Did a good job

They did a great job. They used quality material and we were really pleased. We haven't had any problems. They cleaned up afterwards and were professional. The priced seemed good as well.

Shortly after moving into our home we discovered that a gas-burning fireplace had a gas leak. Since we had a home warranty we contacted them, and they in turn contacted Watkins Plumbing for us. The technician arrived about 20 minutes later and immediately identified the problem and corrected it. The amount we paid was the standard $60 fee for using the home warranty company. We were very impressed with the response time and service provided. The technician was very friendly and professional. We would definitely recommend him and will use him in the future for any plumbing needs.

I liked the fact they responded fast. I was well aware of the cost for the service although I thought the price included the replacement of the water faucet knobs. Since they were not replaced I thought the price would have been a little cheaper. I provided the kitchen faucet which we had purchased at a local Lowes Store for $160.00. Since we supplied the faucet, the plumber is not liable if the faucet has a malfunction. Our faucet has a leak for some reason and when I called back to describe the problem I was told it sounded as though it was a faucet issue. So without having to pay a second service call we chose to live with the issue. I would recommend that if you chose to have plumbing done with any plumber and you buy the replacement parts ETC. make sure it is clear what they warranty or use the option of buying your faucet through them.

He gave excellent service, prompt and reasonable prices. He even came out on a Saturday when I called him.

They are fast and efficient. They are reasonably priced. We feel like we have our own personal plumber, because they always Eric to do the work. They always give us an estimate, and check in if it looks like it might be more. We've been very pleased with everything that they've done.

The technician was on time to give us the estimate; the price was similar to other estimates we got. He was on time for the installation and cleaned up after he was done.

They were fast, did a fabulous job and they used great products. They were professional, I liked the kid that came out and we had a good experience with them. I would use them again. Considering everything we had done I would give them an A on price and they did a fine job.

I came home from work on a Monday to a dead water heater. Based on reviews here on Angie's List I contacted Watkins Plumbing. The owner took the call, asked me about my current unit, and said that he could have a technician there the next day to replace it. He gave me a very good estimate over the phone and promised to call the next day to confirm the installation time. I received a call around 11:00am on Tuesday that they would be at my house by 2:00pm. The technician arrived around 1:30, removed the old unit, installed a new AO Smith unit, cleaned up and was finished by 3:00pm.

They are very nice people, and are very professional. They come in, do their job, and leave. Everything is working fine and I will use them again if I need to.

I am satisfied with all aspects of their services. I heard about them through a friend.

Watkins Plumbing came out promptly, on time, and were upfront on their costs. They were unable to snake the drain, but it was no fault of their own- the house turned out to have many, many issues, including a virtually inaccessible trap :) He gave it a valiant effort, but I appreciated that he stopped when he did as I had not yet purchased the home and didn't want to spend more money than I needed to. I appreciated that they were thorough in their inspection, even finding some issues the home inspector had missed, and I would have felt confident using their services had I continued on in my purchase of the home. Although I did end up cancelling the purchase of this home, I still feel lucky as I found out AHEAD of time the mountain of issues I would have faced had I gone through with it!

Small family owned operation; staff knowledgeable. While a clogged drain sounds simple, this really wasn't - This was like cement in the pipes that had to be gouged out, flushed, gouged out again! Price was a little high, in the payor's (landlord) opinion, but it was because the work should have been done years ago. We have a drain system with VERY little angle for drainage and years of accumulation had built up. Additionally, access to the drain was, of course under the house through mud ~~ and the prior owners had jury-rigged some kind of access/insulation issues that made it even more difficult than it should have been. They arrived on time, were clear about what they were doing, etc. They did have to leave and get a "bigger, badder" tool for the job, but they returned when they said they would, finished the job, cleaned up after themselves, and allowed landlord/homeowner to be billed for the job directly. Unfortunately, the drain clogged up again about three days later. They came out again same day when called, re-gouged the line, flushed it through again, and we've not had problems again since (about 4 months now). Works better than ever (lived here 7 years! They said that sometimes happens due to the quantity of buildup in a case like ours, freeing up one area allows for movement of any other guck in the lines to move and re-accumulate somewhere else. No charge for the second visit.

Watkins had a technician in the Yuba City area and the response was much quicker than I expected. The technician was very professional, provided additional information regarding the plumbing in the house and coordinated estimates for additional work we have in mind. Friendly, responsive, professional: good people to work with, and the estimate seemed competitive.

Watkins Plumbing was asked to come to our home by a contractor we have used in the past. That morning we discovered that we had a hot water leak under our home, in the crawl space. They arrived within one (1) hour of being called, and went to work finding the problem, testing the fitting, and replacing the section of pipe (after I agreed to the job & price). I called the office and was given the senior discount when asked. Given the "emergency" nature of the situation, I was very pleased with that. The work was completed in less than one hour, and I was offered the failed section of pipe. The only explanation I could get for the failure was that our water pressure might have been too high, which Erik tested, and adjusted, at no additional charge. When the work was complete, he had tested the line twice to insure that the soldering had held, turned back on the water and hot water heater. Despite having to work in the crawl space (approx. 4"), he was neat and cleaned up after himself, leaving no evidence of the water or red clay. My only reason for the slight downgrade in professionalism is that I wish he had volunteered that the leak has caused some mold build up on the insulation in the area. I had already called another vendor to review the slab/construction/insulation for integrity after the leak was discovered. I just wish Erik had volunteered that this is something I should get checked out. This vendor confirmed that the repair was done to the best standard, and that everything was in order.
