We called Juan to confirm the appointment. He said he would call before arrival to make sure someone would be home. We kept on waiting. We called again and he said he had to change the appointment until tomorrow, 12-4. Every day has a tomorrow. He kept postponing the appointment and we kept waiting. Finally, I told him that he is not going to get a good review from me. He called back and left a message that he would come this afternoon (12-3) instead of 12-4. By that time, we were not going to believe him any more and found someone else.

The service was to remove three panels of mirror from a wall that is 13 ft wide by 7.5 feet tall in preparation for another team that was coming in to remove acoustic and wallpaper, repair walls, and paint. Did not have time to get different quotes so cannot attest to whether the cost was reasonable. |Juan sent a team out the day after I called. They were punctual, professional and cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely use them again.

Where do I start? The owner of the business Juan came out and looked the job over and took measurements for frameless shower doors for a jacuzzi bathtub and a bathroom vanity mirror. Juan is a very nice guy and was the third provider I called off of Angie's List. I got the feel from Juan that he ran a family business that he was proud of. Juan called me two hours later with the estimate for the job that came back 25% less than the other two providers I called. One nice touch I liked is after telling him we selected him to complete the job, he thanked me for the business. Very few people do that nowadays and it made me feel good knowing that I was supporting family business. He called me a few days later to let me know that the mirror and shower glass arrived and was ready to be installed. We set a Saturday date and time to do the install. Ivan and his cousin Ricardo arrived to do the installation. They arrived at 1030am and finished the install for the shower doors and mirror at about 330pm in the afternoon. They worked diligently and I don't think they even took a break. The workmanship for the installation was impeccable. The quality of the frameless shower doors are probably the best feature of our bathroom remodel next to the travertine tile. I was able to get 3/8 inch thickness glass doors for the price of 1/4 inch doors found at other providers. Juan was able to get us brushed nickel accents for the shower doors and for the mirror. My wife and I were so happy with the work at a great price. Ivan and Ricardo were very professional with communicating with me on the progress of the job and I could tell they took pride in the service they provided. I would highly recommend Sunset Glass for all of your glass and mirror needs. Their prices are very competitive and their service was excellent! You will not be disappointed with selecting them for your shower or mirror needs. If only every service you contracted for was as professional as they are. Great job Sunset Glass!!

Came by the day after I called. Repair person was friendly. Repair was done in a little bit over one hour. Great quality work, very reasonable price. I would use them again if I have any more broken window.

Getting our shower door was the final step in a long and frustrating bathroom remodel with a contractor that was terrible. For some reason, we were told that ordering the glass shower was our responsibility so I went on Angie's List and found Sunset Glass. They came out the same day, a Friday, measured the opening, gave me a catalogue to choose the style I wanted, gave me a reasonable quote and were back to install a perfect beautiful glass shower door the next business day - Monday. It was the smoothest and simplest part of the whole remodel process and truly a breath of fresh air. Juan was a pleasure to deal with and I would not use anyone else in the future.

I like them because it is close and they don't over charge. It does take a while to get the order back because they don't have a business address.

Very prompt response. High quality work. Mirror used to replace the broken one was of higher quality and weight. Price very reasonable.

Came by day after I called them to measure the table. Returned 4 days later with new glass table top, unfortunately it did not fit correctly. They had to make a cardboard pattern for the exact fit. They left the non-fitting glass on the table so it could be used while they made a new one. This took an additional week. The final product fit the table nicely. The workers were courteous and professional.

I called on Juan on Saturday and he came within a 1/2 hour to give me a quote - so impressed. He was very personable, professional and told me he would have to get back to me after he got a price on the glass. Juan called first thing Monday with the quote and said he could install the next day but had to do one more measurement. He came out within an hour and took the measurement and we scheduled the installation for Wednesday. He was very accommodating on the time and date. His son, Ivan and Manuel installed the glass and did a great job. They too were totally professional, personable and capable - making sure everything was cleaned up. The entire job took 4 hours.

Juan, the owner, is very polite and professional. His workers are on-time and does a good job. Didn't mind coming out a 2nd time to correct minor issues.

We had a temperature gauge suction-cupped to the sliding glass door at my mother's house. It popped off and fell between the window and the sliding glass door jamming the opening so that we couldn't close the door. The door is a very large (6'x6'), very heavy, 1950's era steel framed, glass door and we struggled for more than an hour trying to snag the thermometer or lift the door off the track to reach it. No luck. I called Sunset Glass at 7:30 am and explained the situation. Juan said they could be there between 11:00 and noon to fix it. Juan and Manuel showed up before noon, had the right tools for the job - two huge suction cups for carrying glass, and a hooked wire for retrieving the temp gauge. It took them about 3-5 minutes to lift the door, hook the thermometer and fix the situation. They were courteous, efficient, and even apologized for having to charge us since it was so quick. But we were more than happy to pay the $50.00 service charge. We were happy, and would hire them again.

I made the appointment a week in advance to fit my schedule. They showed up on time and completed the work in about an hour. The broken pane was diamond shaped so it was it was not a standard job. They did a great job and took away the broken glass.

It was wonderful! Punctual, great price. He didn't mind the dogs interrupting him wanting to be petted. I will be using them again!

We own an alarm company and unfortunately one of our installers cracked a very difficult to close casement window when the job was finished. We called a window repair company one of our employees had personally used in the past to come fix the window. Unfortunately this company did a horrible job. They broke the glass inward scuffing our client's wood floor and sending little shards of glass inside their home. This subpar company ended up replacing the glass but did a horrible job and didn't even glaze it correctly. We felt so bad for initially breaking their window then to add salt to the wound the company we hired to fix it did even more damage. As you can imagine we had to find a great company to fix it once and for all in order to take care of our client. I immediately jumped on Angie's List and found Juan's company Sunset Glass Co. After reading the reviews and hearing how happy people are with Juan's work I decided to give him a call. Juan was excellent from the very beginning. He was courteous, polite and professional on the phone and understood the predicament we were in. He made himself available based upon our client's schedule. Juan showed up on time and did an excellent job fixing the horrible work the other company did. I called my client when Juan was finished and they were VERY pleased. I can't thank Juan enough for doing such a great job! We will definitely be using Sunset Glass Co. in the future should we need them...hopefully we won't be breaking anymore windows but if we do I know that we have a great company to use to fix them . I will also be using Juan?s services in my own home if we should need them some day.

Estimate appointment was timely. Work time was a bit later than initially scheduled, with phone notification of delay. Work was done very professionally, with careful attention to detail and excellent cleanup.

Came by same day I called and gave me a quote. Came back one day later and installed the window and gave me the repaired screen. Good job and great service.

It was a great experience. They came and looked at the type of glass I wanted and suggested a less expensive glass that did the same thing. So I was even able to save some money.

I called Sunset Glass to come out and take a look at my kitchen door window to see if they could help. The man who showed up worked with the window for several minutes and was able to get it to move again, much to my delight. I asked him what I owed him, and he said "Whatever you think its worth". So I paid him directly. About an hour later I received a phone call from the owner of the company saying there was a misunderstanding, and that their minimum service charge was $75. He sent the same man out who I had initially paid to exchange my old check for a $75 check. I was surprised after the fact to hear about the minimum charge. We had not discussed that previously since the original visit was scheduled not to be repair work, but an estimate if they would be able to do the job. I guess the moral of the story is to ask any company about minimum charges for repair work even if the visit is intended to be for an estimate. Overall, I was very pleased that they were able to quickly and easily get the job done.

They promptly responded to an emergency call to repair a broken window in the front of my house. The gentlemen was professional and took the time to clean-up shattered glass both indoors and outdoors. Rates were reasonable and the quality of work was superior. I highly recommend this company!

The owner Juan impressed me with his prompt responses to my emails, his ability to give an accurate estimate based on a drawing with measurements, and his availability to come out in person the same day. He was courteous and informational while helping me decide on the options I had for the install. The glass was scheduled to be ready in a couple of days and two workers were sent for the installation. I was informed they would be a couple of hours late due to picking up materials from the warehouse/factory, which was ok. The guys told me upon arrival it would take them about 3 hours. I checked on them periodically throughout the afternoon and was complained to each time by Gustavo that my tile was "strong", he would have to replace his drill bits, and that it was going to take longer. At 5pm I was told it would be another 2 hrs. Finally 6hrs after they began at about 8:30pm (Juan told me they could send the workers out again the next day if the lateness was an inconvenience but I just wanted it to be done), they were cleaning up to leave. My husband and I went to inspect the work and found sloppy silicone seals and a gap in the doorway, as well as general uncleanliness around the shower tiles, the newly painted bathroom walls, and the workspace they set up in the backyard. I pointed these out to Gustavo while he was packing up to go. He acted as if his work was impeccable and started giving me an attitude. In trying to correct the gap in the door, he actually snapped the bottom plastic piece. Impatiently, he said he would come back the next day to bring another strip and clean. He then asked for the balance of the job. I was flabbergasted and told him there was no way I would pay him until the job was complete. He actually told me in that case he would have to take the glass with him. I said it was fine with me since I couldn't use it with his subpar workmanship anyway. We decided to call Juan to see what he says. While I getting my phone from the other room, I heard Gustavo say to my husband that he does plenty of installations and that he doesn't care about this one because it's not his house. Then he kept interrupting and yelling when I called Juan, not letting me talk. I stepped away to explain the situation to Juan while Gustavo told my husband he needs to divorce me. I was handing my phone to him when he called me "crazy" and left. I was so upset that night I cried. I was doubting the job would ever get done at all, but I knew Gustavo will never step foot on my property again with his unprofessionalism and insults to me. Thankfully, Juan paid me a visit the next morning and assured me that all will be rectified. That afternoon he sent another worker who attempted to clean the silicone but was unsuccessful. It actually looked worse and was completely unacceptable. I emailed my concerns to Juan and he sent me yet another person the third day. Manuel again attempted to clean the silicone, but after a couple of hours he declared he was not happy with the way it looked and would like to reinstall the glass instead. So finally, today the 4th day, Manuel took down all the glass and completely remeasured and re-screwed in all of the u channels to actually sit at straight angles. The original screw holes were caulked with a matching color to our new tile. Ultimately, we eventually got a professional who takes pride in his work, and while the job doesn't look 100% perfect, I am almost sure it would have been if Manuel was the first installer. We are extremely disappointed that Gustavo was ever sent to us in the first place, there is irreparable damage to our tile work, and the job took 3 extra days of waiting for/supervising workers to complete, but Juan did take responsibility for the corrections and I am confident he will come back if ever we encountered any further problems with our shower. UPDATE: After reluctantly paying in full, I have contacted Juan in regards to a misaligned shower door, remaining silicone remnants, and a small scratch in the glass. There have been a few more visits from Juan and Manuel, resulting in the decision to install "adjustable" hinges to correct the misalignment. That turned out not to be the solution, as the hinges turned out to be not as adjustable as necessary. So, we are back to square one and deciding whether we want an ugly stabilizer bar attached from our shower glass to the ceiling or wall. It will be an eyesore, and I'm considering not to continue doing anything. This relatively easy project has been botched badly and taken almost a month, causing me to regret hiring Sunset Glass to begin with. To top it all off, even after repeated promises that workers will clean up after themselves, I've still had to wipe and vacuum after every single one of their visits. At this point I feel the only recourse left is to get a refund for the horrible job done as well as my time spent.

Our dining table is now extended to it's full size so we needed a new piece of glass to protect the extra leaves. Sunset glass took the table measurements over the phone making sure to ask for details like what thickness I'd like the glass to be and what sort of bevel the edges should have. I called at 4pm on a friday and they said they could have it delivered to my house by noon the next day. They were prompt and courteous, taking away the old glass and laying down the new glass quickly and quietly while piano lessons were happening in the other room. I would definitely use Sunset Glass again.

Called Juan at 3:30pm to have someone come replace a small, approx. 8 x 12 glass panel on the front door. He took down information and then called me back in 5 minutes to confirm that someone would be out by 5pm. Repair-man showed up at 4:40pm and was done at 5! Quick, efficient and did a great job cleaning up all the glass fragments. I didn't compare pricing but for how fast the job was done I'm thrilled. Quoted $75 for the job but I used a 10% coupon for Angie's List members. Thanks! ^.^
