Classic Furniture

Jack and his team at Classic Furniture are awesome! We originally hired Jack to sand and refinish just the base of our kitchen table as the legs had been scuffed over the years. My husband then decided (as a surprise to me) that he would have Jack sand the entire table and refinish it with a color which matched the furniture in our new home. Now this meant that it took longer but it was worth every second of waiting for the finished table to be delivered to us. Jack matched the color very well with a sample my husband provided to him. We are 100% pleased with Classic Furniture!

The work was done beautifully and it was completed ahead of the agreed-upon time. My pew was carefully picked up and delivered, and the repair is barely noticeable. It wasn't cheap, but a priceless piece of my family's history is now fully functional and beautiful.

excellent work, including extensive repair to one of the tables before refinishing. tables were at least 100 years old & needed careful detailed work to bring back to original state. jack was communicative and created specific stains to bring each piece back to their original appearance.

Excellent service: Jack came out to look at the table, discuss what could be done, and make an estimate. As it was raining, he made another appointment to pick the table up. Once he'd prepped the table, he called, asking that I come in to look at it and decide on the finishes. Once complete, he called to make a delivery appointment. and just delivered a fully restored and beautiful table that has been in my family for generations. I could not be more pleased: the follow-up and timeliness of all the appointments, the care and attention given to the restoration project. The work is not inexpensive, but if you have furniture of value or that you particularly value, Classic Furniture is one of the very best.

Went very well. Jack was prompt on coming to my house to give the estimate. Service was faster than I expected. The refinishing on both pieces looks great. Delivery crew was very careful about not messing up my newly refinished hardwood floors. The people I talked with were very accommodating and knowledgeable. Would not hesitate to use Classic Furniture again.

It went very smoothly. Jack came by with samples for me to look at picked up the chairs and I contacted him with my choice of fabric. The whole process took 3 weeks and my family and I were very pleased with the finished product! :) We will definitely be calling Jack again to reupholster our sofa too!

Everything went very well. From the time I contacted Jack until he delivered the completed chairs, he was very professional. Always responsive to my questions and concerns and also added some suggestions. I would definitely use him again.

This is an old world European run family business. They did a nice job and I would not hesitate to take additional items there if I had any.

Fast, efficient, GREAT PERSONAL SERVICE, very friendly and honest, fixed all damage and made everything look spectacular, very reasonably priced for the work that was done. I was extremely impressed. They did a fantastic job with the furniture repair. I appreciated them calling with any updates and I really was satisfied with the low price. They are an honest company that I would highly recommend.

Great work, repair is better than original design to sofa

Jack, the owner, was very helpful and responsive. I contacted him by phone after finding his "A" rating on Angie's List. I then emailed pictures of my table, and he gave me a bid to restore it. The whole process took about one month and the results are beautiful!

I found Classic Furniture Refinishing on Yelp. I had received about five estimates on this armoire. Jack's was the lowest. He took my dated light, wood armoire, and stained it an espresso brown. He also fixed all of the structural problems that bugged me, without being asked. He took a piece I hated, and made it chic and modern. Now, I love it! He got it done a week early (I needed it sooner than I thought), and came in on budget. Way to go, Jack!

It was very good. The price was reasonable.

They did a great job. the chair is restored to mint condition. The only drawback for me is that the store does not have any weekend hours. This made it difficult to coordinate a time to pick up the chair since my husband and I work full time. However, Karen was patient and offered to deliver the chair to our home for an additional fee.

When we found the 6 'antique' dining room chairs that seemed perfect for our house, we were delighted. We were less delighted when we got them home and realized that they were somewhat rickety - well, quite rickety - and not as comfortable as one might hope for. The workmen at Classic Furniture turned these tired old chairs into really handsome seating for our dining room. They tightened and reglued all of the joints, waxed and polished the wood, and reupholstered the seats so that they are now quite comfortable. I had a large array of upholstery swatches to choose from, even though I did pick the first one I saw (that has never happened before, as my husband will attest!). They promptly picked up and delivered the chairs at no additional cost. One side note: even before we contracted the work for the chairs, Jack, the owner made a trip to our house to look at a table with a parquet top that had considerable water damage to see if it could be repaired. He said that the repairs would not be perfect and they would cost as much as buying a new table. I appreciated his honesty.

So far it's gone great! The owner, Jack (Hagop) estimated the job in person. The men who came to pick up the furniture are also skilled craftsmen who strip and refinish furniture. That instilled confidence.

Jack, the owner was really great. I brought in five chairs that all had holes in the seat and needed recaneing. I paid $50/chair which was $25 less per chair than the upholstery shop on the next block over. Jack was professional, efficient, and best of all did a terrific job. I definitely recommend him!

The shop on Washington was a little hard to find, but once inside, it is plain they do a lot of work there. Lots of great furniture in various stages of refinishing, recovering with upholstery, etc. Jack assessed our piano bench situation correctly, seeing one main problem of a malformed metal piece; saw the rest of the problems, which were straightforward, and gave a quick estimate: $20. He said it would be done within three or four business days and it was.
