+ -1 moreAgain, I did not hire Dan yet (must do some more planning for the job), but I was extremely happy to find someone so eager to help and knowledgeable.
Description of Work: I only called for an initial inquiry and Dan was extremely generous with his knowledge and experience. I received 10 minute detailed lesson on concrete slabs and foundation. He also gave me a very competitive verbal estimate for the job. I have not used Dan's services yet, but I can already give him a great score for his passion and professionalism. It makes me happy to find people who love their work!

Description of Work: Dan removed old poured in place concrete stepping stones, graded for extended patio and walkway. Worked with us to match color. Laid forms, filled in sand base, installed rebar. Next day his crew poured and finished the concrete. An excellent experience. I would recommend him to anyone. Don Iwerks

+ 0 moreDan is a nice guy & a delight to work with. And best of all, he is directly involved in the actual work, overseeing all the details. I can't stress how great it is to have a hands-on contractor do your work! He is prompt and came when promised. His prices are very reasonable and the quality high. The only thing that I am not delighted with is the cracks that have formed in the slab. Yes, I know that they are unavoidable with all concrete and to be expected. But because the color is on the surface only, the cracks expose the gray concrete beneath. I am mentioning this so there are no surprises. If you are turned off by all the ugly,repetitious looking stamped concrete out there, check out Dan's photobook for ideas. Then go look at some of his past work. Lots of contractors out there do stamped concrete, but Dan really is the best.
Description of Work: Thanks to Dan, I have the patio of my dreams! He has his own unique techniques & skills that raise stamped concrete to an art form. At first glance, my patio and walkway look like genuine flagstone. Each "stone" is individually hand shaped and grouted. The varigated color effect he acheived is beautiful & compliments the house perfectly. The work he did was: widen my driveway, put in a walkway along the side of the house & a large patio in the back.
