Description of Work: I contacted Jesse to build a custom island for our kitchen in our new home. Initially, he was responsive in returning my calls and coming to my house for appointments. His quote was good and his demeanor seemed to be one that was trusting. In fact, he even brought his kids to the jobs on multiple occasions. Since, I was doing the remodel myself, Jesse was more than happy to assist in providing me with some ideas. In fact, we decided to redo our cabinet doors to give the kitchen a whole new look. Jesse began work on the cabinets but was always asking to extend the date of delivery for one reason or another. Eventually, he installed the cabinet doors but we still had to wait for the island to be installed. Jesse promised to deliver the island at 10:00am on a Saturday after taking a while to get him to return my calls (approximately 5 days). For some reason, the islands countertop was not ready and Jesse promised to deliver the entire island the following Tuesday. Tuesday comes and no island and no Jesse. I called him daily for an update and he didn't return my call until Friday night saying he would deliver the island on Saturday morning. He came on Saturday installed the island but didn't install the countertop as their deliver person mistakenly double booked according to him. He told me it would be delivered next Saturday and that he would confirm the time with me this week. Saturday comes and no countertop. I email Jesse to tell him that the countertop never showed and that he is forcing me to contact my attorney for advice on how to proceed. I get an email back from him within 30 minutes telling me that the guy was scheduled to come in an hour but he cancelled because of my email to him. Really???? I have my wife contact him to play nice and he tells her that he will agree to have it done next Saturday. Another Saturday comes and no island, no contact from Jesse. At this point we have to go find someone else to buy and install the island from and it ends up costing us significantly more to complete. On top of all this, Jesse sends me a threatening email to sue if we do not submit the second half of our payment for the island which he never completed.
