Fermin Reodriguez

Description of Work: We began a small kitchen update mid May 2012. The contractor for our kitchen cabinet refinishing brought Fermin Rodruguez in to reconfigure the granite island. He was to match original granite, reconfigure the shape and add new sink/fixtures. Sink/fixtures were provided by the client. Granite was a good match. Fermin did not show up for several appointments and never called. Two days before we were leaving for several months, he and his giggling helpers, installed the island counter. At that time we noted a visible seam thru the center of the counter. He said it was just the glue and would dry. Upon our return, the glaring seam was still there even after several hand polishing with a granite cleaning polishing product. I called Fremin Rodruguez and left voice mail messages. We had another stone worker come and evaluate the finish. He said the original installer needs to correct the problem because it was not glue. Fermin and his help had ground the granite down ithe seam edges and left a track, in the middle of our counter. The entire surface needs to be evened out. This will require removing sink etc. and be quite dusty. He recommended I call the original installer again. Eventually, Fermin did pick up my call, when I called from another phone. We scheduled a time for him to see it. He did come and acknowledged the problem. He set a date to come back and refinish it. He actually "promised" he would be there. He did not show up, he did not call. That was to be on 1/21/13. The contractor that recommenced him has also tried to help resolve this issue with Fermin. He was embarrassed with Fermin's workmanship and lack of response. Issue remains unresolved.
