Del May has returned promptly my voicemail or text messages to set up appointments for each service call. He has re-confirmed appointments 1-2 days prior to the scheduled time and arrived to my home at the scheduled time. While in my home, he has performed the required work to my complete satisfaction - including twice shortening a long hanging rod on an exterior fan. In addition, he has advised me on the appropriate fan size for a large great room with 15-foot ceilings which he subsequently installed. He has also recommended local lighting specialists for a built-in unit that I described to him He is professional - pleasant, quiet and tidy. I will continue to use Del May Electrics for my household electrical needs.
Description of Work: Del May Electric was referred to me by Fan Diego, Rancho Mirage, to install ceiling fans in my home. He has completed the installation of five interior ceiling fans, two outdoor fans and one entry hall hanging light over the past three months - over five separate service appointments.

Being recommended by the place I purchased a fan, I called Del May, however he was unresponsive in his returning the call. However, the store called him and asked him to call me. He was to install a small fan in my closet, however, upon trying to do so he stated all the parts were not present. I went back to the store where in I was given the correct parts and I tried calling Del May to come back to complete the job. Again he never would call me back so the store again called him and asked him to please respond to me. He did and he came out and installed fan and I paid him a second time. The fan is very wobbly so I've tried calling Del May several times, however, he does not return my call. The store where I purchased the fan stated they would call him to respond to me, however, I told them to forget it that he obviously does hot care about follow up nor customer service. I have made the store and other who wanted an electrician to not contact Del May. Disappointed that a retailer would recommend someone who isn't responsive nor though. UPDATE: Installed 1 overhead fan but will not return to fix as it is wobbling and upon my initial review states I'm unstable and troublemaker. By his untruths it seems he is. 1/4/14 UPDATE THE RESPONSE TO MY REVIEW FROM THIS INDIVIDUAL WAS NOT ONLY UNPROFESSIONAL BUT NOT TRUE. SHOULD SOMEONE CALL HIM BACK TO FIX A PROBLEM HE DEEMS THEM AS UNSTABLE. YES, I HAD A HANDYMAN TRY TO INSTALL WHICH I WAS UPFRONT TO BOTH DEL MAY AND THE STORE. UPON THE FIRST VISIT HE STATED NOT ONLY DID THE SWITCH NOT WORK AND WAS UNSURE IF THE HANDYMAN HAD FRIED IT BUT HE NEEDED A CEILING EXTENDER WHICH WAS NOT IN THE BOX UPON PURCHASING. THIS WAS A FLOOR MODEL AND IT WAS NOT DROPPED IN MY PRESENCE THERE WAS NO ATTITUDE BUT HE OBVIOUSLY DIDN'T LIKE THE STORE CALLING HIM TO PLEASE CALL ME TO ARRANGE AN APPT SINCE HE WOULDN'T CALL TO RESCHEDULE TO FINISH THE JOB. FRANKLY, AS I TOLD THE STORE I BELIEVE THAT HE FELT MY LITTLE FAN WAS NOT IN HIS LEAGUE. SO I'VE GONE ELSEWHERE FOR ALL MY ELECTRICAL OUTDOORS AND INDOORS. I PRESENTLY LIVE IN A LARGE COMMUNITY AND MOVED FROM A MUCH LARGER COMMUNITY SO HIS UNPROFESSIONALISM WILL FOLLOW HIM TO BOTH OF THESE COUNTRY CLUBS.

This customer was a very unstable person who had a handyman try to install her fan before I was contacted. The handyman short circuited the equipment that she said was missing. It also looked as if the fan had been dropped and would not work properly . She rightfully paid for a return trip charge to install the damaged switch that Fan Diego gave her at no charge. I was unresponsive to this customer and told Fan Diego I had no intention of returning to her residence as I considered her a trouble maker.. Anyone reading this review should also read her review history and see that she has a problem with many vendors. Just because I am in the service industry does not mean I will tolerate any customer attitude. Some people are responsible for their own misery. I have been providing excellent service to my customers for many years and will continue to do so.
