Problem was red oak tree planted. Soil not compacted adequately around base and sank over a foot in subsequent years. Tree had a defect at the base of the trunk when planted which went past the bark and cambium layers. The defect grew in size and appeared to stunt the overall growth of the tree. There were numerous attempts to get them back out to look at the problem and discuss with us. Appointments were made and not kept. The company moved out of our area and we have given up trying to contact them and have replaced the tree
Description of Work: Work to be performed was: removal of tree stump and planter area, planting of new tree (red oak), landscaping front and rear yards. Brick and cement work of rear yard area was done quickly and looked fine.

Everything was a battle. David sold us a great plan, promised to be on the job and to focus until it was completed,. He ripped everything out in record time. He moved fences, built trellises, cut down trees, removed shrubs, and killed the grass in record time. He installed new sprinklers which he never checked out and which did not cover the entire yard as they did before he arrived. He did not till, amend and fill with top soil the planters and yard as contracted. He skpped as much as he could and still demanded to be paid.
Description of Work: Zimmerman Tree Service was hired to landscape our back yard. That included removing trees, building planters, firepit, landings, stepping stones, lighting, sod, shrubs, etc. The main planter just outside the back door which housed a beautiful tabebula tree was built 11 feet wide instead of 7 feet wide as per the plan. It was a blood bath getting it fixed and then David wanted us to pay to have it corrected. The stone on top of the firepit and planter were sloppy the first time they were installed because David did not tell his crew what was supposed to be done. Great stone work and foreman (Francisco). David is pushy, loud, never on time, does not call if he is late or just not showing up for an appointment. Most important he does not honor his warranty. He has moved to central California, but pretends to still be in Bellfower, CA. He does not supervise the job just sells it and collects the money. He did not prepare the ground properly by leveling, ammending so the sod did not stand a chance of growing or being what we paid for. He even forgot to turn on the sprinklers during he first week the sod was in, we were on vacation. He had his crew walking on it every day for weeks after it was installed.

I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH THEM. THEY WERE VERY GOOD. THEY TRIMMED THE TREES THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO TRIM. THEY CLEANED UP ALL THE MESS AND HAULED IT ALL AWAY.
Description of Work: THEY TRIMMED A LOT OF MY TREES. MY BOGENVIA AND SOME LARGE THINGS.
