KC's 23 1/2 Hour Plumbing, Inc.

This happened on the 4th of July so I was gratefu to have KC’s come out as sewage was backing up it two of my bathrooms. The plumber was great. He was here when they said he would be here on a holiday and got things to a manageable point before leaving for the day. He returned the next morning to do the excavation of the front yard and replace/upgrade the pipe. He finished the end of the day and looking at my well manicured landscape you would never have known there was a four foot deep trench in my yard earlier that day. I could not be happier.

Great- Kevin replumbed the outlet line and we have not had any condensation pooling issues since. He was professional and friendly and this is the second time we've used KC's. We will certainly use this company again if we encounter any other plumbing issues. Thanks!

We moved from Minnesota to our winter home, our new permanent residence. The water heater pilot light malfunctioned and would not stay lighted. Needed an expensive replacement part for an old water heater. We bought an on-demand, gas water heater. 97% efficiency. Installed by Jesse. Top-notch service man.. Cost around $1800 with a $200 rebate from the state. Unit comes with an additional solar heating system which will be installed on the roof and will supply 20% of the hot water heated by the sun. (Special $8500 free system from the state) Supply pipes carefully insulated. Quality product and quality service. Impressed with 24/7 service available! We love, love, love the 120 degrees instant hot water throughout the house.

We came back from a trip with a leak in our wall. We turned off the water and cut the drywall ourselves to expose the leaky pipe and called KC. They came out first thing the following morning. The quote was reasonable and Big Jim did an excellent job getting the leak fixed in under an hour. Thanks KC!

Less than 3 weeks later the pipes backed up in the house and I called another company to come and clear them. I was told that they hadn't cleared the roots all the way to the street and thats why the house backed up. I called my credit card company and denied approx $350 (the cost of the second cleaning) of their $1,800 charge and also called KC plumbing but was not called back. When my credit card company back-charged them the $350, I did get a call from the owner who was not very nice. We argued over what transpired and he said he could sue me and win etc etc. At the end of the conversation he said he would not contest the charge-back. Then I get a notice from my bank saying he is fighting it and they sent several forms for me to fill out. It turned out that the bank credited my account for the $350 so all ended well but for the owner to be so belligerent and say he would not contest the chargeback and then does contest it....well that's lying. Don't use them for this reason even though the workmen are courteous and friendly the owner is not and should have handled the situation differently from the onset.

I had scheduled for a Monday afternoon, but they had to reschedule for Tuesday. Then, when they never showed at the appointed time on Tues, I called and got rescheduled for Wed. He did show on Wed, very apologetic regarding the previous day. A plumbing emergency took priority. My annual VIP membership ended on 4/30/13, but they extended it to 5/1/13 when the work was finally accomplished. I did have the same technician as last year, which was nice since he knew a lot about my plumbing from the extensive work I had him do last year. Casey was very professional, but personable.

When they installed it, they took our old water heater out in our front yard and drained it. This killed a large section of our lawn. They also unplugged our alarm system and it didn't work for four days. They never left an owner's manual so we asked them three times to send one. It took them three weeks of sending the wrong info and finally someone drove it over. The guy that installed it was very nice and we do like the water heater.

They're good. They're quick to respond and their estimates are detailed. They come in on budget and they're always asking us how they're doing and asking for feedback.

Once in a year they come out to clean the water heaters. They also come over if we have any plumbing needs. They fixed our garbage disposal. I picked them in the newspaper because of their advertisement. I liked their advertisement. The thing I liked about them was they will come out, tell you what the problem is and what the cost is gonna be. Their response was pretty quick. They charged a very fair price.

They performed the job, but charged $330 for a simple job. THIS IS 2.5 TIMES WHAT THE PREVIOUS PLUMBER CHARGED ($125)!! Highway robbery! They called us to get credit card information - we were SHOCKED at the price but went ahead and authorized the charge. The next day, I received an email alert from MasterCard that a charge for $472 hit the card. WHAT?! Well, they went ahead and did another (unauthorized) job AFTER we approved the charge to our card. The job; a 10 minute (and $10 in parts) job, replacing the emergency cutoff line under the kitchen sink. $142 for 10 minutes!!!!! Not only an outrageous fee, but credit card fraud as well! Then, the serviceman (really SALES person) proceeded to: a) try and sell an annual and quot;VIPand quot; membership to our tenant for $191/yr (gives you 10% discount on any services - at their rates, 10% is still not a deal!) and then ... b) try to sell a multi thousand dollar job to replace the sewer line (our regular plumber said not needed) and ... c) told our tenant that their and quot;oldand quot; toilet (10 years) should be replaced for water savings and better flushing efficiency. What toilet did they try to sell? A $675 Toto Drake toilet. $675!!!!! DO NOT use this sales organization. WAY OVERPRICED, and try to sell up to services not needed. The service people must be on a great commission program!!!

I was happy with them. They came out on time and did a very good job. They solved the problem, which was totally what I did not think it was; it was fortunately not as drastic a problem as I thought it was going to be. They fixed it right away. I had water coming out from the floorboards, and I thought a pipe underneath had broken; moreover, I have tiles. It turned out that the piping from the ice machine in my refrigerator at the wall was leaking. I was happy with the price. They were very professional, and their responsiveness was good. I would rate them highly and would use them again in the future if necessary.

THEY WERE VERY FAST ON GETTING HERE. WE HAD THEM COME OUT TWICE FOR DIFFERENT PROBLEMS. THE FIRST TIME, THEY WERE OUT THE SAME DAY, AND THE SECOND TIME, THEY WERE OUT TWO DAYS LATER. ONCE THEY GOT HERE, THEY WERE IN AND OUT. THE GUY WHO CAME OUT WAS VERY GOOD AT SHOWING US WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS.

THEY DID A REALLY GOOD JOB. MY HUSBAND JUST CAME HOME FROM THE HOSPITAL, SO THEY MADE SURE WE WERE HOME BEFORE THEY CAME OUT. THEY WAITED FOR US TO COME BEFORE COMING OUT. MOST PEOPLE WOULD JUST COME AND THEN LEAVE IF WE WERE NOT HOME. I CALLED THEM FIRST THING IN THE MORNING, AND THEY WERE OUT BY 2:00. THE GUY THAT CAME OUT WAS VERY NICE AND VERY HELPFUL. MY MOTHER IS THE ONE THAT PAID FOR THEM TO COME (ZENDA SARAYDARIN), BUT I WAS THE ONE THAT WAS HERE WHEN THEY CAME. I LIVE IN THE HOUSE WHERE THEY SERVICED. I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SERVICE AND WOULD CALL THEM AGAIN (WE DID CALL THEM AGAIN A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER). THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME, CANDY REYNA
