Gary Lee provided expert advice about what was and wasn't allowed in my condo association from his previous experience. He was right - I took his advice and got immediate approval from the HOA to replace the windows. Gary sold me some great windows at a good price (with upgrade per Angie's list coupon). The windows came in sooner than expected and Jason and Paul worked most of one day to get them installed, answer my questions, and carry out the additional task of removing a metal ledge from the kitchen window and refinishing that window frame, which they did cleanly and efficiently. The new windows are the best feature of the house. Due in part to new insulation and the new windows, I haven't used the AC all summer. Noise from mow and blow and neighborhood dogs is also reduced. Gary, and then Phil were quick to respond to and take care of a leak that occured later. I am impressed with their interest in customer satisfaction.

I did expect the bid and I’m just waiting for them to perform the job here. They were very good. I chose them from Angie’s list. There were various other contractors that I looked at and I got several other quotes but I just liked the presentation of what they were going to do and what I wanted done. It was pretty much the way they presented themselves that I liked and they were punctual. The other two companies that gave me the quotes were also very good and punctual but I preferred these guys. There are also some other things that they are going to do as compared to the other two quotes. Their quote was the highest in comparison to the other two quotes. Everybody else were pretty much within the margin but I just preferred the presentation and the rapport that I had with the gentleman that came out. The initial appointment and the quoting process were good. The fact that they notify when they are going to be a little late is good. He calls and makes sure that everything is okay. That’s very good. It worked out pretty well. The other two companies too were good. I’ll see how it works out once they do the installation. They seemed to be very knowledgeable. They’ve been around for a long time. They had the memories of the work that they had performed and so all that helps. I checked with the business bureau and the contractor’s license, and he seems to be okay so far. I would use their services again in the future.

I like everything about them. It was all of first rate, and it went excellent. They were very punctual. They explained everything well. The windows looked terrific. They cleaned up after themselves.

Sales Manager Gary Lee came out to provide an estimate. He answered all my questions and provided good explanations of the work to be performed. He also provided good advice for what would work , and look, best when I had options. We had a minor problem on the install in which the day they were scheduled to install it was raining quite hard. They came out, took one look, and said "This is not going to work. The windows are in an unprotected area. They will never seal properly being this wet. Usually we can go ahead if the windows are under the eaves protected from the rain, every situation is different. We will have to reschedule for your job." Although I could have been upset about this, I would much rather have them say something like this than go ahead and try something that will not work. However, I do provide one suggestion to them. The sales person should make note of whether the windows are in a protected area and relay this to the work scheduler so they know before coming out that they cannot install the windows if it is raining. This would save the homeowner and the company time. About two weeks later they came out and installed the windows without a problem. I was mostly concerned about the cutting of the stucco, drywall, and countertop, but the result was perfect. Special complements to their stucco man. I have never seen a stucco repair match so well to the other stucco on the house. He was a true artist at stucco.

I do not remember exactly how much we spent because we did not have our whole house done but it was a good price. Their sales manager, Gary Lee, is very personable. He came and met with us and treated us like royalty. He put a lot of time into us and responded very quickly to our call. He is also very attentive. We are really happy with the job. The windows look great. They have a strong customer service attitude. He built our trust and was responsive to our calls and concerned about us being happy. He is a relaxed guy, a nice California sales manager. I would recommend him to others. We've gotten compliments on the work.

The job from start to finish went very smoothly. The two man team arrived on time and we knew right away that they were experienced. Their organization and attention to detail was amazing. When they were done, they washed the slider and windows until they were gleaming, vacuumed the floor, and took away our old slider and windows. No one would have known they had ever been here. We are very happy with our new slider and windows.

Overall, the experience went well. I've used them in a different home (about 10 years ago) for window replacement, and that experience was great; I'd recommend them for that. We just decided to go with a different window company this time.

From start to finish, everyone at Cal Energy was very friendly and professional. I received two other bids and found them both to be just a little higher, so I went with Cal Energy. On the morning of the install, both installers were on my doorstep right on time and wasted no time getting to work. All of the old windows were out within and hour, and the new windows were installed and finished by the three hour mark. I have nothing but positives to say about the whole process and I highly recommend this company.

Excellent experience and I love my new windows and doors. The actual installation took less than a day. The crew arrived on time, did the job, and cleaned up after themselves. I have already recommended them to a neighbor.

The team showed up on time, were polite and professional. Gary (the main salesman) was great in advance and promptly came after the work was complete to fill out the warranty card and inspect the work. One of the windows was delivered cracked (which can happen on a truck), and they were very apologetic and promised to replace it quickly. It is scheduled for next week, and from what we have experienced thus far, I expect no problems. Highly recommend this company.

We got quotes from two companies. The other company gave us the whole, inflate the price then "your price today only" discount sales pitch stuff. CECS, on the other hand, looked over the house, gave us a fair quote that was less that the other companies "best price" right off the bat. The product is nationally known and has a good reputation. There was no need to hagle and rangle, just straight forward fair business. Then they were there when they said they would be. They did what they said. The really took GREAT care of the house around the windows. They cleaned up thoroughly after themselves. The windows look great. They ran into a bit of a problem with the stucco on the back sliding door and took care of it without any extra cost. We had one small communication glitch that had me worried for a VERY SHORT time. When I brought it to the attention of the sales person he fixed it IMMEDIATELY. No worries at all other than that. I only bring it up because I believe that how a company acts when there is nervousness on the part of a client is a big indicator of how they will deal with everything. This company absolutely backs up everything they say, at least in our experience. I would recommend them highly.

The sales rep was great and I received exactly what we bargained for. It took less than 1/2 day to install. The product not only looks great it appears to be great. I certainly would recommend this company and Christen to everyone.

The entire process, from contract origination to final installation went extremely well. Gary Lee, the Cal Energy salesman, made two visits to our house over the course of 3 months. Yes, I like to take a lot of time with a major home improvement and this was no exception. It seems the more contractors I talk to the more ideas I get. And I have to admit by the time I was done with my planning, my whole improvement plan changed 180 degrees. The first day two installers came out (one employee was sick) and completed the installation of half the windows. Everything went very smoothly. I was expecting something to get screwed up, but nothing did. The following week, the installers completed the job putting in two sliders. I was particularly pleased that the trim matched up well with the design of the house (we live in a Streng home, so we're fussy that the architecture's integrity is preserved). Two Big Points here: The installers worked fast and competently. They cleaned up well after themselves and didn't break any of the azaleas in front of the house. Now, here's the kicker. When I paid the final amount, I overpaid by $400. I simply didn't catch the mistake, but was pleased they immediately mailed me a check covering the overpayment.......without me saying one word. Now, that's really honesty. What a great firm.

We are happy as a clam. The windows are awesome. The windows keep the heat in and the cool out in the winter. The insulation is great in summer. Our floors don?t bleach. The installation was great. They were very professional. They were courteous and fast in installation. We are pleased.

Our experience with them was excellent. The guy that did the installation was great and is mainly a one man person that does all the heating and air. He does all the installation himself and goes way out of his way to satisfy his customers. We had an older home, so he had to come and do all the stucco, cut outs and everything.

Things went smoothly. Work was completed in 2 days. No hassles. The crew worked really hard and were friendly and courteous.

The windows arrived on time. The day of arrival, the men arrived on time and had the windows installed in about 6 hours. The windows look very nice, and I really like the quiet of the double pane windows. The place just seems much more secure from the environment. Dick, the salesperson has about 20 years of experience with windows, and it showed. He was very professional and explained all the basics about vinyl windows. I later found out that this company is fairly well known among window people and has a good reputation.
