He said he would look for a pump because it would be quite costly. I found another price that was around six hundred. I found a new plumber and he checked everything out when he finished he started it back up and their was no problem. So I ended up not using them at all. I have been using them for many years and have never had a problem till this time.
Description of Work: Replaced a faucet in my home. They unplugged something and said I need a circulating pump.

Our furnace was not starting periodically. The initial service was to adjust the pressure at the gas valve at the furnace. This did not fix the problem and they were called again. On the second visit, after an hour of fiddling, the technician said there was a fault at the gas regulator feeding the whole house. Since we have two furnaces, I pointed out that this seemed unlikely. However, he insisted that it was the problem and that the gas company had to be called. Since he was already there, I asked him to replace the two air filters, normally $10 each at a hardware store. He said that, according to the fixed price in his rate book, it would cost me $90 even though he was already there. So, I declined. However, the two attempts to fix the furnace cost me $450. I called another heating contractor the next day. Their technician promptly replaced the gas valve in the furnace which resolved the problem. Total cost for parts and labor was $275. I have never used Wilson again.
Description of Work: Repair malfunctioning forced air gas furnace which would not turn on at times.

I got tired of trying and failing to snake out the kitchen drain, so I called in the pros. I actually called Rooter-something, but they sent Wilson's. A guy arrived after about an hour, ($50 consultation fee). He said it would be $169.90 to snake it out to the main. And rolled the $50 into that. He was friendly, knew his stuff. He gave me a lot of tips for avoiding and clearing future blockages. He ran into two blockages using a professional electric snake, and had the drain cleared quickly. Tested the drainage by filling the sink and taking out the stopper twice. The drain was very clear, and it's 40 year-old cast-iron. Left it cleaner than he found it. Applied a $25 discount. I paid $144.90. I haven't paid a plumber in a long time, so I don't know how competitive the price is. Therefore, my C rating for price is merely a guess. Takeaway points: speedy, successful, left it clean, friendly, $144.90.
Description of Work: Snaked out a clogged kitchen sink drain. He had to take off the trap and another elbow, use an electric snake, reassemble, check, and clean up.

We had insurance so we just paid our deductible. They were clean. They looked presentable and they did a good job. We most definitely would use them again.

We have used Wilson's when necessary for the last 15 years or so. They have replaced our hot water heater twice, the first one when we were in the house about 5 years, the last one last year. They have fixed and replaced bathroom fixtures, replaced our furnace, and fixed sink leaks and installed a garbage disposal. Their work has always been done efficiently, with reasonable price quotes. Politeness and courtesy were evident in the young mens manner. I am totally happy with their professionalism and efficiency.
Description of Work: Came to find an under sink leak. Found it right quick, fixed it , cleaned up water and left.

I can't really speak about the company overall, but the gentleman who came to install it was excellent. So, I guess by proxy they probably are a really good company.

Description of Work: They came to check a leak in the kitchen and I asked for a few other things to get fixed. The person told me it would get back to me with an estimate shortly - no charges, but no fixes either. After one week and no news, I left messages othe cell and office numbers. two weeks later, I spoke to a persoat the office who guaranteed a response in 24 hours. After 4 weeks and no answer back, I canceled the services. the worst customer response service experinece.

I asked the young man from Wilsons to check the adjacent bathroom and he walked in an took a quick look around and said there was no leak. Then he looked in the adjacent laundry room and said there was no leak. I paid my $38 and he left.
Description of Work: I had called about a leak in my mobile home in Seaside, where I saw actual mushrooms growing and there was a musty odor. A young man came and looked in my bedroom and told me he couldn't find the leak. Then I called A&R Plumbing and they came out and found the leak and fixed it (it was in the adjacent bathroom). Then they checked under my kitchen sink and found evidence of leakage, fixed it (and didn't charge me anything).

Description of Work: A simple drain snake was all we needed. Wilson's couldn't even do that. The guy showed up without any attachments for his snake. He kept trying to tell me it was something else (which we had already ruled out), which would require much more work and cost around $700. There is no working camera within their entire fleet, so he couldn't verify his theory, which was sketchy at best. He kept playing games and insisted I had to pay the $150 minimum fee even though he had accomplished absolutely NOTHING!! He won. I have no idea why, but I paid him. They were shady from the first phone call, just focused on getting as much money out of me as possible. A neighbor came over the next day with his own motorized snake (with attachment!). Even though the snake was smaller than the one the Wilson's Plumbing had, my neighbor cleared it out within 5 minutes. I bought him pizza and beer for $30. Wilson's Plumbing is what gives plumbers a bad name. Stay far away.

While they are charging you for their services they are very professional and courteous. Once you question their charges, they do not respond.
Description of Work: I used Wilsons three times in the past nine months. On the second call, the tech replaced two faucets in the master bath. Some time later, there was an unrelated problem with the water backing up in the sinks. Wilsons come out again and recommended a separate line be put in for the discharge from the washing machine. The estimate was $1500. He said it would take two men all day because they needed to dig a trench to the sewer line. We scheduled the call. They arrived on time at 9:00 AM. They were done at 10:45 AM. They did not need to dig a trench. They ran the line attached to the back of the house and 12 inches down to the sewer line. The tech did not realize the sewer line ran right next to the house. He also didn't realize it was a very simple solution. I asked if he was going to reduce my bill. He said no. I called the office over two weeks and never got a call back. I wrote George Wilson III a letter asking him to contact me so we could discuss this. He never called or even responded to my letter. They expect future business?

We called in the evening (they advertise 24 support) three times, and never received a call back. The next day, an early morning call back was received, and an appointment set. The tech showed up on time. After quickly and correctly diagnosing a faulty gas control valve, the heater inspection began. The tech stated that the heat exchanger "had a hole" and carbon monoxide was leaking into our house, endangering our lives. The tech stated that a new heater was required, and a quote of $6500.00 was given. Also, the tech stated he could not do a temp repair due to the danger to our lives. A PG&E tech came and confirmed there was no hole, and no carbon monoxide danger at all. He also effected temporary repairs, giving us heat again. The tech also made several inappropriate comments to the lady of the house. Three other HVAC firms confirmed the gas valve failure, and also a thermostat not operating properly. A call was made to Wilson's to complain about the service and tech, but no follow up was received. The gas valve was eventually replaced (by another firm) for less than $400.00.
Description of Work: Check for cause of heater failure, inspect heating system.
