Chapman's Legacy Plumbing

Russell showed up to check out the problem with the heat coming from my floor near my kitchen sink. I had alreadly had experienced this problem before...a hot water leak under the foundation. He had fixed that problem so I knew he was the one to call again. Trying to jackhammer under a kitchen sink is a little difficult, you have this huge pipe in the way. The cement was very thick so that was another added slow down. Because of the age and how the TH were build were I live; the pipes are starting to have leaks. This leak was easier to locate than the last one. The prior leak, I had to have another person (CL referred) come out to locate the leak then have it fixed by Chapman Legacy (CL). This time it was different, something to do with joints rubbing against each other or something like that. After fixing that I asked Russel to fix my faucet ouside that was leaking, ,just a little job I thought. Next thing I know I have a fountain in front of my place. Russell turns the water off, since it's outside I think it's not my problem. Called the HOA, they say call water company, water company says no should be HOA, HOA says NO-my responsibity. Russell found pipes rusted out, so changed out pipes and faucet. So something I thought was going to be easy took lots of time for Russell. All the time Russell was cool, calm and helped me stay the same.

I talked to Chapman's Legacy Plumbing about it and they didn't do what they say they will do. They worked without etiquette. They quoted the certain rate and then they charged me more than that. I called and complained and they said they would refund it and then they never sent me a refund.

Mr. Chapman's friendliness was only surpassed by the quality of his work. I appreciate his availability on short notice. He found an obvious problem with my drain but also uncovered a problem with my disposal. I cringed when I heard it needed to be replaced but then was very pleasantly surprised that the cost of the service/replacement and new disposal unit COMBINED was less than I thought it would cost just for the service alone. This was based on another recent plumbing visit by another company who charged me nearly $600 to replace a bathroom sink faucet (I provided the new faucet) and replace the toilet fixture (I again provided the replacement, but he chose not to use it). Thank you, Kermit!!

It was a great experience. They responded to phone calls within an hour and kept me informed during the process. They came to the house as scheduled and completed the process without follow up on my part. The cost of the waterheater is higher than most because it has to be special ordered.

The guy handles all my plumbing. His prices are very reasonable and affordable. This guy is very professional, and he is always on time. He responds very quickly. His service is very good.

I signed up for Angie's list because I didn't personally know any plumbers and needed one. Legacy Plumbing was rated high and were close to my area. Prompt and professional. The work was done fast and we have reaped the benefits of their knowledge. Hot water gets to the upstairs faucets quickly.

I called him late in the day and he said he would be there, which I liked. He showed up when he said. He was very kind and very nice. He was a very nice gentleman and had good customer service. I will call on him again if I ever need him. His price was reasonable.

When I contacted Russell to schedule the install, he was very accommodating on the date and time - working with me and my schedule. He, again, showed up on time (early). As it had been raining, he and his helper (Kermit) laid out tarps on the carpet as my crawlspace is in the back bedroom. They installed the gas line in much less time than he estimated. Once he finished, he carefully explained exactly what he did, and actually added a gas turnoff switch where it went into the fireplace. Kermit also took the time to point out that my hot water heater was turned all the way to hot. He took the time to test the temperature of the water coming out of the kitchen faucet. Turns out that it was over 150 degrees. He turned it to where it should be. I also asked them a couple of questions about clean-outs and both of them took time to show me where it might be located. Very professional and courteous....would definitely recommend them to all, and will defintely use them again!

The service was affordable and professional. He was flexible with time as I needed to schedule the appointment outside of regular working hours. He was right on time, helpful in explaining the problem and fair in pricing. I would definitely use the service again and recommend to others.

Overall, things went extremely smooth and ended up GREAT once Kermit had come to my home. I recently bought my first house and was told I had a home warranty at my disposal when I needed it for various things around the house. Well, when the toilets quit working (they wouldn't flush and water started backing up into the shower and bathtub) on Feb. 28th, I thought "oh I can call my home warranty!" Once I knew I could call them I wasn't concerned about it anymore and knew it would be resolved. Boy, oh boy, was I wrong!! After waiting for 5 hours to hear back from one of the contractors that work for my home warranty company, he said he was on his way to my home to look into the plumbing problem. When he arrived he was speaking to me as if I knew the terms used by a plumber and like I had lived in my home my entire life. I told him I just bought the house in July and I am not sure exactly what he is asking about or looking for...fast forward 20 minutes, he tells me he can't do anything for me tonight and will be back in the morning. Well the next morning came and I didn't hear from anyone...not the contractor from the night before OR my home warranty. So I called my home warranty and they referred me back to the contractor. After leaving messages with him and not getting a returned call...I knew something else needed to be done. I mean for goodness sakes, we didn't have working toilets, showers and baths...so I went to Angie's List!! Within being on Angie's List for 5 minutes, I had found a plumber (Kermit) and even spoke to him!! He was SOOO helpful, gave me a quote over the phone and even told me he could be to my house that same day...well really within the next two hours! I was shocked! By the time I got home from work, the clean-out was installed, the pipes had been cleared, my yard was put back together and my driveway was being rinsed off. I couldn't be more pleased with the work that was done and the service I received. Here we are 10 days later and I haven't had another problem (knock on wood) NOR have I heard back from my home warranty OR the first contractor that came out. Good thing I didn't wait around for them!! Thank you Kermit!! You get an A+ in my book! :)

I had a break in the water line from the meter to my house. Since the leak was underground, I was unsure exactly where the leak was. It turned out that the plastic pipe transporting water to the house had broken near a joint in the pipe. I contacted Chapman's on a Sunday and made arrangements for them to come out on Monday. Russell showed up promptly at 11 a.m. as promised. He was able to track the leak down by digging with a hand shovel. He was able to fix the leak promptly and efficiently. He also helped with another small project to my satisfaction. I was very satisfied with the quality of the work.

Kermit showed up at the scheduled time and worked efficiently at the repairs, all at the price agreed upon. Actually, better than that because we got a 25-percent discount for finding Chapman's on Angie's List. After 20 years of looking for the right plumber and being disappointed (as well as overcharged) each time, I think we have finally found our plumber. On top of all that, Kermit was friendly, patient and accommodating.

Mr Chapman was courteous over the phone. Came out at appointed time. He was late BUT called to let me know he was running late, how long and all that so thats totally fine by me. We all get caught up in something.He replaced Water heater and all the lines to and from. Changed shut off valve and brought and flex up to code. Also added air gap to dishwasher drain. Replaced cartridge on cold side of the hall bath sink. Changed overflow plate, spout and drains on both tubs. Also replaced Main water shut off valve. He also did extra odds & ends everywhere that i asked him about. We had just bought the house and were trying to cover all things in a single trip. All in all I think he charged us alot but we needed it done asap....so it was well worth it!!! Thank you for the Awesome service!

We had a pipe leak under our laundry area sink. We checked Angie's list and called Chapman Legacy ("Legacy"), because we had been very dissatisfied with the plumbing company that we had used previously. Kermit from Legacy returned our call immediately and he came the same day. He repaired the pipe (replaced the leaking pipe). We liked his work. He is an obvious old school craftsman. He does the work correctly and uses good materials. We asked for a quote for installing a recirculating pump (labor and materials) for our water heater. Due to configuration of our house and the location of the water heater, we never got hot water in the kitchen and it took forever to get it hot in the master bathroom. We had gotten a quote for this work from the previous plumbing company but we had not followed through with them because of their poor workmanship/attitude on our other project. That company's quote for the same work was $200 more then Kermit's. Kermit installed the circulating pump and also replaced an angle valve on a toilet a week later. The price stated above was for all three jobs combined (pipe replacement, purchase and installation of the circulating pump and the toilet angle valve replacement). All the work was performed in a craftrsman like/professional manner. We felt the expenditure was very fair for the work involved. We plan to use Kermit for all of our future plumbing needs.

I called Chapman's on Friday afternoon on a referral from another Angie's List plumbing company that could not service my rental home for a couple weeks. These guys are a father and son team with the father having over 40 years of plumbing experience, and it shows. My tenant emailed me mid morning on Friday to inform me that the master bathroom toilet was leaking. I was pretty sure that it needed a new wax seal, but I didn't have the time to travel to the rental that weekend and fix it. Mr Chapman took down all of my information and told me he could get to on Saturday and that there was not an extra charge for Saturday work. I was elated! He contacted my tenant directly to set up a service time and then called me once it was completed to arrange for payment. When he called he informed me that he had also snaked the drain in the spare bathroom because the tenant informed him it wasn't draining (I had no idea). All in all, Mr Chapman saved me a great deal of time and was prompt, professional, and courteous. I will definately call on Chapman's in the future for plumbing work!!!

Russell was on time (even a little early)! He did a very good job and left the area clean. I think that the prie was very fair considering the time and energy spent.

We were completely wowed by Chapman's Legacy Plumbing. This father/son team has been in the business for many years. Their expertise and way with customers shows. We had done our due diligence, and they offered us the best price and best value for the replacement of our hot water tank. We were in danger of springing a serious leak any day and had turned off the water, so their prompt and immediate replacement made all the difference. They used a quality, name brand product, and the improvement to the quality of our hot water heating was immediately noticeable. They were pleasant to work with, answered all our questions, and we felt we wanted to give this job to someone with expertise in plumbing rather than a generic repair person. We were really happy with our decision and experience. I recommend them without erservation.

Kermit was right here on the 17th, when we returned from 3 days out of town; got the toilet tank repaired, even though it was a sort of struggle. Very happy with the results.

the overall experience was positive. Called the company, they were able to come out the next day to take a look at my kitchen sink/plumbing. I got an estimate in a day, and they were able to come out and do the job the following work day.

It went very well, smooth, and completed on time. All good.

Russell from Chapman Plumbing showed up when he said he would, was very professional and friendly. Knew exactly what to do and got in and did the job and it seemed to not take him very long which was very impressive. thought it would cost a lot more than it did but I was wrong. I recommend Chapman Plumbing if you have any plumbing jobs that need to be done in a fast, efficient manner.

On 8/28/12 the spout in the bath tub fell off when the shower was in use. It had been leaking for some time and we had been putting off having someone come to look at it. We didn't know any plumbers. We turned off the water to the house to prevent water from leaking behind the tiles, and then got on Angie's list to research plumbers. At first we called On the Ritz Plumbing due to the number of positive reports. They were not available to come the next day and recommended Chapman's Legacy Plumbing, and gave us their phone number. My husband called Chapman Plumbing and left a message, and Kermit promptly returned our call. He said they would be out the next day between 11/AM and 1PM. The time was later moved up to between 8/AM and 9AM, which we were very happy about. Kermit was courteous, knowledgeable, and did a good job. We were so relieved to have it repaired promptly, without any complications. He was a very nice person, and we were comfortable having him in our home. We will definitely call him again when the need arises. We've found ourselves a plumber!

I called Chapman's on a Sunday at mid afternoon. They came out and repaired my leaking pipe within two hours of my call. I was very satisfied with their prompt, courteous and professional service. It is nice to know I have a plumber I can rely on.

They were fine. They came when they were supposed to. They looked at the problem and they did the job in a couple of hours with satisfactory results. They were professional. I had not much to compare their price to, but I was satisfied with the price.

When I forgot to mention the Angie's discount, Kermit did not charge me for the 2nd visit. (bathroom facet piece) I thought that was very kind and thought. He was very thoughtful and extremely helpful! I would highly recommend his work and him as a plumber.
