Description of Work: Chimney inspection for recently purchased house, cleaning, installed rain cap. They were cheaper for a full inspection with camera, cleaning, and installing rain cap then a dedicated inspection only company. Chimney needs to be re-glazed, showed me in the attic where the insulation around the chimney had been turned black due to smoke leaking out which meant carbon monoxide was leaking into the attic. Structurally chimney was good. Chimney needs to be heightened due to addition of second story which can cause a back draft.

Description of Work: received an estimate to repair our chimney. Ultimately decided not to spend the money, but they were professional and efficient when determining what we would need to have done to make our chimney safe to use.

Description of Work: What a waste of money. Nathaniel from Chimney Experts arrived to conduct an inspection of our chimney for a house we just purchased. He spent 5 minutes inspecting our chimney at about 20 minutes writing up the estimate of repairs. Apparently, the company uses a boilerplate checklist of items that need replacing. Since I do not know anything about chimney's I asked Nathaniel for an explanation of the repairs that needed to be done. He was extremely sarcastic and asked me to look at the checklist. He seemed bothered by my questions. It seemed he wanted to just drop off the checklist and leave. I am not sure how this company has positive reviews. Maybe there were different sales people involved. I would never recommend this company. What a waste of the $89 dollar inspection fee.

Description of Work: Larry came out to provide an estimate for a chimney repair and was very prompt and kept me abreast as to the exact time he'd arrive. He was very knowledgeable and while we haven't made the decision to proceed, I would feel comfortable hiring Larry.

Description of Work: Larry provided an thorough inspection and provided excellent solutions to multiple problems on the three chimneys here in my home.
