John promptly returned my initial phone call, came out in a few days to look at what needed to be done and give me an estimate, and scheduled the work about a week after I approved the estimate. He and his crew arrived on time, did a great job, and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. John was very knowledgeable about the different trees in my yard.

John and his crew were, hands down, the best, most professional and most economical tree service I have ever used. I have a very large yard with more than 20 large mature trees and I have had them trimmed many times. I used Angie's list for the first time for the tree trimming recently and am extremely glad I did. John is knowledgable, friendly, fair and prompt. His price was very fair in comparison to what I had spent in the past. His crew showed up on time and immediately went to work on this large job. They were extremely pleasant, careful and knew exactly what they were doing. The tree work itself was masterful and the clean-up thorough. I would highly recommend John and his crew to anyone.

Best Care Tree Service really lives up to its name. As HOA president/manager of a condo complex, I've used many tree services over the years and John and his guys are the best I've ever hired, bar none. I needed to have the overgrown trees in our common area trimmed. These included carrotwoods, palms, eucalyptus, and malaleucas. The day after I called for an estimate, the owner John came out and walked the property with me. He looked at every tree I needed cut, told me what he would do, and then showed me before and after shots of other work he's done so I had some idea of what our trees would look like when he'd finished. He gave me an estimate on the spot and I hired him the next day. John arrived with his crew a couple of days later, (at the time he said they would arrive) and walked the property with me once more to review what was to be done. Then he introduced me to his crew: Mark, Mike, and Roberto. They began by trimming one of every type of tree in complex then showing it to me and getting my approval before starting on the other trees. No tree service I've used before ever did that. That just cut and I was stuck with the result. Roberto is an artist with a chainsaw. He doesn't just hack limbs. He sculpts trees into works of art. And the ground crew Mark and Mike cleaned up what Roberto cut almost as fast as he could cut it. They were very conscious of not inconveniencing our tenants. And they even cleaned the gutters and knocked down a few hornets' nests for us. John, who said he's usually with the crew, had come down with pneumonia and ended up bedridden. But he still called every morning and every evening to make sure the job was going okay and that I was satisfied. The man was terribly and still made every effort he could to ensure my satisfaction. That's great customer service. Overall I had a fantastic experience with Best Care Tree Service. They showed up on time, every time. They were polite, courteous, and friendly. In fact, a few of our residents commented on how nice they were. The job they did was of superior quality. They took their time and did the job right. They made every attempt to meet any special requests our residents had regarding the trimming. They made my job much easier. And the trees in our complex have never looked better. The best part? Of the four tree services I requested estimates from, Best Care was the least expensive. So I feel we got an incredible value for our money. One last VERY IMPORTANT NOTE: One of the main reasons I hired Best Care is that John is an arborist and it shows in Best Care's work. The last time I needed trees trimmed, I didn't check to see if they're were arborists and it turned out they were just glorified landscapers who left my trees looking like something out of Dr. Seuss. I highly recommend Best Care Tree Service. If you want your trees to look great at a great price, you can't do better than Best Care Tree Service. They are the only tree service I will every use.

I called John for an estimate and was very happy that he was willing to work around my schedule. He came over and walked the whole property and worked up an estimate. We set the date for the project and the crew showed up on time and were very easy to work with.

John and his crew were fantastic. I had quotes from 3 different vendors and John was the most competitive. But what really sold the deal was his professionalism. During the consultation he was patient and knowledgeable, walking me through each of my mature trees, describing what needed to be done, and how his team would complete the work. I especially appreciated his communication and follow-up - a prompt appearance for the appointment, an email with a quote a few days after the consultation, ongoing emails in regard to scheduling the work, and even a pre-appointment phone call the day before the work was to be completed. As for the team that did the work - A+ guys. There work was thorough, efficient, and tidy. I will definitely use this crew again.

He came over for a consult and came out again to do the job. I spent $375 on that work. That job went fine. It took them a little time to schedule because of the weather and he also had some obligations with the city that he had to have done. It took 2 weeks to schedule. The work was fine. It was done in 2 hours and they cleaned up and left it very clean. Everything was fine. He did apologize because he could not come out in the rain.

Wonderful experience from start to finish -- from initial phone call, to each follow-up call, to bid, to job day, to follow up call! Excellent communication. Professional, honest, down-to-earth, always willing to go the extra mile. John was highly recommended to us by a landscaper with whom we are planning to work this summer. Our overgrown oak tree and ficus hedges had made growing a front lawn a near-impossibility. The landscaper said a new lawn would only take root and thrive if we could find a way to get more light into the front yard. Enter John Colizzi and the fantastic Best Care crew... John answers his phone -- which is HUGE. (IF you get his voicemail, you get a call back within minutes.) When he came out to discuss the job and take measurements, he called me from the road, and coordinated with my wacky schedule every step of the way. Afterwards, he called with a very reasonable bid, and we moved forward with scheduling the job. John even called the weekend before the job day to make sure we were all still good to go. John himself was the first to arrive on the day of the job with a written contract in-hand. He took the time to introduce me to his crew, and to walk us all around the site -- double and triple-checking precisely what I wanted, and making sure I understood what 6' hedges would REALLY look like. John and his guys also helped me coordinate with my next door neighbor so that her cars would be out of the way during the hedge-trimming (and they cleaned up on her side of the hedge as well). John stayed until an initial chunk of hedge had come down, and he only left the site after he was certain that I was pleased with the height and that I had realistic expectations for what it would look like when completed. After his departure, the guys spent the better part of the day bringing the hedge down to its new height, tossing trimmings into the chipper as they went, and beautifully and carefully 'opening up' the oak tree. They even cut and stacked what bits of the oak tree were big enough to make decent firewood! At the end of the day, they left everything thoroughly cleaned up, sweeping and raking sawdust, wood-chips and leaves into oblivion, tidying my front porch, and replacing pots that had been moved. I happily paid the guys, and sent them off into rush-hour traffic. I received a call from John that evening, checking in, making sure I was happy with the job. I assured him I was delighted. We will absolutely be using Best Care in the Fall for our yearly seasonal tree-trimming!

John came to the house to look at the trees the same day that I contacted him. He advised us on the health of the trees and the need for spraying. The work was scheduled within 3 days and they arrived on schedule. The orange tree was way overgrown so they cut down the crown about 2 feet, shaped and thinned out the branches. A lemon tree was also shaped and thinned out. They hauled away all of the debris and left the yard clean.

The tree was trimmed well. They did an excellent job of weeding the first portion of my back yard, but their job on the last half was not as thorough as the first. They could have improved their work on the final half of the yard so I was less than totally satisfied. I feel they gave me a very good price for the tree trimming, but the price for the weeding ended up being higher than their original estimate. I feel they were a little overpriced and could have had more competitive pricing on the weeding. They did a nice job of cleaning up the trimmed tree remains. They were very responsive, letting me know when they would be here to work. I might use them again.

He seems like a nice guy, but his estimate was more than double that of another tree service we found on Angie's List, so we will not be using him.

All three tasks were done thoroughly and conscientiously. The flowering pear looks great. The trimming work they did was balanced and clean - just what we wanted. I'm sure it will improve the health of the tree. They removed the mystery tree including the stump and were careful with their trimming of the Magnolia to take off just enough to keep it from damaging our sunshade but not enough to take away shade from our back yard. Great work overall and we'll definitely be calling John when it's time to do the fall trimming of the Mulberry and a the large fir tree we also have in the back yard. 2/2/11 - The work on the Mulberry and the Fir tree was superb. It was extremely windy so branches and needles were flying everywhere, and John's team left the area as clean as it was when they arrived. Again the price was extremely reasonable. We have a lot of wires running through our back yard since the power lines are run behind the house instead of down the street. John's team did a great job of bringing down large branches without any damage to the power lines or to structures underneath the tree. We will definitely be calling him again when the trees need attention in the future.

I got bids from three people on Angie's List. (one of them came by and for some reason never heard from him again). Another person was pretty close bid-wise but didn't come across anywhere near as well as John. John's a straight-shooter and he and his team were punctual, nice and hard-working. Phone calls were always quickly returned and he was always where he was supposed to be when he was supposed to be. The trees looked nicely pruned/manicured. Certainly not a hack job. Good price, good job, nice guy.... what are you waiting for?

I was recommended Best Care Tree Service through a close friend's mother who swore by them. An enormous fruitless Mulberry tree fell apart (that's right... split in half of its own accord due to top heaviness, extreme dryness and center rot) in my backyard on a Saturday night at about 10:30 pm. It took out a power feed to the house and communications lines which were entangled in the branches after few years of mostly uncontrolled growing. Half of the tree was left standing, hanging precariously over a fence, power lines and part of a neighbor's yard. I called John on a Sunday night. He showed up to my house to give me an estimate first thing Monday morning. After we chatted and talked about the fallen tree, two more stumps and two more trees that needed to be trimmed in the front yard, he called his guys and they were there by 11:00 am to start work. John's two guys, Saul and his brother Gabriel, showed up and got straight to work. These two guys are total professionals and made sure that nothing got out of hand. Everything was cleaned up every day after they were finished and I heard not one peep from the backyard neighbors about debris in their yard. The two trees in the front yard got a trimming that looks symmetrical and tasteful. The look a little sparse, but that will mean a healthy and strong tree in the future and I am completely happy with the way they look. The estimate and time frame John talked about were spot on. He even took the time to find the name of one of the tree's by my driveway that no one else had been able to put a name with. I would definitely recommend John's crew for someone else and I will be using John's services as long as I can.

John and his crew are the consumate professionals. First of all he returned my call promptly, and the initial appointment was made without any waste of time. John was five minutes early for our first appointment. I have a property with many and a varied aray of trees on it. I was impressed with Johns depth of knowledge and his obvious care and concern for the trees. It was very clear that both the trees and my property were in capeable and professional hands. I had five extremely overgrown Eucalyptus trees to be trimmed. Two huge Ash trees, one to be trimmed, the other to be removed. The Ash tree to be removed was not only entangled in the power lines, it was also terribly overhanging the house. Some Hillside clearence and shrubbery removal was alos to be done, but the trees were the lion share of the job, and what most concerned me. On the day the job was to commence once again John and his employees were ten to fifteen minutes early. They were neat, courteous, and ready to work. John had estimated 3 to 4 days for the completion of the job. And just as he had been with every other aspect of the work to be done, he was right on. Each day they were on time and very professional. The Eucalyptus trees had 4 to 5 years of overgrowth on them, however "Best Care Tree Service" made what looked like easy work of them. Once completed, those Eucalyptus trees were gorgeous. They were lite, even sparce, and yet very semetrical and shapley. Those trees have never looked so good. Both Ash trees were handled with the same professionalism and care. But what most impressed me was how they executed the removal of the Ash tree that was overhanging the house and entangled in the power lines. They used a system of ropes and pullies to remove the very large limbs that were overhanging the house with such precision I'd never seen anything like it. Johns climbers are experienced beyond belief! After the removal of the tree was complete they brought in their stump grinder, and in a matter of hours it was as though a tree that had been on my property longer than the 35 years I have been here, never existed. It was gone, stump and all! Needless to say, the remainder of the job went like clock work, and Best Care finished the job well within the time frame John had given me. Over the years I have used many different tree companies to take care of the trees on my property. However, as far as I am concerned "Best Care Tree Service" will be the last tree company I will ever use. If you aer looking for a tree care company that will get the job done in a clean and professional manner. While domonstrating care, concern, and respect for your trees and your property. John and "Best Care Tree Service" are the way to go!!!!

John is 'on time' and arrives prepared to work the planned job. His crew are english speaking and professional in conduct and dress (yes, they have uniforms). All the work is done in the stated time and the work area is clean when finished. The trees look great. The planted ones have always lived and grown and John is accessible by phone for follow-up advice.

Because I have a large amount of delicate plants beneath high and spacious trees, my initial concern was that they be preserved during the tree trimming process. The end result was no damage occurred over the several days of this labor-intensive job and I felt very comfortable with the employees and was grateful of their consideration.
