Overall, it was a positive experience. Dan Ford came out to give us an estimate. The SOW included all the details so that there is no mis communication. The crew came out to on time to finish the job. The job took 1 day more than they anticipated, and they stayed on to finish the job. A couple places were left out by the first crew. I called them back and they came out almost immediately and fixed what was left out. Dan Ford is great - extremely responsive on email, and takes ownership in fixing the issues to make things right.

Extremely good preparation. They scraped off all loose paint, sealed all the cracks, found and replaced a few boards with dryrot, primed everything, and did an excellent job of coating it all with paint.

Did not get on with the initial painter assigned. In addition he was not well briefed. He was immediately replaced and the replacement crew did a fine job. The job was challenging but they managed it within the timescale agreed.

We had Dan from Certa pro out for our free consultation in the middle of August, as soon as he came in and started listing to what we wanted, we could tell there was a huge difference between his professionalism and the other companies that we had seen prior. During the walk through Dan broke down costs of labor and materials and also explained to me what exactly would be happening and reassured me that the job foreman would be able and willing to answer any of my questions. I was not sure about which colors that I wanted and I had asked Dan if he could put me in contact with a color consultant to help out with the decision, he did just that and got me an appointment at no additional charge. I had seen and heard all that I needed to and I decided to accept the bid that Dan and Certa Pro had put forth, work was to begin on Sept.2.2014 at 8:00am On Tuesday Sept.2 at 8:00 sharp the foreman and one painter showed up and introduced themselves. After the introduction he asked me to explain to him what I wanted and walk through the house with him to go over the final plan. The first day was almost all prep, they put plastic atop our carpet and over all of our belongings and they worked around us as we went about our day. At the end of the day they uncovered the things we would need to use through out the remainder of the evening and neatly stored their products on our porch covered by painters tarp On Wednesday Sept 3rd the foreman and his worker showed up again as stated at 8am. Carlos the foreman let me know their plan for the day, asked if I had any questions and made sure that the painting they had done on the ceiling was okay. They went about their work through out the house and then Carlos brought to my attention that one of the walls would need an extra coat of paint because the color we had before was to dark. He explained it would be $65 an hour for labor and he would need to go get some more paint, I agreed and it was completed. On the last day Sept.4 Carlos and his worker again showed up promptly at 8am. They finished what needed finishing and started to pick up the tools and tarps/plastic wrap they had been using. After everything was picked up and "clean" Carlos let me know they where leaving the extra paint in the corner of our porch, covered with plastic(which I was more then okay with). walking the house the painting looks wonderful and vibrant I am very happy with the way the paint and colors turned out. On a side note, the only thing I am less then thrilled about is the physical clean up of our home after the job was completed. Through out the day I have been walking around and finding dried paint crumbles or sheet rock dust on our carpet and on the stairs. I am disappointed in this because I had let them use my shop vac for this exact reason and it still was not completed. Over all I am very satisfied with the job that was done and the service I received and I would recommend Dan and Certa Pro to friends and family

I was extremely pleased with the work and the workers. They reported to me each day what they had done and what they would do the following day. They always cleaned up each day before they left. All ladders down and stacked. Tools and equipment stored each evening in safe location in back. Vac and sweep up end of day. They were very polite and answered my question when I had them. I would definitly use them again.

It was a great experience. Everything went very well. They are professional, their prices are competitive- their prices are not the lowest, but they are decent priced, and they are easy to talk to, and communicate very well. With the job that they did years ago, we would go through the job with them every morning, as to what needed be corrected, and redone, and they were very responsive, and got everything done. We were very pleased with them, and we have used them several times since. We will use them again next week to paint our new house. They are very professional. I did a lot of painting in the past, or I have hired random people to do the paint work, and it was a hit or miss, but they are very high end. They meet with you, the estimator gives you an estimate, they give you a bunch of paperwork, and they tell you why hiring them is good, and then they get a bunch of people out there to do the work, so it is a very professional, high end kind of a company. They gave me a discount for being an Angie's List member.

I think they are great. They did an excellent job, and I am very happy with them. If I had to paint my home again, I would definitely get them to do it.

They did a very good job, not an excellent job, missed some details, which needed to be pointed out. Trim work could have been better, but in general a very good job. We felt we got what we paid for, they were cheaper than other estimates.

Initial consult went very well, very professional. They sent out a color specialist to help us choose which colors should go in which rooms and wrote up a plan for us. All very professional, very helpful. When the painters arrived to do the work, they had no idea what to do. We showed them the paperwork that the color consultant wrote up for us but they couldn't understand it. They didn't speak English very well, so it was difficult to communicate with them. We called the person that we met with and he came by to help them sort it out but we felt like this should have all been set up for them with no need for us to have to interpret for them. The job went about a week longer than scheduled and the painters didn't clean up very well after themselves. Overall, the painting looks good and the initial consult and color coordinator was great. Something got dropped or not communicated well between these initial consults and the actual painting job, though, which unfortunately colored our opinion of their service.

Dan from CertaPro came out to the house to do an initial inspection and quote. He was polite, friendly, and explained in detail the process. Dan and his staff at the office are always quick to respond to questions by phone or email. When the painters came out to start and complete the project, Carlos and his colleague were meticulous in taping off windows and doors to contain any over spray. Overall, my house looks fantastic.. i get many compliments from my neighbors on the color and look. Thanks CertaPro.

It was the best experience I ever had. It couldn’t have been any better. They are punctual and answer all the queries. They also provide estimates on time. The boys were very clean and they provided daily updates, communicated everything very clearly and cleaned up every day. They didn’t leave the place until we did a final walkthrough.

Certa-pro was prompt in arrivala for the estimate. Reviewed the structure and recommended some carpenter work for sections of the trim that had damage. Quote was quickly sent by email in PDF form. The office coordinated with the contractor to plan the painting as the repair work was done. . The paint crew was very professional. They power washed the entire structure the first day. The 2nd day they carefully placed tarps to protect the stone patio. They sprayed a primer coat and hand painted the trim. The 3rd day was the finish coat and brushed the trim with 2 coats. They hand painted the 3 metal gates. They finished the job with a few hours on the 4th day making sure all areas were covered well. The work-site cleanup was very professional and they left with no damage and a great paint job. We did use Certa-Pro later in the year when we did an interior room paint update. We are now planning to use Certa-Pro to paint the bedrooms and living room interior.

Overall, went pretty well once personnel issue was resolved. At first only 1 worker was there (other one was sick). Went on for a couple of days until I contacted them about lack of personnel and my concern that (1) the job would take much longer with only 1 person and (2) 1 person was simply not enough to perform a quality job. Received a quick response and another person was assigned the next day until the end of the job. Job took a few days longer than expected. Quality of work was very good, attention to detail was also very good. Crew solicited my feedback several times on details and overall quality and endeavored to make me happy with the result.

I got them from Angie's List. They have a color consultant who comes out before we paint. She did come out. We went over a lot of paints and I picked out the one that I thought I liked the best for my house. I was changing my color. She proceeded to go away on vacation. The painters came. The painter asked me to look at this sample before he did my house. They painted one of the eaves. I told them that was not the color I picked out. He said it was, named it and kept pointing to it. I actually thought I was losing it. I thought that I picked that out and did not remember. I couldn’t get a hold of her. I picked a brown, and this is a dark yellow. I was thinking maybe it looks different in the light. I was just agonizing over it. He said that they have to move on this because time is precious. They painted the whole house yellow. She came back from vacation and I called her right away. She came and said that was not the color we picked out. She picked out Sherwin-Williams Tiki Hut and they gave me another brand of Tiki Hut. They repainted it completely. I didn’t pay extra, but I understand that they charged her. They were very good. I would recommend them. They did everything I asked them to do, and they did it well. I am having a hard time getting them to come back for a couple of touchups, but not always their fault.

I was very pleased with both jobs. The company is very professional and has very fair pricing, keeps their schedules and does an excellent job of painting. We were very pleased with both jobs.

Everything went very smoothly. The foremen assigned were very courteous and willing to adjust either scope or schedule to provide us with the best possible service.

From the time that I made the call for an estimate to the completion of the work it could not have gone better. Dan Ford gave a very thorough description of my options and the cost and tradeoffs for each one. The work was scheduled at the time I requested and Javier, the foreman, insured that the work began on time, finished on schedule and was of very high quality. This is the second time I have had Certa Pro do work for me. The first time was to paint the exterior of my house which was also an excellent job. One thing that impresses me about Dan Ford and CertaPro is that they do not "nickel and dime you" as some other vendors do. For example Javier found that one of the boards was separating from the deck. He repaired it without asking first or looking to boost the cost. He also put on a second coat no extra cost when the first coat did not produce the result he was expecting. It was clear that he took pride in his work and set a high standard to be met before he would declare the job completed. I very highly recommend Dan Ford of CertaPro and his team. I trust them and they product high quality work at a very reasonable cost. Not much more that one could ask for. ,

Certa of San Mateo was thurough, timely and detail oriented. They took a week to prep which really showed in the final product. Our garage door was over 70 years old and they made it look brand new. We couldn't be happier with the finished product and will definitely try them again. Initially I was concerned because we bid it out to three companies and with the Angie's list discount they were significantly less expensive. I was blown away and would definitely use them again.

Fantastic. Would recommend 100%. Foreman called to give daily updates every day and the quality was top notch.

To begin with they were late and they also didn't honor a 10% off for Angie's List members. I also didn't get the invoice. I felt that the charge was a little high. They also used Sherwin Williams paints and I don't like those paints. They didnt give a firm estimate and I didn't like that either. 3/17/14 - He had negotiated the situation with my daughter and she had approved the use of Sherwin Williams paint instead of the paint that we had agreed on before. He offered to correct any issues. He did give the 10% that was offered through Angie's List.
