Technician was Matt, and this is the 2nd time I have used Lake Appliance for repairs and the second time with Matt as a technician. He quickly determined the issue. Quickly found part costs and wrote out a written estimate and gave it to me, retained an electronic copy for business records, and set up an agreeable repair date before leaving. Even offered a suggestion on a older freezer that had been not fully functioning.

From booking the appointment online to the thoroughly professional service from my technician, Roy, it was a perfect experience. Roy was on time, friendly, explained what was wrong, and replaced the dryer's heating element. Technician was on time, called before he came, professional, communicative, returned at no cost the following week when we needed follow up instructions (that could have been handled over the phone).

Service technician was punctual, friendly, and capable. The service took about one hour, for which the charge was just under $200, which is not a bargain. Company was good about communication and delivered as expected.

Repairman said electrical circuit board needed replacing. Suggested the price of replacing that part was so high that putting the money toward a new machine seemed wiser. He gained nothing from the suggestion since he was not part of an appliance retail concern.

Technician was great- friendly, professional, and explained what he was doing and showed me why the problem might have occurred. I so appreciated that he showed me how to try and prevent the problem from happening again and showed me what's what on the appliance.

I called on Monday afternoon to schedule an appointment for my LG refrigerator repair. The scheduler was friendly and professional. The tech, Rich, arrived the next day on time! The Lake Appliance technician, Paul, was very professional and courteous. Paul informed me the compressor was quite expensive but felt that GE may well replace the item per the owner's manual. I fully expected to pay for a house call, approximately $90.00 and was not charged. I am so impressed with Lake Appliance that I will not hesitate to call them first should I have another appliance fail. A day earlier I had another appliance repair company to the house. The technician was polite, but totally unprofessional. He didn't even have a step-ladder and asked me for a chair so that he could check the refrigerator. He then misdiagnosed the repair, stating that I needed an electronic board for the repair. I looked over his estimate to repair the refrigerator and balked at the $390.00 estimate for labor to install the electronic board. This was in addition to the $400 price he wanted for the board. I questioned the suggested charges. The warranty offered by this company was 'weak' compared to what Lake Appliance would have offered. The competitor also told me that he would give us an additional 5% discount on labor if I would write a 5 star review for his company! TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL I paid the technician for the service call and walked him to the door. Good riddance!! I have the utmost faith in Lake Appliance and will not hesitate to call them should I need appliance repair. Believe me, I will share my positive feelings with friends and neighbors towards Lake Aopliance. I will also share my negative feelings towards the competitor well as the name of the competitor. I will also write reviews on YELP for both companies.

When I called this company, they immediately asked if I was in an RV park, which I told them I was not. In fact, I live in a 1,200 Sq. ft. double wide mobile home. The company immediately told me that they do not service mobile homes because their technicians said there was no room to work in them. I don't find this quite believable, given the size of my home. I was very disappointed that they would not offer to at least come out and assess the situation before denying me services.

Have used Lake before and completely satisfied with the knowledge and professionalism of Tom C the tech for the Auburn area. Today (11-25-16) he was back to address a different problem with my 18+ year old double ovens. He accurately diagnosed the problem but the parts needed to effectively repair the unit are no longer available. Tom provided an in depth analysis of the issue and provided good insight as to our next step. I recommend this company to anyone that needs a no nonsense honest service provider.

They had someone come out the same day within the hour, just what we needed. Unfortunately it made more sense for us to buy a new refrigerator.

It only took several days from scheduling until the appointment. The tech was on time and phoned 30 minutes prior to arrival as promised. Fast, thorough, and knowledgeable, and kept the kitchen work area neat and clean. We were well satisfied with the price. Now that the extended warranty is gone it is good to find quality and reasonably priced repair so maybe we can squeeze a few more years of use out of this troublesome Samsung refrigerator. Although I cannot help but believe that the well deserved death for this appliance is not far off.

The initial repair - replacement of the circuit board - did not fix the problem adequately. Two more attempts were made, and when those efforts also failed, every bit of my money was refunded promptly.
