Advanced Decking

I got a call back, time set up, he came out on a Sunday, which I thought was above normal customer service, and was looking forward to working with him. He said it was doable. Then he said he'd need his framing contractor to come out and take a look. He then text me a couple days later and said he'd have his contractor come take a look on Thursday. That was a week ago. I've tried to contact him with no reply. No-call/No-show is not good in my book. I don't need his bid anymore.

The job was initially done well but one board has come up and they have come over a few times to fix it but never got it done and now do not return my calls to come and fix the board. I have called at least 15 times and they do not return my call. The last time Mr. Bob Lange was here he said it would be a simple fix and would be back within a week to fix the board which was about 2 months ago.

Very pleased with the entire process. I knew right away Bob was the person for the job. He is very experienced and knowledgable about the products he uses. Very likeable and I knew right away he was the person for the job. His crew started at the agreed upon time and job was completed within our contracted end date. Attention to detail was high and the crew's performance was top notch. I highly recommend giving him the opportunity to compete for your business. I am confident he will win you over.

It went perfectly. The job was finished in a week and we couldn't be more pleased. I highly recommend this company for any decking needs.

Money well spent! The builder(s) are hard-working and professional; they took the time to explain the steps and willingly change one or two things at our request. We didn't realize how much goes into building a deck, but the builders know their stuff and built us a beautiful deck. Bob the owner made sure we were satisfied and happy with the deck, and we are over-the-top happy. Our neighbors are envious! Nothing but great things to say about the whole process, from the first consultation to the end product--a great experience all around. We recommend Advanced Decking wholeheartedly!

Bob's crew led by John and Mike did an excellent job in removing the old deck and building the new redwood deck.

Bob was excellent from day one. He arrived with photos of previous projects and was happy to make suggestions. He helped meet our concerns and make our deck a work of art. Bob added small details like a bar table top, finished rails, and boxes to hide exposed pipes. The job finished on time, everything was clean, and no issues were found. I appreciated the quality that went into the work. The finished product makes us wish we had completed this years ago.

We hired Advanced Decking to build a 200 square foot redwood deck in our backyard and couldn’t be more pleased with the results. It’s a beautiful finishing touch to our major backyard renovation. Bob, the owner came out to initially survey our situation and bid our job. He is very personable and obviously knew his craft and we liked him right off. We knew roughly what we wanted and he helped us to more precisely pin down the details of our project. We discussed options and how they would result in a lower or higher price. He made suggestions based on his many years of experience and knowledge, including of local laws and ordinances related to our project. The final agreed-upon price was very competitive with our other bids. His lead carpenter John, and assistant, Tim, were both very polite, personable and hard working. They were on time and answered all questions and addressed all concerns as the project continued through to the finish. The result is a very sturdy and beautiful deck that we have no doubt will last the 30 years that it is designed to last. It will also easily handle all the weight and use we plan to give it. I enthusiastically recommend their services!

Bob and his excellent crew worked in temperatures that were at or over 100 for 5+ days to get the deck finished in time for the arrival of family to celebrate my daughter's college graduation. Every request I made was honored, and in a way that worked seamlessly into the construction of the deck. Bob's suggested changes and alterations were perfect, and they made the deck even more perfect. He never pressured me to pay, even when I tried to come up with a way to do it while out of town. I am totally impressed with their work methods and innovative ideas to beat the heat. I highly recommend them for your decking needs.

Excellent. Bob gave us a great price. it was well within our budget and expectations.. The work was done on time. His crew was amazing very polite, very nice group of guys. The work was very detailed. He is the only company I will use in the future

He came over and I showed him what I wanted .... He was to call me with a price and e-mail floorplan , he disappeared... I called him 2 weeks later he apologised and said he would complete his paperwork and call me and re e-mail me ... No word!!!! I feel like he thinks since I live in old roseville I can not pay? Who knows but this is very unprofessional.....

The product has a very long warranty of 20+years. |I scheduled the work a couple of weeks in advance and waited for them on the appointed day. They neither showed nor called me. This really set my schedule off as I had other plans to accommodate. I called, got an apology of sorts, and rescheduled...again a "no show," as their current job still wasn't complete...this went on day by day for another week and was very frustrating to say the least. Finally, about 10 days later they did come and rushed building the deck in about 3 days instead of 4 they'd scheduled and had it almost completed before I left for a trip. I did not appreciate their being so far off with the timing, but all in all they did a GREAT JOB and I do love the deck and the 2 benches and the 2 sets of steps.|Bob, the owner, also made a tiny table for me from the scraps, at my request, and this helped offset the delay problems and satisfied my mind that they really did mean well and showed it by going the extra mile. I think he might have added the benches as a goodwill gesture also...(not sure if they were part of the bid) Together we also changed the original design to accommodate a unique opening to get to the crawl space under the deck. This was because I was advised by my lawn guy - during those waiting days - to extend the width of the deck all the way across the space between two walls, (which would then cover the crawl space). So, the new "straight board design," rather than my original angled design, made the installation go much faster, with much less cutting. They also made another custom accommodation for a hot water cabinet door which extends below the deck and might need to be opened. I was/am impressed with Bob's ingenuity to figure out how to solve both of these custom problems! He actually is a very experienced deck builder and a great guy; he just was overbooked and didn't take the time to call me when he must have known at least by Saturday that he wasn't going to show up for my work on Monday - a bad and unacceptable business practice I'd say. Otherwise he would have had a top rating from me, but I thought this review should reflect the true account. I do recommend him, but be aware of the above stated issue when scheduling. :-)

Responded to call immediately. Provided a competitive bid. Showed up on time. Did a very good job. Repaired deck and fence as well. Could not ask for more, will hire again for sure. In fact recommending to a friend who needs the same service. Love the look of the backyard!

Just 4 out of 5. Felt like he could have been more respectful of daughter, who had just delivered a baby the previous month.

ADVANCED DECKING Advance Decking, were very, very good, worked with me with my dogs so I could let them in and out when they needed me to.. It was a difficult job because the deck was over a pool. The two men that was doing the work went right to work, didn't mess around, was always on time for me and was very professional. Advance Decking, worked with me to work around my schedule with my check and stuff. They had figured out the deck was original put together wrong. I was very impressed!
