Castle Plumbing

I would definitely call him, Kelly from Castle Plumbing, for any other plumbing work at my house. He gave us a 10 year warranty, while the other company only gave us a one year warranty for metal tubing. He was more professional then other company, Called Southwest Plumbing. Kelly did a 110 percent better job and did not try to sell us elbows, special tubes, shut off switches like the other plumbing company.

Quick estimate Came and did the work on that very week. ask for 20% down on the job, so that day so they can get the materials. Labor is done with 2 people. on Sat, they came and finished all the sprinkler work. Basically everything was done except Sod Replacement, because Home Depot happen to run out of Sod. Monday everything was done. they were professional and friendly.

I first checked Castle Plumbing's license and insurance at the california state licensing board before hiring them. On the phone, the owner, Kelly was courteous and professional. Kelly came within the time frame that we agreed on. I expected him to get the job done quickly but he took his time to do a good job. After he completed the job, I asked about another plumbing issue at my house and he provided useful advice. I relied on the reviews on Angie's list and did not take several quotes. His price seemed fair but it may not be the lowest. I eventually called him about that other plumbing issue and I was again, very satisfied with his work.

I had a positive experience with the company. They arrived on time and quickly got to work to determine the problem. He took his time to check the area for where the leak was coming from and then ran test to see if the water was dripping into the side of the tub. He made sure to clean the area after the inspection. He also resealed the faucet. He determined that the tub needed to be resealed and that would stop any further damage to the floor. He then gave me someone to call that would come out and reseal the tub. He did not charge me anything for the inspection.

Kelly came out to have a look at the issue on a Friday, he had to order a part for the kitchen faucet and came back the foloowing Wednesday to do the work. We had 13 shut off valves replaced as well as the main shut off valve to the house and the kitchen faucet repaired. The work took from 9am-3pm.

After receiving a $200 water bill caused by a leaking "jet" toilet (one that had already been replaced twice; apparently these can't be repaired, just replaced), I called Castle Plumbing. Kelly looked at it and suggested a much less expensive but still top of the line low flow toilet. Since he was there, I had him look at a shower that had no water pressure. He found the problem and said the valve inside the handles needed to be replaced and said if I got a new shower head, he would install it at no charge. He was great! Replaced the toilet (with a model I love!), fixed the shower and unplugged the shower drain as it hadn't been used in awhile. He always kept me up to date on what was happening and even cleaned out the bathtub where the water had backed up! His rates are very reasonable and he really knows his stuff!. I HIGHLY recommend him.

Kelly is very responsive and professional. He calls back quickly (much quicker than I expected), and it's nice to talk to someone who does the work and knows the trade. I really like places that can give me a ballpark estimate over the phone for simple jobs, just so I can gauge what I'm dealing with. Kelly asked good questions and gave me an estimate over the phone. I did not have him do the work because the price was almost double that of the other 3 places I called. It was a small job, so it was still in the hundreds though. I'm not sure if the price would have changed when he saw it in person. However, I ended up with 5 quotes and Castle was about the same as the 5th one (which did an on-site estimate). I respect & appreciate that he could tell me his real price up-front and not do the "bait-and-switch" where a low price turns out to be significantly larger after the work is done. However, if I find out the low prices I'm considering using turn out to be shoddy work, I'll wish I had paid for quality and might use Castle Plumbing after that. I'll post another review then.

I had him do the roto rooting job on the kitchen sink, and it works fine, though $145 seems high. The problem I have with them is that he quoted us at least $325 each to install faucets in our new bathroom countertops, saying that that was higher than normal because there was a problem with the pipes under the sink that would make the connection harder than usual.This sounded fishy and very expensive, so I had another plumber come in to check it out. He quoted me $195 and got it done quickly and easily, having found no connection problems at all. Whether this was simple incompetence on Castle Plumbing's part, or, as I suspect, shady business practices, I can't recommend them to anyone again.

He was pleasant and had a good attitude.

Okay. i don't know plumbing, but these guys were good. I later had workers, including general contractors, come in to give me estimates to repair the drywall and stucco, and ALL of them commented on the good/neat work done by the plumbers. Kelly kept me abreast of the progress of the project (which took ~4 full days) so I always felt comfortable. He made suggestions, helped me locate fixtures, etc. I also had to be out of the house on the 4th day, so Kelly accommodated my schedule and came back a few days afterward to finish up the details even though I knew he was juggling several other jobs. When the drywall guy came, he said Kelly had cut the drywall in a way that made patching super easy, too. Of course, there are always minor hitches in this scope of a job, but Kelly was very upfront with small tweaks that had to be made. I really appreciate that he didn't have to hide anything and took care of everything like it was his own.

I really liked him. He was great. I worked with the owner Kelly Castillo and he was easy to work with. He's a nice guy and it's easy to talk to him. He did his job pretty well. He did some extras for me which wasn't part of the job but he did it for me anyway. I actually checked with other companies for price and his price was the middle one. He was there when he had to although it was a contract job. I didn't have to call him to get him over here. He was just there and he was always there when he said he will be. He was great and professional. He's been doing this for a while. I found him on Angie's List.

I suspected that I had a slab-leak and contacted Castle Plumbing based upon previous Angie's List reviews. Kelly promptly returned my call. Kelly was courteous and informative - a leak-detection appointment resulted. Kelly arrived on-time for our scheduled appointment. After determining the location of the leak and taking necessary measurements Kelly provided me with two repair options - re-pipe from water heater to kitchen through garage and repair beneath dining room section of slab; I requested an estimate for each (which were e-mailed to me later that day). I was so impressed with Kelly's thoroughness that I asked him to provide a bid for a replacement water heater as well. While a water heater delivery glitch delayed Kelly's arrival to my home by several hours on the scheduled date of repair, he was prompt in advising me of the delay. The re-pipe option and replacement of my water heater were completed over a consecutive two day period. I am very pleased with the overall repair result as well as with Kelly as a tradesperson; he's personable, pleasant to deal with and was respectful of my property (wiping his feet each time he entered the house; frequently cleaning his work space, etc.). Would I contact Castle Plumbing for future plumbing needs? Absolutely.

The work took several weeks to finish but Kelly did a great job. He called if he was running late and always returned my phone calls. He arrived on time, was professional, answered all my questions and I would highly recommend him to anyone!

Kelly was punctual from the first visit to review the problem of water leakage around the water heater to the next day installation of the new one. When we decided a new unit was in order, he asked questions about how much water we use and thoroughly discussed options for replacing the old unit. Kelly worked efficiently and neatly, cleaning the area around the new heater before he left. He gave us instructions on maximizing the life of the heater and applied the Angie's List 10% discount on the invoice! We will definitely call Kelly again for future plumbing needs.

It went well from my phone call to Castle Plumbing Monday when I set the appmt. for today (Wednesday). Kelley from the company was here on the time that we agreed on.

I didn’t look for anybody else. When I saw the reviews about him I picked him and he came to my house. I got him scheduled to do other stuff for me now. He is good.

The drain pipe was clogged, causing water to overflow if the clothes load was extra large. Because the water was coming out from under the washing machine, I wasn't sure if the problem was the machine or not. The first service man (not Castle Plumbing) determined that the problem was a clogged trap in the drain pipe but he was only able to create a temporary fix by using a small snake (the larger one couldn't clear the pipe). He tried to open the clean out plug but it was corroded shut and would not budge. He also tried to take off the plastic pipe that connects the washing machine hose to the drain but that wouldn't come off either. The suggested solutions were hydro-jetting which I refuse to do on 40 year old pipes and a scarier and more costly repair that would have involved some cement drilling and definitely drywall demo and repair. The temporary fix bought me some time so I called Castle Plumbing. I had used Castle a few months earlier and was impressed by how practical and professional he was. Should have just called him first again! Kelly was on time, quickly assessed the situation, and got right to work on his better solution. He removed (cut) the offending section of pipe, ran the snake to make sure the rest of the washing machine drain pipe was cleared out to the main drain, then installed/connected new section. He ran two fill and drain cycles of the washing machine to test the seal on the new pipe connection. And he cleaned up the work area when he was finished. I am a happy customer.

He showed up on time to look over the job and give the estimate. He was very thorough and honest in his assessment. It was a very professional estimate. He stayed in contact with me keeping me informed of expected delivery dates of the parts and was flexible as to working with me on a date and time to do the work. Kept following up regularly to keep me posted. My bathroom has gold fixtures and it was hard to find something to match my sink so I pretty much had given up on gold and decided to go with chrome. I was off sick one day and found a set on the internet that was gold and left a message for Kelly telling him i found something and ordered it. He called me back and told me it wasnt a reliable brand and told me he had been looking out for something that might make a good combination with my sink...i went to the site he told me about and it was perfect. I am very happy with the fixtures and have decided to replace my sink fixturs and asked him to find one for my sink in the same model!!! He really went out of his way to get me something that would work with my existing sink fixtures even though they were getting old because he knew how much i still liked the gold tone. I was impressed with the time he took to try to satisfy me. My tankless water heater is working great now...no sudden shut downs and no scary noises everytime it starts up. He is very knowledgeble in regards to tankless water heaters. He is personable, really knows his trade and professional. Willing to really go the extra mile to do a good job and make you happy. He keeps you informed of the progress of order statuses and is very flexible as to scheduling work. He is definitely my go to plumber when I need one. He is looking for a sink faucet set to install for me and a laundry room sink to install in my remodeled laundry room. I highly recommend him for any type of plumbing work.

The service provider answered my questions and taught me quite a bit as well. Great experience.

It was wonderful. Professional, punctual, knowledgeable, affordable, and didn't try to sell me other services, like those other more advertised "rooter" services do. Kelly at Castle is the only one I'll call for future plumbing issues.

They did a very good and professional job. They were essentially on time and on budget. They cleaned up after themselves. They were right on time.

I noticed that the floor in the bathroom was warm and called Kelly at Castle Plumbing. He determined that there was a leak under the slab. Kelly recommended capping the old line and installing a new one that ran from the hot water heater in the garage, along the back wall of the laundry room, up the wall and into the ceiling of the bathroom, and down the wall of the family room. It was quite a project. Kelly did an excellent job and was very neat and meticulous in tending to all the details of the job. The amount he charged was more than fair considering how involved it was and how long it took to complete. I would recommend Kelly at Castle Plumbing for his level of honesty, professionalism, and expertise.

I've already contacted Kelly Castillo a couple of months ago when my first level bedroom was flooded by water coming from the bathroom upstairs. I was skeptical at first due to bad experiences with plumbers in the past but my first impression with Kelly was outhright honesty and integrity. When me and Kelly found out the cause of the leak (which was an unfortunate accident) that does not need any repair at all, Kelly did not charge me anything eventhough making 2(two) trips to my house. After all, there are really honest plumbers out there. This time, I had a real toilet problem rendering it inoperable for about a couple of days. Right away, I contacted Kelly(Castle Plumbing) and it was a straight up deal. Kelly found the problem and gave me a reasonable quote and timeframe(2 days) to fix the problem. Total honesty and integrity are what you can expect from Castle Plumbing.

I already knew the type of work that needed to be repaired, but did not feel comfortable enough to do it myself. I called Kelly from Castle Plumbing and explained what I beleived needed to be done, so we set up an appointment time and he provided me with a quote, I also received a discount as advertise. Kelly showed up as arranged and had it replaced in no time, he was also courteous and very clean with his work. I would use Castle plumbing again.

I could not be happier with the service I received from Kelly. I would recommend them (and already have!) to anyone. And if he'll travel outside his normal service area I would happily use him for my own hime in glendale, ca.
