I had read complimentary reviews on Angie's List and Yelp and were not disappointed! As the reviews said, Dan showed up in his Mini-Cooper for the estimate of both exterior and interior paint jobs. He was extremely personable, professional, and knowledgeable. We had our estimate within hours and scheduled the job for 2 weeks after estimate. We continued to communicate with Ashley by phone and email. Loved that they were always available for questions/concerns. Lead Pedro and Salvador completed the job in 6 days and were great to work with; they were professional, knowledgeable, on time, neat. Pedro quickly went to buy new stain when I decided the first choice was too dark. He was very aware of the weather and cancelled one day because of rain. My husband and I are very impressed with the entire CertaPro Painters of Silicon Valley staff and will contact them when we are ready to paint the interior of our house

I was happy with the job. I had to ask them to redo a couple of the areas and they were very responsive. They did well.

I had originally chosen another painter for my project, but when the schedule got off with the remodel, the original painter could not be as flexible as I needed. Dan worked with me on the schedule so I decided to work with CertaPro. One of the best decisions I made! The work was very well done. The team was outstanding. The office, Henry our foreman, the painters, Dan - they were all so professional and went out of their way to make this project come together for the holidays. They even worked Christmas Eve! And our patio furniture was dry before the guests arrived. I will not hesitate to recommend CertaPro.

I contacted four different paint companies in the area, all of whom were highly rated on Angie's List. Dan Ford, CertaPro's owner, stood out amongst all when we were making our decision. He was prompt, courteous, thorough and very professional in discussing our job, and CertaPro's bid was very competitive with others, so we made the decision to contract with them. (Part of this decision-making process is using your intuition about the people you talk with- a bit scary when so much money is involved.) Everything went pretty much according to plan after the three-man crew began. They were a hard-working group. The foreman, Mario, was very good at communicating with us and responding to our requests. His job was particularly challenging since we live in a two-family house and there were two families to please, not always an easy task. We also needed to make some color choices "on the fly" and Mario helped walk us through that as well. (We had turned down CertaPro's offer of a free consult with a color consultant before we began, which, in retrospect, was a mistake, but fortunately, it all turned out well.) The crew finished everything in 7 days which is what was originally estimated, and they did a fabulous job. The house really looks beautiful. I would highly recommend CertaPro, and Mario's crew in particular (Mario, Israel and Ernesto).

They were very good. I really like them. They were very efficient, timely, and polite.

It was okay. Working with them is great because they answered my questions. Getting a quote is great as well.

Two men arrived in a timely manner and efficiently painted the trim and overhanging porch. They worked quietly and were done in one day. I was very happy with the results. Everyone I worked with through this company was very professional.

Punctuality and communication: Dan was always responsive to any and all concerns. I met with him within 48 hours of my contacting him for an estimate. He was honest and up front about what the job would entail. He was very clear that he wanted to provide a cost estimate but that due to the nature of the job it might not be possible. We agreed on an initial charge of time and labor for the first part of the job, then generating an estimated cost of the job with my approval. I was pleased with the way this worked out and he was comparable to the other quotes I got. Quality of work: Dan's foreman (Fernando) and his partner were punctual and worked efficiently. When I had a question about the job early on, I communicated this with Dan and he made sure that we were all on the same page. The job was done in 2 days. What had looked like a mess before (basically a botched stain job) now looks gorgeous. I couldn't be happier. I would definitely consider Certapro Silicon Valley again.

Mr. Dan Ford arrived on time to go over the property and make up an estimate for the cost of the job. He had color samples and information about how the paint job would be done and what to expect from their company...Mr. Ford measured the walls and took photos. In a very short time he emailed me the quote. I appreciated the fact he had the job detailed and had spelled out what I was paying for. The office staff very quickly scheduled a start time. On the first day was a minor mix up about the first deposit, but with one call was resolved and work was started, the office staff kept up communication about the job progress, I appreciated that contact since the job was in Palo Alto and I live in another City. The two painters were hard working and very good at their profession. the finished job looks good. Mr. Ford had a professional designer available to help with the color choice. I would not hesitate to use CertaPro again.

We wanted some wallpaper removed (from 2 walls) in our kitchen and have the kitchen and kitchen cabinets repainted. The workmen were very professional and accommodating. After they finished, we noticed a few minor items that did not look right on the cabinets. The workers came back the very next day to touch up the problems. We now have a freshly painted kitchen that we are very pleased with.

Very well. Painter was very capable and careful. He altered his reporting times to accommodate appointments we had. He finished on time and we were very pleased.

It went very well and probably as good as anyone could expect. Dan Ford came to my house and went over every detail including my emphasis on prep work. I am a bit of a nitpicker so I wanted everything spelled out so both of us knew what to expect. He was patient and listened and documented everything I said. He provided his estimate and after getting a couple other estimates, I selected his company. I needed some repair work done before the house could be painted and he recommended someone who did the repair work promptly and well. I worked with Ashley to make the arrangements for the work to be done. It went smoothly especially when Ashley was able to move up the dates to get the work done sooner. When that day arrived, Rob (supervisor) and Michael showed up. I discussed the job at length with Rob and emphasized what I expected and wanted plus went over the type of paint and colors since my wife changed her mind after the initial color consultation. He gave me his personal cell number so that I could contact him with any concerns. I had wood areas that get a lot of sun and required extra prep and paint to have it the way I wanted it. I also wanted special reflective paint so that it would hopefully last longer than standard paint plus I figured would not absorb as much of the sun's rays and help keep my house cooler in the summer. I hope that works. Anyway Rob and Michael came out every day doing all the prep work and responding to my nitpicking comments so the house was done to my satisfaction. Some of the wood was not in great shape which made prep and painting difficult but they worked and worked on it to satisfy me. They finished the painting and left a completely satisfied customer. It was a very positive experience (except for having to pay for it, I am a bit tight). They all told me to call if I notice anything that I need redone so I have all their phone numbers and I know they will be there if I need them. In a year or two, I will likely want the inside of my house painted and they will be the first and possibly only company that I will call. Thank you Rob, Michael, Dan and Ashley for such a positive experience and the excellent work.

Dan Ford, the owner, came out to discuss the job and provide a proposal. We had the proposal a couple of days later via e-mail. We chose CertaPro's proposal out of the three proposals that we had solicited based on price, experience, and emphasis on customer service. The job was scheduled to start four weeks later. They were able to start a week earlier. Pablo, the foreman, and his co-worker showed up on time and consulted with us on the details of the job. They did a great job which took most of two days. They taped up areas not to be painted with plastic sheeting. They left the work area very neat and clean and took away all of the debris. The finished product looks great.

We had our interior painted by CertaPro and were very happy with the results. The price was fair, based on several estimates we got. We got exactly the colors we requested. Additional work we requested, such as patching holes and re-texturing were added as the job progressed. They were fairly priced and the quality of the work was excellent. Our interior has oddly shaped walls and ceilings, which made the job more difficult, but everything was completed to our satisfaction. The few issues we found were all corrected quickly once they were pointed out.

Second time repeat business, and I am very happy with the work done. I had CertaPro paint the exterior of my house this time. Dan was prompt and very competitive with his quote. Very responsive as well; I barely had to wait half a day (if that) to get a reply to my email or phone call. His crew of father-and-son, Mario and Sammy, were very polite, courteous, and had great attention to detail. They listened to every request I made, and even gave some valuable suggestions and tips. Would recommend again.

Certa-Pro did an excellent job. The painting crew was skilled, knew what they needed to do, and got it done. They were all courteous, professional and friendly. They cleaned up after themselves every day instead of leaving the mess until the job was complete. It did take about a week longer than estimated, however, the crew was short by two men, so the time extention was to be expected. There was not a single time during the entire experience that any of the homeowners were put out in any manner. We highly recommend this Certa-Pro team to anyone needing painting done.

The CertaPro painters (Foster City) did a great job. The preparation and the painting was very professional-looking. The project cost was one of our lowest estimates. The head painter, Jose, was very dedicated to doing a careful and complete job. He also did a beautiful job painting our front door giving it a stained look using paints without the much higher cost of actually applying a stain. (He also helped me color-match and buy some deck stain for a small deck which I will paint.) After the painting started, there was a contract interpretation issue as to exactly what was to be done. We also wanted to request switching some excluded and included items without affecting the total cost. I contacted the home office, and the supervisor (John) came out and immediately resolved these to our satisfaction. (his wife had just given birth two days before - yet he still made time to make sure we were happy with our paint project).

We were on a tight schedule as the original painter had fallen through. Dan Ford did the estimate. There was some miscommunication between me, the office staff, and Dan about our deadline, but they managed to rearrange things so they could meet our deadline. We had someone else do the exterior work as they couldn't fit that in. Nicolas and his team were great - on time, nice, clean, good work, left the site spotless. I think we could have spent a little bit less as the job was done a bit early and there was no trim work involved, but we didn't have time to get competitive bids so we don't know for sure. We appreciated that CertaPro made it happen on time, and it looks great.

Our first interior painting project was a very good experience with Dan Ford at CertaPro Painters of Silicon Valley. I scheduled an estimate online and Ashley, Dan's assistant, promptly followed up. Dan showed up on scheduled in his Mini Cooper, sporting the CertaPro logo. It was like a scene from the movie ?The Italian Job? starring Mark Walhberg and Seth Green. CertaPro was on a mission and they found us. When Dan came to give us an estimate, we were allowing the sellers of the unit that we had closed on at the end of June to rent back the unit until they were able to buy their next home. The sellers couldn't have been more uncooperative, as they insisted that their young child was taking his nap at 3:00 in the afternoon and we were therefore not allowed to talk, which was going to make it hard to consult on how we wanted to paint our new home. The fact is I had given the sellers 10 days advance notice that I would be coming in to get an estimate from the painters. In addition to no talking, we were told to wear latex gloves and foot covers before entering the unit. Foot covers, fine, but gloves?! Dan Ford took all of this in stride with a smile and a chuckle. He did his best to maneuver around the unit without disturbing the sleeping child and without knocking anything over, given the low light conditions, since the blinds were closed. Hurray, Dan! Thanks for your patience and good sense of humor. Dan gives us the estimate, with a proper nod to my Angie's List membership. The next day I call back to schedule a one-hour color consultation to decide on the best color paints to use. Having been dissed by the seller who was getting 30 days of rent-back from us, I knew that I would have to wait to schedule the color consultation until after they had moved out so that I wouldn't have to waste anyone?s time. Three weeks later, the color consultant shows up on time and she was very pleasant and all, but ultimately I can't say that she added much value to the process. She brought in her Kelly Moore paint box and asked us what colors we wanted to use. Well, that's why we brought in the color consultant, to help us decide which color we should use. The fact is, she really was not that familiar with the Kelly Moore color palette. She just did not seem to have any suggestions or challenges to what colors might go well with the size of our unit and that would match the cabinetry and the hardwood floors. In the end, we would have been much better off just going to the Kelly Moore paint shop and comparing the collection of color cards side by side. But at least the color consultant helped us get the ball rolling by making us think about what colors might go well, not that they would go well. Surprisingly, the best color consultant of all ended up being, drum roll please ? the actual person who would be painting our unit. We were cutting things close, as we were scheduled to move in the following week, and Ashley was thankfully able to squeeze us onto the production schedule on a Thursday, a week before we would be moving in. We were really glad that we went over to the Kelly Moore paint shop on the morning that the painters were scheduled to start our job and pick up some samples of the paints that we had chosen with the color consultant. We wanted to have the painter put some paints on the wall so that we could see how the colors might actually look. Believe me, color cards aren't the same as paint on a wall. They simply are not the same thing. Our painter, Juan Pablo ?Picasso? calls me at 7:45 a.m., ahead of schedule, to let me know that he is waiting for me. Fantastic. The CertaPro Team from the office coordinator to the estimator to the color consultant to the painters were all on schedule. Ashley had given me the name of the person who would be my point of contact for the paint job and it wasn?t Pablo. So when Pablo called, I was a bit skeptical at first. But once I met with him and he began responding to our wants and concerns, we were put at ease and felt more confident that things were going in the right direction. Pablo ?Picasso? was good enough to put our eight sample paints for the bedroom and living room on the walls so that we could compare. Thank God he did! Otherwise, total disaster! OMG! Are those the colors we chose? You must be kidding. We were lucky that we picked a color for the living room that we saw at the last minute at the Kelly Moore store. Pablo is Da Man. He pulled us out from the gaping jaws of the Lion of Color Blindness and saved us from a slow torture that was sure to give us nightmares, night sweats, fits of hysteria and general insanity. As we learned from this experience, you need to have some antique white to help give the eyes a breather. It?s okay to play with color but you don?t want to overdose on color. The accent wall is a good way to go, especially for smaller living spaces. Too much color can be overwhelming. Pablo was very polite and assured us that he was going to make it work for us. He wanted us to be completely happy and he was going to do whatever it took to get it right. He and Julio did exactly that. They did an expert job that showed great skill and professionalism. It wasn?t until the paint was skillfully put on the walls that it felt like our new home was truly our new home. Thanks to Ashley, Dan, Pablo, and Julio for a job well done.

They were on time and very professional. He has a great group of workers and they always clean up after themselves.

The job went smoothly. The foreman stayed on-site for the duration of the job and supervised appropriately.

We recently had the CertaPro painters paint the exterior of our house and they did a very nice job at a great price. It's a 1200 ft.² house and the total cost was $3000 with two painters taking about four days to finish the job. The painters did a good job with all the prep work, sanding and caulking, and in the few cases where we wanted a little additional prep work they were happy to go back and do some extra. They also did a good job cleaning up every day and only a few paint chips escaped their tarping. The other thing that I liked is that they have someone at the front office to coordinate things at all times. Some of the other painting companies that we contacted don't have anyone separate to answer the phone so, since the painters are usually painting during the day, you frequently end up playing phone tag. With CertaPro painters this was never an issue. There were occasionally small bits of miscommunication but I think that's just the nature of coordinating between several people. All of the CertaPro folks worked very diligently towards getting us a nice paint job and they certainly did. I would definitely recommend these guys.

There was never any waiting for him to get back to us. We were in somewhat of a rush to get the job done and they scheduled us right away, which was very appreciated. The two painters were very friendly and seemed to get along well with each other and enjoy their work. I talked to them both, and spent some time asking a lot of questions, and they answered them very knowledgeably and to my satisfaction. Now I know a lot more about painting pergolas and how to judge wood condition. In our minds, this was a sort of audition for when we need to paint the exterior of our house, and they passed with flying colors.
