 + 0 moreIt went very well. He made it look good as new! And while I was there he sewed up a leather card case for me that was coming apart at a seam, and he didn't charge me.
Description of Work: I have used Midtown Shoe Repair for years. But most recently I had the handle on a Tumi suitcase repaired. I took it here because a Tumi dealer wanted $60 to repair it (including shipping).

 + -1 moreI thought my leather coat was ruined! A name tag had marked it badly and other leather shops had told me nothing could be done. $25 and one week later I have my favorite coat back. I found this repair shop through Angie's List and will go to them again.
Description of Work: Suede leather coat badly marked by name tag. Markings were removed.

 + -1 moreHe took an old leather purse, stained with a large black ink spot and a few smaller purple ones and made them all disappear. A zipper pull was replaced. The purse looks new. All the stains were removed, the leather was conditioned and it looks better than I ever imagined. He did a terrific job. He also dealt with me outside, since I have MCS & asthma & could have a reaction to any chemicals in the shop. I recommend this shop highly, service could not have been better.
Description of Work: Long-standing ink stains removed, zipper pull replaced, leather conditioner over all.

 + -1 moreAlways does a great job. I've been amazed again and again with what a great job they do. I've taken some pretty beat up shoes in there to be cleaned and they look almost as good as new when I get them back.
Description of Work: Over the last 11 years I've had multiple things repaired at Midtown Shoe Repair, including luggage, belts that needed to be shortened, shoes that needed to be resoled and/or heeled or just cleaned up, and buttons sewn on leather coats.
