Prior to performing the work he represented himself as licensed and insured. He did this to both myself and Cal-trans (California State Department of Transportation). After performing the intial tree removal he came back to try and get more work. I told him to stay off my property. He ignored this and continued to harass me for work. Maybe about two months after the initial work I came by the property to find his crew had cut down a tree. This of course being after I had told him to stay away from my property and that I wasnt going to hire him. I reported him, hired an attorney and filed a report. He was charged for what he did and the contractors board indicated he was not licensed or insured since 1986. The State Attorney Generals Office, Contractors Board, Labor Department, the IRS, District Attorney's Office filed administative cases against the company. After this he started harassing and threatening me saying it was all my fault. The newspaper ran a story indicating that he had done other work for people while he was on probation, and that he had also gotten in trouble for attempted murder, grand theft and other offenses. He went to state prison and was released in about 2003. He has been harassing me for money to pay for taxes and fines since his release. It is illegal for him to make money on his unliscensed activity as per Business and Professions Code 7031. He blames me for everything that has happened to him and continues to harass me. He most recently harrassed March 6 of 2015.
