I do not recommend Alansi's Plumbing and if I could give 0 stars I would. I initially called to have my dishwasher replaced. When Yehia, the owner, came to replace the old dishwasher with the new one, HE PUT LARGE SCRATCHES IN OUR HARDWOOD FLOOR by dragging either the old or new unit on the ground. He did not use protective coverings of any sort. Trying to mitigate the entire process has been a nightmare because the owner is not responsible or accountable. I will update this post if this issue is resolved and Yehia takes responsibility for the damages caused. At the moment, all he responded to us asking him to fix the scratches was "good luck".

We got 3 estimates. The estimates went up to $1,200 and they were on the lower end. They were very good but my husband felt that all the prices were high. They were really polite and did a good job. They were nice and they weren’t weird or anything. As a woman I would call them again. The only thing that bothered me was the huge discrepancy in prices. We would refer them.

I am of the opinion that it's good to know a good plumber. Before Alansi's, I couldn't really say that I knew one. Here are the events that led up to this conclusion: In the evening on December 2nd, I discovered that our water heater was leaking. From the looks of it, the water heater needed to be replaced but I recalled that I had the water heater replaced recently (about 5 years ago) and that I had sprung for a heater with a 12 year warranty. Since it was late at night, I decided to stay home from work the next day and take care of it in the morning. The morning of December 3rd, I started looking at reviews on Yelp! for different plumbers. I actually didn't come across Alansi's directly. I had called another plumber who told me that they didn't do water heaters but he could refer me to someone who does. He gave me Yehia's cell phone number and I called him. I called Yehia and got a quote over the phone. I told him that I would have to call around some more and get some more quotes and he was totally fine with it. During the process of calling other plumbers and water heater installers, I found out that my heater was still under warranty from GE. One guy told me that GE was very hard to deal with in terms of trying to get them to replace/fix heaters under warranty. Since my family really needed hot water, I was prepared to just replace the water heater and not claim the warranty from GE. Alansi's turned out to have the most reasonable price so I called Yehia again and sheduled for him to come out. He told me he couldn't get here till 2:00pm because he was on another job. At 2:00pm, Yehia arrived. I told him the situation and told him that the old water heater was still under warranty but because I really wanted to have hot water by the end of the day, I was willing to just pay for a new water heater and not bother with the warranty. He actually recommended that I take advantage of the warranty because it would save me a lot of money. Right then and there, he called GE for me and got them to authorize a straight exchange. GE told him to bring the old water heater to the local Home Depot and get a brand new one to put in. Yehia then called Mauro (one of his employees) and asked him to come take the water heater to Home Depot and replace it for me. Anyway, to make a long story short, Mauro arrived, took out the old water heater, drove it to Home Depot and came back with a brand new water heater and installed it. I had hot water by the end of the day and I didn't have to pay as much as I thought I had to. Yehia went above and beyond. He very well could've just sold me a brand new water heater but he went through the trouble of calling GE for me. Needless to say, I will be calling Alansi's again for any other plumbing work that I need done.

What a terrific experience to resolve a bad situation. Alansi' friendly office staff scheduled the service. Received phone call prior to plumber arriving onsite to ensure timing was still good. Had been quoted approximately one hour for work. The work actually took 1 hour 45 minutes (drains / pipes more clogged than anticipated); was only charged for one hour!!! Previous plumber used was $125.00 per hour. Alansi's extremely affordable at $85.00. A significant hole at the base of an old outside pipe was also found during the course of the work. Alansi's recommended that it be replaced (no pressure, simply pointing out an issue with a physical structure), and described what would be involved. I also had this external drain / vent pipe replaced. Work excellently performed. Quick, courteous, and also below the original cost estimate. (Total cost to dig down to main sewer line, cut out existing metal pipe, replace with new PVC, ensure gaps to outside and under sink secured, cleanup). (Total cost just over $300.00)
