Hired them for their monthly service. The price is a little high but I'm ok with it. I needed someone to be insured and bonded and this company is. They do a great job.

Came to give a quote. Looked around without giving any suggestions of what he might do to the garden. Took my email and never responded with a quote. He said that he prefers to mow the yard and leave the debri behind. That doesn't make sense as dry grass is a fire hazard. However, from comparison shopping the unofficial verbal quotes for 3 or 4 times the market price.

Drain system failed during huge storm. Carlos responded immediately & restored drain system in 4 days, between a series of storms.

Went well. We had them for over twelve to fifteen years.

VERY CRUDE AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Went fine however his employees were always on their cell phones. Except when the boss was there. He did what he wanted too not what I specifically asked for.

I called this provider several days ago. Spoke to his wife, and described what I needed, which was weekly lawn service. I gave her my name, address and phone number. She said that Carlos was not home at the moment, but she would have him call me that evening. Guess what??????? No call since then. If this is any indication of the reliability of your service, then I';m just as glad he didn't call me. No one needs an unreliable and unresponsive provider.; Don't waste your time calling. I have a hunch that all he wants is large jobs. He, therefore, should not advertise that he does maintenance. There are too many other people needing work. grade is definitely a big F

Mr. Vasquez was very prompt and very professional. He was friendly and easy to work with. He gave me an estimate and stated that it was "a good price" of $750. Since there was a lot of cleaning to be done, I thought it would take them most of a day, so the price was not really so high. The cleaning crew showed up on time and worked very quickly and efficiently. In fact the four man crew finished in 2 1/2 hours. This would amount to $75/ hour/ man. I looked on the Internet for the average wage of a yard worker in our area and found a figure of around $35/hour at the high end. In retrospect I felt the price was too high. I wish I had asked more questions before hand, such as how many men would be working on it and how long it would take. I could then have gotten a better handle on the estimate given. Mr. Vasquez pointed out a problem with the bark separating on one ornamental tree and said he would repair it. He never did, though it may have just slipped his mind. He is a nice man and runs an efficient crew. The only reason I would not rehire him is due to the price, unless he gave a more reasonable estimate.

Carlos is very professional and courteous. His fees are reasonable.

Everything was done per my specific requests and within budget.

I moved into my house in November and had not had anything done to the yard. Since fall had cleared all of my trees of heir leaves, the yard was covered in leaves, the lawn was overgrown and full of weeds, the bushes and small trees were no longer shapely. I searched on Angie's List and found a great deal - 4 hours of yard clean up plus debris removal for 240.00. Considering the shape of my yard, this was a great deal. Carlos contacted me right away and we made an appointment for him to come by and evaluate the yard. He arrived when he said he would and walked the property with me to make note of what was required. He made the appointment right then for 2 people to come to work on my yard. They arrived promptly as scheduled and got to work immediately. My house is practically all windows so I was able to see the care and time they took to trim the trees and hedges precisely and with care. They weeded out all of the flower gardens and trimmed the roses which had gotten out of control. The toughest part of the job was clearing all the leaves and once it was done and the mowing and edging was through the yard was in pristine condition. Immediately following my service through Angie's list, Ruth called to ask if I was satisfied with the service and if there was anything they could have done better. It was perfect and there was nothing I could suggest as an improvement. I was so impressed with their work ethic that I hired Carlos Landscaping to service my yard every other week. They are always on time, arrive exactly when scheduled, are extremely friendly and respectful, and do an amazing job. Since my regular service has started, Ruth has checked in with me several times to make sure that I am 100% satisfied, which I am. I highly recommend Carlos Landscaping!

I found Carlos on Angiei's List, and I couldn't be more satisfied. Their gardener hasn't missed a week since I started service, and he frequently go above and beyond his lawn care duties. He has trimmed bushes and removed weeds without being asked, and I greatly appreciate the effort. When I first signed up for service, I had a very pleasant and professional conversation with Ruth. I am supremely happy with every aspect of Carlos' service.

Went great, was on time, professional, did a great job. Liked their work so much that we decided to have them come by and maintain the yards weekly.

It went great. I found this provider to be punctual, knowledgeable and reliable. They did a great job doing a one time yard clean up . Hauled away all the junk and weeds. Trimmed shrubs and trees, edged, mowed, and more.

Very pleased with all work that was done. This provider is very interested in making sure he's done everything discussed to the customer's satisfaction.

Carlos' team comes out once a week and completely takes care of the lawns / greenery plus does pruning as necessary on the multiple oleander bushes and shrubs. I am satisfied with the work I am getting for the price.

He was a no show. Did not even call and reschedule.

When I initially called, I was told it would be a few days before he could make it out to look at my property and give me an estimate. I was hoping to have it done right away (before a party), but realized that wasn't going to happen. I still had him come out though, as the work still needed to be done. He gave me an idea of how much it would be while he was here and I thought it was pretty high. He mentioned that his crew could do all the clean up, but not haul it off, and it would be cheaper...turned out it wasn't much cheaper at all...it was still $1,000. His quote to do bi-weekly service was $200. My husband had another landscaping company come out and give us an estimate for the same things (both the one time clean-up and a monthly service cost). The second guy quoted us $400 for the one-time clean up (compared to $1,000 by Carlos), AND that included hauling everything off as well, where Carlos' bid did not include haul off. Also, he said he could do our monthly service for $125 per month, and that included EVERY week! Carlos wanted $200 for twice per month. Needless to say, we went with the other guy and are extremely happy that we did - we are very pleased with his work!

They were fast and did just about everything I asked, with a couple minor exceptions. I use them now monthly.

Very friendly guy. Showed up. Looked at our plans. Asked for email copies. Email copies were sent. Never heard back despite our follow up calls and emails. He also lost out on a 100k job now being performed by another company

Everything was done well. We have a rental property that needs work as well and we will use Carlos again for that project as well.

Carlos's crew does a good job of maintaining the property. I have been using them for last 2 years or so. Communication is definitely an issue with his crew but we are able to tell them when we want something extra done. Getting hold of Carols for doing onetime job is a big thing. He is usually late for appointments but understands your requirements and also gives good suggestions. Will definitely recommend Carols Landscaping for yard maintenance work. 12/01/2014 - Updated review After about 2 and half years, I have decided to end my weekly lawn maintenance done by Carlos Landscaping. The crew was not putting the right efforts and it showed when looking at the lawn.

He came in on 04/15 on time and looked at the backyard with our design. he requested electronic pdf copies of the plans and never got back to us , Multiple phone calls and speaking with his secretary. No response from Carlos. Secretary stated that I should send another electronic copy to them. I did again and here we are TWO weeks later and STILL no response. Horrible customer service. I have NO idea how these folks can stay in business when they promise and do not deliver... i would never ever recommend him and his company to anyone...

Carlos is a professional and his crew does good work. However, as noted in other reviews, his crew does not speak English. This isn't a problem for jobs like mine where it was just lawn thatching and aeration, but since he doesn't stay onsite, it would be if something came up. If the job was just aeration, I don't have a preference for a provider, but thatching is a lot of work and clean up is a pain in the a**. His crew (two guys) thatched and cleaned up the thatch...not to the degree I would have cleaned it up, but pretty good. Also, they used a commercial grade plugger for the aeration (like they use on a golf course) which is great. I wouldn't say the price Carlos quoted me was overly high, but I also brought in a neighbor, and then on the day his crew showed up, I brought in another (who was out of town) so instead of one job, I gave him three. Rather than knocking a few bucks off of my job, he hemmed and haughed when I said I was going to use the Angies's List 10% off coupon. If it were me and a customer brought me two more jobs, I'd be falling all over myself to thank them and give them a discount. Separately, I asked Carlos to walk my yard and give me an estimate on purchasing and spreading shredded ceder bark. He forgot. When he said he would stop by to pick up the checks for the jobs, he said he'd give me an estimate then. He never did. At the end of it all, they did a good job and we did the deal on a hand shake. That's rare and I respect that.
