I am rating them a "D" versus an "F" in a couple categories only because we took the home's prior owner's word that Carrillo did the work on the sprinkler system. When a section of our sprinklers stopped working, I called Carrillo's to come service the system and trim back a tree. First, they were TWO HOURS late-when he finally arrived, no apology-no explanation-in fact, when I called the office twice to check up on the status of our service, the person answering the phone indicated that he didn't think anyone was even going to show up, because Carlos (the owner) was planning to go out of town for the weekend. Of course, no one had advised me of this, and I believe that it was only because of my obvious anger that Carlos deigned to show up with one of his crew. During our service, after about 5-10 minutes of work, the sprinklers were working again-when I received the bill, I was charged about $100 for that 5 minutes of work-I called at least three times to try to get an explanation of what the work entailed that justified the $100 for five minutes-I stressed in my messages that it was entirely possible the charges were justified, but I wanted an explanation before I paid. Additionally, they had left a tree trimming tool at my home-I even took it over to the business-I went out of my way to return their tool, I waited patiently to receive a call back for my billing inquiry but after three messages, they didn't even have the courtesy to return my call. So, we deducted the amount from our bill and paid the rest-we noted on the bill that we would gladly pay the disputed portion of the bill, if they would only explain what we were charged for. I never heard anything from them-ever. Since that time, we have had to have the sprinkler system serviced several times-mainly because there were so many issues with the sprinkler set-up and installation-the work was done poorly, with improper materials (the underground tubing is disintegrating because the incorrect materials were used)-the sprinklers aren't spaced evenly, so the lawn does not get watered properly-the list goes on and on. Again, the only reason why I have not given them an "F" rating across the board, is that I am trying to give them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps they did not do all the work on the system-however, it is their card that is on the sprinkler system controls and when Carlos came out, he indicated he did the work. Not only is their work of very poor quality (don't be fooled by Carlos' "BS in Agriculture" credentials- it means nothing when it comes to the quality of his work) but the business does not even have any common courtesy.
Description of Work: We had problems with some of our sprinklers not operating-the people we bought our house from advised us that Carrillo's installed the sprinkler system, so we called them for the repair-while they did fix the problem, there were so many issues that came up then and after that I would not recommend them to anyone.
