I got Boston Brick through angie's list and from a friend who is a contractor. We had just bought a new house and the chimney needed to be rebuilt from the ground up. We got a number of quotes. boston brick was on the high side but they were the only ones willing to keep it as a wood burning fireplace. They walked us through the whole process from permits to design of the new fireplace and hearth. everyone in the office was great and very responsive. the staff was always professional. even better, though, were their craftsmen. the work was fantastic and they were accomidading every step of the way making sure we got exactly the look and quality we wanted without any suprise charges. I have no reservations about recommending them. i just wish we had another fireplace to fix so we could work with them again.

Our condo complex had a portion of our retaining wall coming detached and over time would have come away fully which could have resulted in a liability issue. Also planter boxes surrounding our palm trees were cracking due to the roots pushing through. Partly to blame for this is that we had no drainage for the water to escape and all that moisture was accumulating inside the walls. After the problem was assessed, Alex and his team came out to start the project which took about 2 1/2 weeks to complete. They completely tore down the defective wall and rebuilt it, repaired all the cracks in our planter boxes and installed a drainage system across the entire front of the complex. They matched the existing stucco and paint of the building perfectly which is approximately 17 years old. No one can tell this has been repaired at all. The crew was punctual (actually arrived a little early every day), smiling, hard working and very very polite while working on some of the hottest days of summer. No matter what time I came to check on the project, everyone was diligently working non stop. Alex, the supervisor, has also pitched in to help on several occasions. All my phone calls were answered promptly and professionally each and every time. Though they were a bit more expensive than other quotes I received, I am glad I chose Boston Brick & Stone. I would not only recommend them, but would use them again and again. If you want the job done right the first time, call them first.

Their pricing was fair and reasonable. I thought that they were prompt and did an excellent job. There were 1 or 2 things that I wanted them to come back and do a little bit differently. I thought it could have been finished a little bit more. They sent somebody right away to take a look at it then sent somebody to do the touch ups and it turned out great.

Completely unprofessional. These guys were really highly-recommended, too...if their bid was in the ballpark as the others I was planning on using 'em. Not anymore!

Things went well. I didn't have any major complaints. Overall it was fine. They didn't go overboard or out of his way to provide service, but it was fine. They used a camera and showed me the images and what I should consider.

They're a good company and the experience with them has been positive. They're just a professional company.

I thanked him and tried to get off the phone. He continued to ask me questions and then asked me to hold and came back saying his manager told him they were having a summer sale for $120. I did not fell good about the interaction

We wanted to lose the grass to reduce water usage, bugs etc. Mark understood just what we wanted, talked us through options and drew up the plans quickly and efficiently. They were very good. They did a really good job. There was another house that I sold. They redid the whole chimney and gave me a big feedback.

Their prices were competitive and they seemed to a good job.

They responded fairly quickly and came one day after we called them. They quoted $8000. They were professional and quick and it was a reasonable price.

This is a SHAKEDOWN operation. They're business is inspections, not repairs - just check out the preferred client list on their website - pretty much all realtors...hmmmmm. The 'expert' inspector concluded our chimney was a total teardown,no repair alternative. hmmmm. And by the way, they could build a new chimney for just $21K! No thanks, wouldn't trust the non-licensed (he works under owner's gc license), non--engineer, recent-hire (I confirmed this) . I will get a second opinion. Yes, and low and behold the chimney is repairable! Dont' waste your time with these guys.

Arrived a little late but got the job done efficiently. Waited for inspector to check chimney for cracks. Did not go on roof. Said we had minor cracking which should be repaired. He never sent estimate although I called to remind twice. Inspector was annoyingly slow because he talked on his cell phone the entire time.

My experience to them was good, they've made a video and they've showed the chimney. They were on time and I thought that the work was what I needed for my home.

Very professional company. They sent out a very knowledgeable inspector who was pleasant, professional and punctual. This was for a client of mine who is purchasing a home with a prefab fireplace that can't be used. I would highly recommend this company.

There is not enough space to describe the beautiful work this company does. From the very beginning everyone was wonderful, happy, tidy and on time,even through the Christmas holiday. The old brick chimney was removed down to the roof line. Two new stacks were installed, two new fire boxes were installed, all inspections passed with flying colors and the finished product is a masterpiece. Even though the chimney was finished with stucco (base of chimney is old brick) the workers cut some of the old brick and used it to decorate the new chimney. It is a showpiece!

They came to our site to take a look at what we wanted done. We didn't actually let them do the work because their price was a little too high. I don't remember the price of the quote. They are more like a retail supplier and would probably have assigned a contractor in their network to do the job if we had given it to them.

They estimated the job would take two days to finish, but they finished the entire job in a single day. They arrived on time and went over exactly what they would do. Only issue was that they failed to demonstrate how to light the gas logs and review their work. However, their supervisor came out promptly after I called and walked us through the lighting procedure and walked us through all of the work done.

Bricks and Stones responded to my initial call by scheduling a timely inspection of the two fireplaces and chimney stack that they share. A Level II inspection resulted in the two work proposals, one for $6700 and one for $20,000. A Level III inspection was recommended to determine if the chimney was properly backfilled--cost of this inspection would be credited toward the total cost of the repair job if ordered. I opted instead to schedule the work on the first proposal with the stipulation that I would be obligated only for the first $1000 once the crown was removed and Bricks and Stones further defined the scope of the project. It was determined that the chimney was backfilled and I decided to continue with the Plan A proposal with an additional work order ($1000) for some minor back fill repair. The work was scheduled within a week and was completed as proposed in two days. Care was taken to match the brick in the firebox where only one wall was replaced. The crew came on time, worked efficiently and left the fireplaces and house clean and free of debris.
