Slide Rite - Glass and Sliding Door Service

He came twice. First to take measurements. Waited about 2 weeks for doors to come in . Arrived promptly at scheduled time for install and made extra effort to ensure doors operated smoothly. Definitely very pleased.

Initial contact pricing visit went well. Installation and service of rollers was done well. The only problem was Sliderite meeting installation time commitments. That meant that we spent too much time waiting.

2012 they installed shower door but it too several week to complete. Since that time I have called them several times for two other jobs. They took weeks to respond, finally came out and took the measurements but never called or returned. Very flaky

I will never use them again. They were never timely at all. They screwed up on their timing and I could not get a hold of them. I got a glass shower door and I thought it was expensive. It was a quality door, really nice.

I emailed, called and emailed and yet no one has returned my messages! Did they go out of business? I see several F reviews in the past months for non contact. If they went under, remove them from the site so potential customers don't waste their time.

Met Kyle at my property. We are replacing all windows and sliders in the house which will total over $10,000 but I cannot get a hold of him after meeting at the property over a month ago. I never received a quote and after over 5 phone calls and messages left I have not heard back.

I called three different people. The other two told me that my doors all had to come off and that they had to change the sliders. That's $175 a door and it came up to $300 a door. I called Slide Rite. I think his name was Kyle. He came out and said that they had to replace two sliders. He said that all the doors needed to be repaired and that the rest will need it in time, but not that day. He was a great guy. I walked away with $350 for all my doors. They were honest. I appreciated that they didn't all have to be done the same day. What are the odds that all thirteen fail at the same time? I appreciate his honesty; that's why I chose him. He wasn't trying to trick me, which I appreciate. They did a great job. The doors all work fine now. When the other sliders go, we are going to call them to come out and fix them.

I sent an request for information about a rather large window and door replacement job on August 18 for my home in Palm Desert. In my message I also included my cell phone number so the contractor could contact me. I have not received a reply via the Angie's List Website or via phone. Very poor customer service and very disrespectful to not even give a reply to my request.

They adjusted it. Went well!

I would not recommend wasting your time with this company. Having found him on Angie's list, I reached out to Kyle to set up an appointment for a bid on some replacement windows and sliders in my house. He was a no-show on the first appointment without the courtesy of a call to cancel (he had mentioned that he was going out of town for the weekend so I suspect he had more compelling options than to ). Having spoke to him originally, he seemed competent so I wanted to give it another shot. I called several more times before I was able to get a hold of him to reschedule. Kyle finally came out and while he took measurements and seemed professional I never heard from him again even after repeated calls requesting an update. No bid, no proposal, nothing. Kyle turned out to be a big waste of time and completely unprofessional. As you know, the lead time on window replacements is several weeks due to ordering etc. An unprofessional organization as this can set your project back months.

They were excellent and the door works beautifully.

On June 18th scheduled an appointment for between 10:00 and 10:30am on Saturday, June 22nd. Did not show or call. I even called him on Saturday at 10:45am to see if he was just running late. Left him a message and no response again. Wasted my whole morning. Our time is just as valuable as his ! He should not get away with treating consumers like this.

When I called for an appointment, the first question from the owner was, and quot;how many doors do you haveand quot;? I should have gotten the hint that they were looking for bigger jobs. Instead I answered that I have four sliders but really only use one regularly and that is the one making noise when opened. We made an appointment for a few days later to see the job and get a quotation. They didn't show up or call at the appointed time slot. After the fact I looked at the other reviews for this service provider and the four negative reviews (out of 18) were for the same issue. This seems to be their standard Method of Operation! Very unprofessional. I sat around for four hours waiting and nothing happened. Now I have to start the whole process again with another company after wasting a week with this frustrating, inconsiderate person.

I am very unhappy with the lack of service of this provider. I will find someone to do the repair work.

We did have a discount coupon for the job and he honor half of the amount for the coupon. He was professional, prompt, courteous and a highly skilled tradesman.

Rep came out to give an estimate to replace 5 windows with double paned low-E windows; said he would call back with a bid and never did. I even called and left a message asking for the bid and he never responded to my voice mail. Business must be booming for him to so rudely walk away from a $2,000 money making opportunity. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

Finding someone to repaire sliding doors from the 1960's wasn't easy.Contractors want to sell you new doors rather than fool with perfectly good older doors. I had some settellng problems with the house that was causing the doors not to slide evenly. The jams were out of square. Klye made the repairs on the spot and fairly quickly. You could tell he had experience dealing with older types of doors. He explained why and what he was doing which I really appreciated. His rate for the work was very fair. he also gave me a good estimate for a new showr door panel which was very competitive.

The team arrived for a quote on time. Was clear about the work needed and provided a written quote. When I called back to offer them the job, they provided a couple of dates and we moved ahead. On work day they were on time and completed a complex project in a day. It was all done and cleaned up nicely after. They don't do screens, but they were clear on that up front. Too bad they don't clean the windows :-). I will be using them again.

He returned my initial call and made an appointment. On the day of the appointment he called at the time he was to arrive and said he would be an hour late. At least he let us know. He performed the work quickly and did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend.

They fixed the bearings right away and the door works better than new now. They had to take measurements for the new screen to have it made. Three weeks later they installed it and it looks and works great.

No response to email for information about a new shower door.

Very positive service. Easy to make appointment, professional approach and performance. Slightly higher than I expected in terms of expense but very pleased with overall services performed.
