They did a great job, and they were able to fix the problem on our air conditioning.

The guy called me back right away, which was nice. He told me he was booked up for the next two weeks, which was not to nice. Can't say I fault him, it is a really busy time for AC people. But I found another guy who was able to come out the same day, Guess who I will call next time.

Showedup 1.5 hrs late. Blamed it on dirty filter. Didn't replace filter. Did t do general service on condenser and blower. Still have a cool drainage issue. Lazy wanting to end his day. Lazy.. wish I had not been at work allowing 90 wasted dollars.

Rick is a gem: knowledgeable, efficient with a great sense of humor. We had an appointment reminder call the day before and Rick arrived within the 3 hour window. He recommended I have the air con part of the system cleaned and serviced next spring.

They were very professional, on time, neat and clean, they explained everything that they were doing, and completed their work on time. I would highly recommend their services to any residential owner.

They are brothers and have been in business since the early 80's.

Great job by Rick, the team at the office Gary and Joanna are consummate professionals in an industry that has earned its jaded reputation. Very pleased as Sierra Pacific wanted to just change the unit. They've lost my business and Golden Aire has earned it! Excellent work, but honest people!

They come out twice a year. It has been excellent.

The problem was quickly diagnosed, a replacement part was in the truck, system fixed for a reasonable cost. As part of the service the two systems, one for each floor, were checked out and found in good working order. I would certainly use this company again.

Great work, provided a good explanation of unit choices, competitive pricing, all installers friendly. Only hitch was thermostat installed in wrong place but no problem coming back out to move it to the agreed spot. Good cleanup.

This company did more than we expected at a price no one could have predicted. We will go back to Golden Aire into the future because they are pros, trustworthy and very well run.

Ken, the owner, came out and did the estimate personally. We decided we needed to get 3 estimates and asked the others to quote the same equipment Ken did. We had an old Carrier system which had given us no end of trouble installed by one of the big HVAC companies in town which I will never use again. We opted for a top of the line Trane system this time. Ken worked with us to adjust his bids to quote the same equipment that the others were quoting. We had Ken come out to do some duct sealing and cold air return enlargement a few years back, so we went to him first. Ken was easy to work with, on time and provided the lowest bid, so we went ahead. The crew showed up on time and installed the system in one day despite allowing for two. They did a thorough job, cleaned up after themselves and were very courteous and considerate. When we had the independent duct seal test done, the tester indicated that he was always happy to inspect their work, since it was consistently well done. When the county inspector came to sign off the permit, he seemed to feel the same way. This is a family company who consistently do good honest work and are easy to work with. We signed up for Golden Aire's maintenance program and they extended the labor warranty to 10 years. One of the other bids we got was from a larger company that sends us postcards pretty regularly even though we have not used them in the past. Their bids were 25-35% higher for the same equipment and they were a real pain to deal with, just getting the bids.

It went well. I was surprised at how much these systems cost. We had 6 estimates, and Golden Aire was near the lowest. I appreciated Ken's attention to the specific needs in our house. He recommended custom improvements. The install was quick and scheduling was easy. The County inspector was impressed with their work.

We found Golden Aire when looking for a company that installs Rheem HVAC systems. Golden Aire installs other brands as well and we received quotes on those as well, but we were partial to Rheem as our house had a Rheem system that worked well and surprisingly efficiently for 30 years (the second system is still running as I'm writing this: 30 years and counting!). Ken Golden, the owner of Golden Aire, came to our house for a quote and impressed me right away with his knowledge, honesty and professionalism. Have him come give you a quote just to see the difference between his expertise and the salespeople that other companies send out to do their bids! His price was comparable to that of other companies who were pricing out less expensive brands. When his crew came out to do the job, they were also very courteous, professional and punctual. They replaced some incorrectly installed ducts at no cost and finished the job cleanly and exactly as promised. The office, also extremely courteous and professional, followed up with me to do the testing for the airconditioning a few months later (as it was installed in winter and couldn't be tested) and scheduled the inspection for me. We are definitely giving them a call if and when the other system goes out.

We discovered our air conditioning was not cooling (less than 10 degrees difference coming out of the vents) and called during a hot spell to have it serviced. We got an appointment for between 9 AM and noon 2 days later, not bad under the circumstances. Gary called the day before leaving a message to confirm the appointment. Rick showed up half an hour early, which was great... no waiting around for the appointment. He checked out the system and discovered a small leak in the coils. Since the system was 17 years old, he discussed options. The cost of Freon has been going up, so it could cost several hundred to refill it. The system was at the end of its life expectancy and had been riddled with issues. It was an early model Carrier which had been known for leaks and other issues. Since it looked like a slow leak and we could not do an install any time soon, I suggested that we just refill it and look at replacement at a later time. He seemed to think that it should hold for a year. He had been out about 3 years before to refill it, so that seemed like a good estimate. He gave a rough estimate for a new system and we will call at a later time to get a complete estimate. I appreciated his punctuality and professionalism. We got an honest assessment and not a lot of pressure to buy a new system. This is an honest company which does good work and we will be sure to get a bid from them when we need to replace the system.

Rick, the service man, fixed our AC that was not working due to a "bug" shorting out the part that starts the AC. The company will be mailing us a bill for the service. In addition, we agreed that any other maintenance (checking freon level, replacement of filter, other) that is needed will be postponed for one to two months for out convenience. This will allow better scheduling with the company considering our needs at this time and the companies ordering some special parts that were noted on this visit needing replacement.

They did a great job. Showed up when they said they would. I had tried to fix it myself by resetting the two rollout switches. They reset the rollout switch at the top of the unit that I did not know was there (that's why you call a professional). They also cleaned a blower. Didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. Good service, straight forward and honest. I now have a "go to" HVAC company.

We just had Golden Aire install a brand new HVAC. There service was awesome, I can?t say enough positive things abut them. The entire staff was friendly and courteous. They paid attention to every detail. They had the best price of three bids I received. The HVAC unit it top rated by Consumer Reports. The owner?s are El Dorado Hills residents. I highly recommend them.

Very happy with my experience so far. Goldenaire called back quickly to schedule an estimate, then the owner (Ken Golden) came out personally the next morning and provided a detailed, written estimate with different options to help make things more affordable. He was also very willing and open to answering my questions. (One of the other companies that gave me an estimate just scribbled a few notes down on a piece of paper and seemed reluctant to discuss details or answer questions). Two days after I gave the go-ahead, the Goldenaire crew was at my door for the installation (at exactly the promised time -- 7 am!). Job was done by around 3 pm. The lead installer Kenny was very courteous and professional. I believe he's the owner's son, and I'm hoping he takes over the business eventually as I would definitely hire him again in the future. Speaking of which, this company included 5 years of labor as part of the system warranty. (The other companies that submitted estimates only included a year of labor). I won't know how well the system works until this summer, but will update this review if anything about my experience changes.

We had an excellent experience w/ Golden-Aire. Professional scheduling, call-backs, and day-prior appointment confirmation calls. Appointments started on-time, and Ed and his team provided a highly experienced diagnosis and explanations of repair or replace options. After diagnosis, they offered a couple solutions and cost options for our consideration including a series of repairs, or partial or full system replacement. Given the age of our system, ultimately we decided on full replacement. Absolutely no time or sales pressure, unlike my experience w/ a competing company when getting the 1st estimate. The installation staff w/ very professional and courteous, with attention to detail and maintaining cleanliness of surrounding areas in the home. Don't waste any time on the other guys - just give Ed a call at Golden-Aire. I highly recommend them. They will be our family's HVAC company going forward.

We first recommended them to my father-in-law. We had a very good experience with them. The cost was very reasonable. We were extremely pleased with them. They did a very good job. They are very trustworthy too. In fact, I would just go with them again. If I had any more heating and air situation or even if I just wanted it get cleaned, I would just go back with them because you want to stay with someone you can trust and they are trustworthy.

This company was great. Their price was much more reasonable than a competitor that gave me a quote. They even did repairs to my duct work while they were inspecting it. I have also recommended this company to my son!

The repair on my Air Conditioner helped me avoid having to buy a whole new system. Another competitor wouldn't do that, but wanted to sell me a whole new system. So I would recommend them, they are very good. They don't try to put pressure on you. They try to work with you within what you want to do. The cost was reasonable. I was impressed with their professionalism. I felt that they were on time, punctual. If they were going to be late - or even if they weren't going to be late - they would give me a heads up that they were en route, so they were respectful of my time. I dealt with two of the brothers who run the company, and both of them have been in business for a long time, so they are very seasoned. They didn't check the system because somebody else had already checked it, so the system was ok. But because of this one problem that I was having, the company that checked it were suggesting that I put in a whole new system, though the Air Conditioning system was working ok. I had a problem with the condensation not collecting in the pan. Overall I would say that they are professional, they work within your budget, they are not high-pressured - which I like. They are honest. In fact, when they did quote me for the same kind of Air Conditioning System that another competitor, Golden Aire were over a thousand dollars less, and for a better system that I would have gotten rebates for. I felt that the other company overcharged and were not honest, in my way of looking at it. I felt Golden Aire were trustworthy. I will have them come out and do periodic checks on the system because I like the way they do things. At the sales end of it they don't strongarm you, they don't pressure you. They don't tell you "Oh, the system is going to blow up on you." Basically, they were saying "You still have more time on it." I would recommend them to anyone, based on my experience. They are first class.
