Description of Work: Used Carl for many years...Looked at tree's that needed removal, and, TLC: proper pruning, watering schedules, treatment or feeding-- his diagnosis and treatment plans worked! I appreciated that he did not suggest pricey treatment plans on tree's that had reached the end of their natural lifespan. Crew did truly artful pruning job--took a large ugly, chuncky Pittie tree and made it look like living sculpture! Now, it's my favorite tree! Suggested just the right location for placement of pathway on steep hillside location--great job! Gave a great referrals for landscape architects.

Description of Work: He came out to inspect a tree that looked like it was dying. He looked at the different trees in the yard and explained different things to me. He explained what needed to be done. We wanted some input and we were not sure if we needed to remove a tree.

+ -1 moreCarl Mellinger came out the same day I called, though he does not usually do consultations on Saturday. When he was going to be a bit late, he called and came about a half-hour later, as promised. We reviewed all the trees on our property, each of which he diagnosed, and we talked about the possibilities for each. He was very knowledgeable and patient with our questions. He was easy to talk to and and also recommended colleagues he knew for the landscape design work we are also looking to do. We do not have the estimate for the tree work yet but found the experience to be very satisfactory.
Description of Work: We called the company to get a consultation to evaluate the condition of several of our trees and possible strategies for bringing them back to health, and to ask advice on landscaping as well. After the consultation, we also asked for an estimate for the tree work involving several large trees with various problems, some tree removal, a ficus hedge that is doing poorly .
