Description of Work: Roll Up garage door had jammed so would not go up or down. I disconnected the spring cable and propped the door open. used Angies list to find a repair service. Hamon Door had a good rating so called and talked to the owner. After he determined that there was no security risk in having an open door (I live on a Ranch) he sent a repairman the next morning. Milt came on time and went right to work. Had the door fixed in less than an hour. He found that the door had a crack that let it flex too much and the rollers could slip out of the race. He installed a support rail to stabilize the door and everything works just fine.

Description of Work: In April, one of Hamon's full-time employee's gave my overhead garage door its spring cleaning. Plus, he corrected a number of permanent problems it had. The most significant task that Hamon has done occurred ten years ago, when John Hamon visited and recommended how to replace the overhead door that was with the house when I bought it in 1998. That door was not positioned correctly and in the course of rebuilding the garage ceiling, John recommended how to rebuild that ceiling so that a new garage door would work properly. Hamon Overhead Door is a family-owned business. I've always had superb service from family members and their employees.

+ -1 moreI called Hamon the morning after 1 of the main springs broke on our garage door when we returned from dinner. The representative took my information, gave me a firm estimate and was able to schedule a repairman for that afternoon. Shortly after we ended the call, the representative called me back because he found that he would be able to get a repairman to my home in the morning. The repairman arrived exactly when promised. He was courteous and able to repair the door in less than an hour and also lubricated and tuned the door and adjusted the garage door opener. All packing and trash from the repair was removed and everything went very smoothly. I would not hesitate to use or recommend Hamon in the future.
Description of Work: One of the main springs on our 2 car garage door broke when we tried to open the door after returning home from having dinner at a local restaurant. The automatic opener would trip on high torque trying to open or close the door from the midway position. I was able to get the door open manually, with great difficulty, to get our 2nd vehicle out and then was able to close the door. With a broken spring the door was inoperable.

+ -1 moreThey had a special on garage door repair for $65. He provided the parts, reset the garage door opener, and went through six cans of lubricant. He was here for two hours and only charged $65. because that is what the special was. I gave him an extra $25. He was kind and just a very wonderful person. I was very impressed with his services. The overall experience was excellent. The company and Paul were excellent. Obviously, they have to compete in this economy. They understand that this is a senior community and people are on fixed incomes, so they even give senior discounts. They are very sensitive to that.

+ -1 moreI called Hammon about the garage door acting funny in November. I was given some ways that I might fix the problem myself. Eventually it got so bad, I needed them to come out. Turned out the motor was bad. Replacement happened in one hour.
Description of Work: The door lift mechanism was not working. The service was swift and satisfying. Problam fixed. No problems since.
