As noted in ratings, they met our expectations and did a good job for the overall move.

Sheeler's estimator provided us with a 'not to exceed' estimate, which she explained was required by law for moves under a certain distance. This type of estimate, as well the news about the regulations, was not provided by other moving companies that came to do estimates. Sheeler was the low bidder, which made me nervous until I read their customers' rave reviews on the internet. We had saved most of the moving boxes from our prior move and Sheeler's crew used those boxes first, which saved us more money. The estimation was for a two day move, partly due to the packing services and partly due to the extra bulky items (piano, refrigerator, washer/dryer). We asked the crew to be sure to set up our bed in the new house by the end of the first day so we wouldn't have to sleep in a motel. Even though the packing services took most of the first day, they gladly accommodated us. Sheeler's crew was everything we could expect. They were prompt, courteous and professional. They carefully packed and moved everything, including the baby grand piano. Before leaving they reassembled any item that had to be disassembled for the move. They even rearranged the living room furniture on the second day after we realized our first layout wouldn't work. And they returned a week later to take away all the moving boxes for recycling. We would gladly use Sheeler Moving and Storage again, and heartily recommend them

The two gentlemen moving my property were excellent. The move was challenging because of the need to carry a large heavy desk and sofa up a narrow stairway. They went out of their way to ensure the items made it safely. The only casualty was a broken foot on the desk. All in all a minor loss considering the potential for damage.

I set up a move date with Sheeler after talking with them on the phone and having an in-home estimate. Of the three companies I had chosen to give estimates, they came in with the lowest price. They took an inventory for what I wanted moved and gave me a price. On the move day they called to let me know they were on the way and arrived on time. The move went very well and was completed before the time set on the do- not exceed limit on the contract. So my bill was under the contract amount by $100.00. No bad at all! During the move they were very accommodating and helpful. I would use them again.

So far, so good. The initial contact call was made and an appointment was scheduled almost immediately. I spent the next 2 weeks packing and then scheduled a re-visit to confirm my inventory of boxes and sizes. Order of Service is signed and now it's a matter of the driver and packers doing their jobs, me driving my car cross-country and my belongings arriving in the condition they were packed. (Sheelers contracts to Wheatons for cross-country, so I'm hoping I'm in good hands.)

The overall effort was excellent and all of the team members were very courteous and friendly. All the team members completed whatever we asked them to do or redo no matter how trivial and constantly asked us if we needed anything. During the unloading phase, Mr. Sheeler stopped by to see how the effort was proceeding. Without a doubt, this was the best moving experience that we have ever had and I would use and recommend this company in the future.

Mark, the estimator arrived at the appointed time. He was very friendly and helpful on giving tips. He gave an estimate for our Sunday move at no extra cost. The movers, Peter Lloyd, and Jose arrived on time. They were friendly and professional and packed the truck with no problems. We met them at our new home and they took their time placing everything exactly where we wanted it. They even moved a couple things twice and seemed happy to do it. All in all it was an excellent experience as moving experiences go!!!

The movers arrived on time with an estimated three days to pack and load. We had more items than anticipated so it took and extra day. Our items completely filled the huge semi truck trailer. We had contracted for a move-in date in Idaho on June 20, but due to delays in closing escrow, we had to ask them to hold off on the delivery for 5 or 6 days. They were very cooperative and said they would hold off and would not charge us any extra for the delay. This meant our things would have to sit on the truck and the truck/trailer rig would not be available for them to use for other customers during the busiest time of year. Our move in date slipped again until we finally closed escrow and allowed them to unload the truck at our new home in Idaho. Since the total time the truck was idle was 10 days, we agree to pay an additional $900 for storage. This was calculated as 6 days storage at $150 per day, We felt this was very fair under the circumstances. We only had a few minor complaints with the movers: ..The packers didn't always adequately describe what was in the boxes they packed. ..When unloading the packed boxes into our new home, they often stacked them in such a way that we could not read the descriptions of what the boxes contained. ..The packers sometimes packed items from different rooms into a single box, causing confusion on our part when looking for items in the boxes. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience with the company - both the office personnel and the packers and movers. The driver, who was the one in charge of the packers and movers, was very good at keeping the process moving, packing the truck, keeping an accurate inventory, and overall supervision of the move. We would recommend this company to anyone considering a move.

The agent, Jeff, brought me boxes and tape to my house so I could pack my things myself. He followed through and called when everything arrived to my new home. The price was very reasonable too as I had received quotes as high as 9-10k. They did a great job in helping move my piano and very expensive furniture without any scratches. They picked everything up on Thursday, and they were ready to deliver by Sunday.
