turned out the tree is diseased, which contributed to our issues with it. Once the appointment was made the crew arrived about 3 hours late. They worked quickly and were did a thorough and complete job. They removed all of the trimmings. I would hire them again.

Strictly Trees is owned by women and they are all veterans. They showed up when they said they were going to show up, they finished when they said they were, and they did it for the price they quoted. It was pretty hassle free and in this day and age that goes a long way for me. They were prompt and responsive. I would tell family that these are the guys I used and you should call them. They were an A in my mind. Their price was right in line with another quote that I had got. Their price was very reasonable.

They arrived on time and everything was done in a professional manner. We were very happy with the job they did and we would hire them again.

They did a good job. They were very professional and they were very quiet, I liked that. You almost didn't know they were there. They climbed the trees and they were trimming, there wasn't a lot of machinery and noise.
