Valley Groundworks Landscaping

The landscape cleanup process went fairly well. In a matter of week, they Valley Groundworks was able to get most of the job completed. The job was left only 85-90% complete. Initially, the crew was great to work with- they showed up on time, they moved quickly, they appeared to be working all day long. There were two large palm tress that we had removed, but the stumps were left behind. During the removal of the palm trees, two electric outlets on the outside patio were broken to pieces and never repaired or replaced. We had a couple of large agave plants removed, and those trunks were left behind as well. For almost 3 weeks the cleanup debris sat in my driveway looking like a abandoned pile of tree branches, leaves and dirt. It wasn't until neighbors began to complain about the eyesore that I decided to take matters into my own hands. I hired a separate haul away company to remove the debris. Juan Zuniga of Valley Groundworks would constantly provide excuses for not being able to finish the project in a timely manner. At one point, he even drove his truck onto a neighbors lawn after having lost control of his truck and said he wouldn't be bale to come back until the repairs on the truck had been completed. We sat around waiting for over 2 months listening to promises that he would come back and finish the landscaping job he started. We never saw Juan again. He initially offered to return the unused portion of the money we had given him-I made the mistake of paying for his services in full before the job was complete- but I never saw a refund, never saw Juan or his crew, and our landscaping is still incomplete. We have since had to hire a new landscaper to finish the job they left unfinished, an irrigation specialist to connect our system which was left disconnected and an electrician to repair the damage they did to the outlets in the back.
