Scott was brought onto the job by another contractor that we found on Angie's list. He was prompt, professional and very personable. He found the trouble quickly and kept the job on a quick time frame. He was personable, cleaned up the job when he finished and the Essex rate was very fair. We will use them again.
Description of Work: had to troubleshoot and repaired heater. Electric ignition was not engaging.

What a joke!
Description of Work: My wife and I had our A/C fail on Friday late afternoon. I called my Landlord to notify him that we needed a repair knowing that it could be called in until Monday. My wife received a call from our landlord on Monday at approx 11am telling my wife that we should be hearing from the company within 1/2hr. At 1:pm I grew concern that we hadn't heard from them and called myself. Rachel answered the phone and check on when our appt was and told me that it wouldn't be until 12-3pm the following day. It was over 100 the last 2 days and grew concern that my wife who stays home would have to endure another 24 hrs. It was explained that they Just received the call and it was because my landlord called late it had to be tomorrow? I explained that he called before 11am and it wasnt true he had just called because he called my wife and let her know that they would be calling. I told her that I would get back with her after I called my landlord. I returned call the almost immediately figuring that at this late in the day ( 2:30pm) the lilelyhood of getting anyone else out would be slim. I talked again with Rachell and explained that I had looked at the unit and gave her the model # and asked if they carried the fan motor in stock or would they have to order. She placed me on hold and then returned and told me that they didn't know what was on the truck that was going to service the home and they didn't know if they had one in stock. I asked that when they sent the repair man that they carry one because it was the motor that had failed. She stated her supervisor knew and would pass it on. The next day I called at 2:00pm expressing my concern that we had not seen the repairman yet. I was informed that my landlord had cancelled the appt the previous day and they wouldnt be coming out. I was again shocked that we were again pushed to the bottom of the pile. When I called my landlord he stated that no conversation had taken place and would call them. He was told that they couldnt do the repair because they didn't talk to tenets??????? He explined that thy had done many jobs for him before and he was reffered to them because he had a American Home Shield warranty. Hmmmmm. They agreed to 10am Wednesday. This is customer service? Shame on you! The economy doesnt allow you to make rules up as you go along.. You are swamped or you are taking advantage of your AHS contract. You don't deal with Tenets? Wow! Our money isnt green? I was once a AHS contractor and it could be done. My servicer arrived before his scheduled Wednesday call( 24 hrs last from the 1st appt) Diagnosed the issue as a fan motor then told my wife that he had to go to the shop to get the motor. again Hmmmmm. Repair done quickly when he came back. I di notice that the cabinet wasnt replaced correctly or screws placed back that secures it. Uh I think I will do it and be not insulted again. I hope this will amke a difference and changes happen because with this continued poor customer service and the repair not being complete it wont be long before others have the same problems.

It brings us great joy to receive positive feedback from our customers, but we pay close attention to negative feedback as well. Should we make a mistake, we do everything in our power to correct it to our customer’s satisfaction. Although we approach each job and customer with the same level of commitment, the few who have become displeased are usually customers we receive through insurance companies that we are contracted with. Customer frustrations arise from a lack of understanding about the relationship we have with their insurance. We act as a mediator. We are not responsible for determining what is covered by a specific plan. If the work needed exceeds their authorization limit, we must stop work and contact the insurance company. In most instances, the insurance company orders a part and has it shipped to us for installation at a later date. The time lapse can be very frustrating for the home owner or tenant, especially during times of extreme weather, but it is the policy of the insurance company and we have to abide by it. One other frustration arises from the fact that we have 48 hours to come out for service after we make an appointment in our allotted 4 hour time limit. We are almost always able to have a technician available for same day service, but unfortunately, a 48 hour wait occurs most often during extreme weather when we experience call backlog. This problem can complicate itself if we are working in a tenant occupied location. For liability reasons, we are often asked by owners not to disclose information to the tenants. We remain a conscientious company which strives to make all customers happy. We do take responsibility for our mistakes, and when mistakes on our part happen, we try to resolve them to the best of our ability. -Greg Unger Owner

They did a good work. They showed up on time. They were polite. They asked the questions that helped me get clear about what we might or might not want to do. I would use their service in the future.

They were on time, professional, polite and helpful. They did the service we needed done and didn't try to sell us something we didn't need. I appreciated their service ... I told a friend whose A/C wasn't working. She was also thrilled with their service, speed, professionalism and price. It's great to find a place you can trust...not like the other Guys in town who cheated Grandma.
