This was by far the worst moving experience I have ever had. I had major problems at the following points of service, Arrival of work crew, Even after having confirmed furniture disassembly service with the local branch several times, the crew showed up over an hour late with no tools. After surveying my apartment, the leader of the move crew sighed, cursed and complained about the size of the move. Moving process, the crew worked rather slowly, broke a major piece of furniture, complained incessantly about the heat and the size of the move and ordered us to go get tools for disassembly. Missing items, the crew left behind over 25 boxes in a detached garage without notifying me and claimed to have moved them onto the moving truck. I didnt notice the missing items until after the crew left and was forced to move those boxes on my own. Tip harassment, As the crew finished, I tipped each crew member $10 even though I was tempted not to tip at all given the horrible service I received. The leader of the crew cursed again and asked the other workers, "Can you believe this?" Afterward, he turned to me and my sister and said, in Spanish, "Goodbye, little girls," and left. Follow-up, the manager at the local branch called me to see how the move went and after hearing my complaints, offered to move the boxes that the crew had missed right away. As it was already after 10 p.m., I declined. When I told him I had to be out of my apartment by the close of business the following day, he said he couldnt come the next day. I moved the boxes myself. I have moved 4 times in the past two years and several times in my life. This was my worst move ever. I would never recommend Starving Students.
Description of Work: I hired Starving Students to move a 3 bedroom apartment to a 3 bedroom house. The company usually assigns two movers at $80/hr or 3 movers at an extra $24.99 per hour. I ordered 3 movers. The movers wrapped some items but mostly moved boxes, large furniture, and a washer and dryer to the house.

They charged what they say they would on the estimate and the work was done very fast. They were done with it in about half a day. There were a couple of nicks and scratches on some of my stuff, but nothing to get upset about.
Description of Work: They moved us 20 miles away from West Hollywood to Woodland Hills. They moved us from a large one bedroom apartment into a small two bedroom house.

THE PEOPLE THEY SENT OUT JUST DIDN'T DO THEIR WORK. THEY WEREN'T VERY CONSCIENTIOUS. I HAVE TALKED TO OTHER PEOPLE, AND THEY DIDN'T LIKE THEM EITHER. THEY WERE TAKING BREAKS EVERY FIVE MINUTES. THEY WERE TRYING TO STRETCH OUT THE TIME.
Description of Work: THEY JUST MOVED ALL OUR FURNITURE.
