all went well. all work was done in an efficient and timely manner. when there was a slight problem I called and it was immediately taken care of. They guarantee their work. The reason it has taken so long to review this company is because I thought I already had, but upon looking at my reviews, found out that I had not done so. I recommended them to my son and in turn they recommended them to their friends and they were all completely satisfied.

Great price and a good install. Very responsive on warranty work to get the window grids to align for both panels on one window.

Like most, my house is aging - windows, furnace, a/c all old and not very efficient. Spoke w/Gary at the Sac Home Fair and scheduled an appt. History was made - Gary had everything I needed to make my home very efficient - 1 stop shopping. The best windows (Simonton), new Bryant High Efficiency Furnace and A/C and new tank less water heater. The window in the bedroom was being replaced with a single door and 2 windows. And other misc construction items needed to be done to accommodate a new furnace in the attic and water heater in the outside patio closet. The pricing was very, very reasonable for everything I was having done. First the independent Energy Consultant came to the house to get a baseline reading for how inefficient my house was. Windows/Materials were ordered. Then the work started - Windows and construction/demo on the bedroom first. The Inspector came out immediately and approved. They were back out the next day to finish up the windows/door. Then the HVAC Techs came in and did their thing for the new furnace, A,/C an water heater. Every Manager, Tech, Contractor (inside & outside) that I dealt with at CECS was very professional, courteous, and knowledgeable in their field. I know everyone by name. At the same time - I was doing some other contract work at my home and Gary worked with that contractor on the timeline of when they could both get their projects coordinated and completed in a timely manner. It all came together beautifully. The independent Energy Company came by and did another energy reading - the results for an energy efficient home was way off the charts- I exceeded in most areas. I LOVE all the new products in my home. I can't wait to see how much $$$ will be saved during the hot hot summer days and cold winter nights. Thank you CECS! You are ALL AWESOME! I would recommend you to everyone!

Workmen were on time did their work well, were courteous and professional, finished in a timely mannor.

They were excellent in every way. They were just so professional, nice, accommodative and they made it as painless as possible to have all that work done in our house. Our energy bills used to run $600-$800 and now it is consistently under $200 so that's why we had it done. I just cannot believe how little it is.

Company is very professional, We obtain 3 other estimates. This company was not the cheapest of the bids, however the quality of the window was worth paying for. The windows are made in the Sacramental area. Lance the representative is very cordial and responsive to emails and returned phone calls. He was precise has to what the installers will be doing once they arrived and great knowledge with regards to the windows. Once the windows were ready, we received a call to set the appointment. We had a total of 13 windows installed. The three installers were great!. I asked questions and they gladly answered them. The lead installer and I did a walk through, open and closed windows. Instructed how to keep window clean and free of debris. The job was completed in one day. They did a great job in cleaning up afterwards. I waited to provide a review. We wanted to see how the windows settle in. So far all is good. No air leaking. It has rained and no water intrusion. The windows have made a difference in keeping our home warm as well. We have not had to put on the heater. We are very happy with our decision in choosing this company.

Everything is working great, we've seen a marked reduction of our energy use which will carry over to the summer as well. We would use CECS again. Workmanship and materials were excellent. Very happy with the windows and other items Gary suggested. The rebate program's new requirements caused some scheduling issues, once those were worked out, the job was completed in a timely manner.

We had four contractors in for estimates, and met with millworks reps at the two big box stores.. Our sales guy from CECS, Lance Newey, obviously knew what he was doing when he was measuring for the replacement. He had samples of different doors (sliced cross sections of the frames), so it was easy to understand the different product/price lines his company offered. He also gave us a folder with information on CECS. We made our decision on the door we wanted, one of the least expensive. Lance did not pressure us to upgrade, and provided a proposal on the model we were considering. We liked that Lance was a good listener and understood how we decided on what we wanted. . One company quoted the same door, but didn't seem to care about our small job. Another tried to push us into a brand that was way above our budget, and the sales rep wore so much cologne that we felt like tearing out our doors to let in air! The last person sold Ply-gem, but said that they didn't make one that would fit our house--no chance of a purchase by me when someone lies! On the stores, one was the least expensive, though not by much (they kept offering discounts), and the other was pricier than the pros--the quality just wasn't there at either place. Once we decided to go with CECS, the process was easy. Lance emailed the contract. We wanted one item more specifically explained, and the contract was immediately revised. We confirmed with specific language in a return email on 11/7/13. That was it (perhaps because of the job size--if CECS were ordering $20,000 worth of windows, I am sure they would have wanted a signed paper). The contract specified "December" for completion, understandable with the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Here is the only hitch in this deal. On 12/3, we got to wondering what was happening. I emailed Lance for status. Sure enough, I received a call the next day to schedule the installation. Bob, the installer, called on 12/4, and the installation was set for 12/9. We touched bases on the phone before the installation to make sure that Bob had all of the material he needed. Bob and Steve arrived right on time, and got to work. They ran into a couple of problems with our house, but knew what to do. I am probably an awful customer, because I like to watch people working on my house, and I ask questions. If these guys were bothered by it, it did not show. Steve and Bob were nice guys, who seemed to enjoy their work, which makes me feel that CECS is a decent company to work for. Our salesman, Lance, dropped by about 3/4 of the way through; I liked the follow up. The installation looks great, and we love the door. Goodbye drafts and noise! We have received unsolicited compliments from visitors. I would check these people out if I were you.

After initial struggle to get a representative of CECS out to our house we finally talked to Lance who made us a terrific offer on Simonton dual-pane low E windows. Two weeks later a crew installed all windows and the new sliding door within 6 hours. The crew took the old windows with them, caulked the gaps between the window frames and the wall, installed a custom made window sill in the living room window and cleaned up very well after finishing the job. I would use them anytime again!

We choose CECS based on Angie's List recommendations. Overall we were very satisfied. We have installed replacement vinyl windows before in other houses using other companies, and CECS provided a better value for our money. I had seen a few Angie's List reviews that probably raised my expectations for clean-up unrealistically. CECS did a cleanup, but on par with other reputable contractors. The main problem which caused me to lower my rating was that we were supposed to have a 2-man crew, but one of the crew had to take care of some personal business in the morning and didn't arrive on-site until around noon. The first guy arrived on-time and did as much as he reasonably could do without assistance, but then he had to wait for the other guy to show up. I think CECS knew that the other guy had some personal business to take care of, so I think they should have sent out a full crew first thing. If we had a 2-man crew from the get-go, I think they would have finished the job much earlier (as it was, it was getting dark by the time they finished). (And this was on the 1st day that we had freezing temperatures in the morning, so we ended up with all windows removed and open for several hours before they could close them back up.) The Simonton windows appear to be excellent quality (at least equal or better than the Anlin's we used on a previous job). Oh, one very positive note to add: Our salesman, Lance, dropped by mid-morning to check on how things were going. I have NEVER had a salesman do that before and it was very much appreciated! Lance is very well versed on windows and that helped make the sale originally. His visit helped to offset my frustration with having a short crew, and perhaps he was instrumental in getting the other guy out here. If we need to replace any more windows or need other services that CECS performs, I will certainly give them an opportunity to bid.

Well it is 11/13. We still enjoy our windows. The guys were very helpful and quick. Think it took less than 2 days, (1) day to put in 13 windows.

They replaced 20 windows (all windows) and a little trim. The Simonton DaylightMax windows just look wonderful! We can't believe how good they look, and our house is so much more quiet. Gary Lee was very professional and thorough. Jason and his crew were also very professional and helpful. The instalation went smoothly with no surprises. The Simonton warranty is better than the other companies that we considered. The salesman was friendly and professional. He performed the routine measuring and quoting well, and offered good information regarding the product (Simonton vinyl). The contract was also clear and straightforward. I was advised I would be contacted within two weeks from date of contract to schedule installation for the third week. The installer arrived on time on the scheduled install date. He was very polite and informative and finished the work expertly and promptly, including thorough clean-up. I was advised that the credit transaction receipt and warranty paperwork would be mailed to me. This arrived, as promised, two weeks later. I would definitely recommend this company as the important aspects of their business, i.e., education of product, competitive pricing, and expert installation, are very much valued.

The appointment was scheduled for noon. At 11:45 the technician (Lance) called and said he was running a little late and couldn't arrive until 12:15. Excellent service already! He arrived and proceeded to pop out the window and reattach the weatherstripping - it took him about two minutes. He then explained and demonstrated how the window worked as far as how to pop it out. He said my windows are of pretty good quality and didn't see any reason to replace them. He gave me lots of good information and advice about what to do in the future if the windows fogged up or if the clips broke. If my windows ever need replacing, I will definitely call California Energy!

Work was delayed for two weeks as one of the windows was ordered inthe wrong color. Once received, the window did not have the inlet bars as the previous window had. Therefore, a new window had to be ordered, which took another two weeks. All in all, work was efficient and professional. I did find a few left over nails in the carpet once they had finished the job, but overall cleanup was good. A little delay in punctuality due to having the wrong address number, but this was corrected. In summary, everyone was pleasant and the price was right. I would recommend them and/or use them again. Thank you.

The experience was good. They were difficult to get contact with, and they were not responsive. We then got someone else to do the work. He did come out initially, and then the follow up was difficult. I would leave messages and call. We did not end up getting the final quote because he ddin't give us a quote for the door. He gave us a quote for the window, but the door was left hanging. He was professional, when I talked to him.

They have been great so far. The salesman was great. We are getting our water stop done that we normally do not get done from other people.

It was a great service, great work. They did exactly what they were supposed to do. They didn't leave a mess. They were very professional throughout, they were great. I'm very pleased with them.

No nonsense company. We needed a good product at a low price and a quick installation. Jerry came and gave us a bottom line (the only true bottom line of the four estimates we got) and we signed for installation. Our experience with the the sales end of things was positive - and finished quickly. Our installation team arrived on one of the hottest days of the year. They installed all eight of the windows without a hint of complaining or tail dragging. I felt sorry for them so I went to go get them a cold Gatorade. I came back just in time to see them finishing the job. All windows were installed neatly and the panes were cleaned - I could see!! I would use this company in a heartbeat again.... but I found them here on AL - and hired them confidently because of their rating.

I give them all A's and will use them again in the future.

I went to a Home and Garden show in Sacramento and from there scheduled several appointments/estimates on my window replacement project. Gary Lee was the gentleman who came to my home for the estimate and I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and the various options available through this company. Not all window companies are able to make the modification of enlarging a window, therefore, a separate contractor would have been necessary. This was a plus, and saved me money. I chose Simonton windows (white vinyl) and I absolutely love them. I have since referred others who were looking for windows and they too are very pleased with the quality of the windows, the workmanship, and the professionalism of CECS. My sister used CECS for her window replacement this month, and she is equally delighted. CECS prepares you for the scope of the project, but in every instance I am aware of, they complete the job before the timeline they estimate. They clean up 100% and the final project is excellent. I recommend them without hesitation. .
