 + -1 moreMarc responded to my email quickly. When setting up the appointment, Marc went above and beyond to accommodate scheduling around the sheet rock work and came out on 2 day's notice. He arrived right on time, completed both tasks for me as well as provided an assessment /estimate of the additional work for resolving the outside water/lighting timer issue. He let me know in advance that he would need more than the 2 hrs for all 3 projects. True to his other reviews, his work is expertly completed with high standards for quality. In the garage, I needed a garage refrigerator and a freezer on a line separate from the power tools. Marc determined we could tie into an unused dedicated line to a 3rd bay garage door opener which made the job much more affordable. The sheet rock company commented on how carefully Marc removed the sheet rock for moving the light switches making their repairs much easier. He is professional, neat in his work and cleans up the area before he leaves. In all, I couldn't be more satisfied. Marc will be back to complete the 3rd task and will do my future electrical work.
Description of Work: I used an Angie's List coupon for 2 hrs of electrical services with Energy Electric. I needed a multiple 3 way dual light switch moved as part of a wall-paper strip/re-texture project and another outlet line provided in the garage. I also needed an intermittent short problem with an outside sprinkler/lighting timer resolved. I contacted them by email over a weekend in coordination with my sheet rock work.

 + -1 moreMarc called and we set up a date. He showed up on time and went right to work. I had previously told him I didn't really have that much for him to do. I just needed a 4 socket plug put into my garage. Marc noticed that some of the other wiring I have in this 50 plus year old house, was not up to code. He asked if I would like him to fix it and I agreed. He did the initially requested work and the additional work within the 2 hour coupon time limit and only charged me for materials. His charges were extremely reasonable and he himself very personable. I would certainly recommend him to anyone needing electrical work and I will contact him again myself if I need further work.

 + -1 moreMarc arrived on time and I described the problem and he got right to work and traced the short to an exterior safety light. The light was old and needed to be replaced so he would need to go to the nearby Home Depot to get a new fixture so I had him get a replacement fixture for another external safety light as well. The got the lights at the Home Depot and installed both lights within the 2 hours. Professional, friendly and courteous.
Description of Work: I had purchased the Angie's list $99 for 2 hours electrical service a while ago. Recently one of my breakers kept popping and I suspected an electrical short so I called Energy Electric and Marc came out the next morning.

 + 0 moreMarc arrived early. He explained what he was going to do and the different scenarios that may be encountered. It was a rainy day so when Marc went to get his ladder from his truck, he dried the steps and feet of the ladder before bringing it in the house. He was careful to put two large drop cloths on the floor under the fan before he did any work. He removed the old remote control and rewired the existing fan which worked fine. We had purchased a new remote unit as well as a new fan and we were able to return both because Marc suggested an alternative to a remote control system. He rewired the wall switch with an adjustable control for the light and fan speed. We were delighted with his suggestion which will save us money and in the long run will be more convenient. He was very pleasant and professional and we will definitely call Marc again in the future.
Description of Work: We had a ceiling fan that would not operate. Before Marc arrived, we purchased a new ceiling fan and a new remote system to be installed. Marc checked the existing ceiling fan and found that it was still OK and the problem was the present remote unit. He suggested an alternative to the remote system which we had him install. It has proven to be a definite improvement.

 + -1 moreThe appointment was quickly scheduled, they arrived on time, they moved VERY quickly, and they did a fine job.
Description of Work: We contacted Energy Electric because it was an Angie's list Great Deal, and it turned out to be. For $99 we got two man-hours of work, but we had much more to do. Mark and his partner Brett managed to install three ceiling fans, two of which involved complicated designs and wiring, as well as to repair several outlets and install two new ones. They worked efficiently and fast, completing all work in about 2.5 hours. We would not have known of them had it not been for the Great Deal (there are closer electricians with A ratings on the List), but I am very glad we did. They were not only professional, but they were also very willing to explain what they were doing, to answer our concerns, and to suggest alternatives when necessary. We will certainly be using Energy Electric again.

 + -1 moreI bought from Angies list the electrical house inspection. Marc Lucatuorto came to our house on time and went through our home and told us what was wrong and how to fix it. What we were really looking for was to hire a contractor that could replace our electrical box as our house was built in the 1950s and had some home owner work done that was unsafe. We contacted several other contractors after meeting with Marc and he clearly stood out as the best. We had him bid the job and he listened to what we wanted and understood. We were planning on doing the work in June but had an unexpected emergency, and Marc worked with us without issue to reschedule. My husband emailed back and forth with Marc with all my questions and we finally booked a date. Marc showed up today a couple minutes early! We have 3 big dogs and Marc was not bothered my the added inconvenience. Marc and his helper Bret worked quickly and efficiently even though it was complex. We were only without power for 5 hours exactly as Marc had said. Marc found a few problems that we never new about and fixed them too. I am extremely happy and impressed with his work. I plan on using him when we finally get to the kitchen remodel as I trust his work without question. If any one is looking for professional electrical work Marc would be the best choice!
Description of Work: Removed old Zinsco (electrical panel) overhead service and replaced with new 200 amp overhead service. Replaced with all new breakers, service breakers, service mast, and service riser conductors. Also replaced existing conduit that goes under house with new larger conduit for future wiring.  + 1 moreThe entire project went very well. House is 30+ years old so there were several work arounds and retrofits that needed to be done. Marc was great in coming up with solutions. They were prompt, cleaned up each day after themselves, and were very personable and easy to work with.
Description of Work: Added 10 new canned lights in kitchen, hallway, 2 bathrooms. Replaced decades old canned lighting in living room (6) and master bedroom (2). Added 2 new pendant lights over island in kitchen. Relocated lighting in dining room. Added plusgs and dime switches in kitchen, dining room, and bathroom.  + -1 moreMarc and employee showed up on time and got to work quickly on my electrical box. My PG&E bill has gone from around $100.00 to over $700.00 since I've had a smart meter put on. Marc went through wire by wire to figure out amp usage and said no way am I using that much power. He wrote it all down for me so I can show PG&E proof. He then worked on my kitchen light that a do-it-yourselfer had wired before. He fixed what no one else could figure out. He went above and beyond. I am very pleased.

Description of Work: He checked the flourescent lights in the master bath, replaced the ballast and explained that I should use tubes of the same age to keep the ballast from being 'overworked.' He also added an electrical outlet.

Description of Work: Marc came to our home to perform what he considered a routine electrical service job. But it turned out to be anything but routine and normal! The original job was to replace an old 110 volt outlet, and, add an additional outlet out in the garage. Also, an outlet in the family room was to be replaced. When Marc was attempting to replace the electrical outlet box in the living room he inadverdently poked the hot water heater piping with his saw. He was totally not at fault, as the hot water heater piping was immediately, unknown to him, adjacent to and directly behind the electrical box. It was in an unusual and very odd location. Of course, water began to spout all over the place! Marc tried to cover the leak with his hand as best he could, while I went to the front of the house and turned off the main water supply. Needless to say, we had a mess. But Marc didn't let it bother him. He went to work, and, called a plumber friend in to help him with the leak. He mopped up the water with towels, replaced the sheet rock, finished the sheet rock, painted the sheet rock, and, had a friend re-texture the sheet rock. This took all of 4 days to accomplish. He personally made at least 3 trips here to the house, doing most oi the work himself, and, making sure the rest of it got done. He furnished drop cloths, fans, and all the tools used in the clean up. Marc certainly went beyond the call of duty. His electric work was skillfully and professionally done, We appreciate him very much for efficiently taking care of an unexpected and unforseeable accident. His charge for services definitely did not reflect in any way his time and energy expended on this job. We would certainly call Marc for any and all electrical work needed in the future. We highly recommend him to you.

 + -1 moreI called and reached an answering service. About three hours later I received a call from the owner who asked for details about the problem. Saying it would fit better into his schedule if he came right away, I agreed that that would fit my plans, and he then arrived having the necessary materials with him. He began work right away, and he worked efficiently throughout the time here on the job. Because we have aluminum wiring thoughout the dwelling, he recommended that I NOT plug in my electric heater in the office as that was probably the reason for the burnt switch. (There was a scorched area above the burnt switch.) That safety advice is very much appreciated! I delayed writing this report until I had had an opportunity to check at Home Depot on the price I was charged for the materials. The $88 price was very close to the prices I saw at Home Depot.
Description of Work: Removed and replaced two non-working ballasts and four four-foot long flourescent light tubes in kitchen. Repaired and replaced burnt switch in the office.

Marc as well as Marty was a joy to work with, extremely great teamwork, ethical and funny and thoroughly excellent in their job. They fixed a faulty switch for FREE that a different company failed to fix as well as exhibited their total commitment to delivering a wonderful customer service when after the initial evaluation and repair for the panel, Marc came back immediately when we informed him that there was no power even if he was already halfway to another job except that it was actually SMUD's fault since the whole neighborhood had no power. A total comedy of errors, yet Marc showed a great work ethic and customer service that we really appreciated. They fixed the problem without fuss, very clean and meticulous in their workmanship, definitely a great company!
Description of Work: 125 Amp Main Breaker was replaced, new Busses were installed to existing Zinsco panel. Installation of switch and double flood lights in driveway. Addition of photocell light at corner of driveway (dusk to dawn). Repair of switch in one room.

I emailed him on a Sunday about a problem, and he responded that same day and suggested that I call him. Rather than scheduling an appointment, he asked me if I checked certain things, hich I subsequently did. His suggestion fixed the problem, and I was able to avoid the cost of having him come out to the house. Highly recommend him.

 + -1 moreWe've been having problems with our lighting, some of the lights will trigger shutting down of our circuit breakers which will entail going to the fuse box. Such a great hassle. We looked through Angie's List and found Energy Electric. Set-up an appointment with them for an evaluation, talked with Marc and he asked several questions pointing out our problem and he basically told us that it would be more time-efficient and cost-effective for us to have him come in and do the work since he's pretty sure about the cause of our problems and so we had him schedule to work. He was very thorough, systematic and quite helpful. He even described ways and means to avoid fire-hazards as well as electric-hazards. He was very respectful of our mom who was there for his service call. He found two bad breakers and did the repair work, changed even the switch, didn't even charged extra for the supplies. He was quite professional.
